The boyfriend plays the monkey and it's highly irritating that the companion character is so blunt when I think a more nuanced role would have been more effective.

Got some Nadeko Snake vibes at the end. No sensation on Earth like getting penetrated orally. Then there is an Eva reference too.

Really hope there is a satisfying answer in regards to the Raaja because where did Chris get infected by one and what would cause it? The acoustic piece near the end when Juna takes the shot was really quite something else. I also thought the ending was going to go in a different direction than it did.

This episode was bad and all over the place.

Maybe it was because i've already read this part in the manga but much of this episode felt flat .

Now don't get me wrong i'm glad that friendship between girl can bloom while playing house of the dead 3 co-op..But i couldn't help but notice the VERY low quality they use for the character and the very high number of reused assets from the previous season or previous episodes.

Isumi and her mom are perfect example of cut corners as they always talk with their hand in front of their month , meaning that they don't have to bother animating that part.

I'm not a fan of this season art style .. previous season was , well weird but this season feel cheap on all fronts

i feel that if i didn't read the manga first i would have dropped this show already

Juna really has a disdain for dem Merikan Burgers. Granted, one almost killed her and Tokio but wow. Then she has some kind of out of body experience again talking to Tokio on the phone. What is this, Lain? Ohhhh shit what is THIS? DUN DUN DUN!

I really like this show if I'm quite honest. Its not perfect or anything and its weird as fuck but...I really like it. The soundtrack is really incredible. Yoko Kanno at her finest. At least one Yoko musician gets it right.

well, this episode gives away a lot about the story, maybe too much too soon I feel.

there is probably a scenario where someone takes over Chamber later, the hints aren't subtle exactly, some pirate has seemingly infiltrated under cover too obviously.

the show has really fun settings but the story I feel, is giving away everything a bit too soon, I feel pretty confident right now what's going to happen next, I take it it's supposed to be a simple story obviously.

I didn't notice how they show the preview of next episode in the ED until know >.>

Sailor Moon episode 45 and 46 were edited so heavily by DiC that 50 minutes of footage was reduced to 22 minutes. These are the kinds of things that led to people having a total disdain for english dubs. It wasnt necessarily the voice dubbing, but the cuts. Those deep wounding horrible show changing cuts. fuck them and fuck the people behind them.

Hmm, maybe I'm missing something but I'm really not seeing it. Outside of the opening pose everything is completely different and even then the cuts of that pose are handled too differently to be called an homage.

Also am I crazy for thinking the CCS OP1 is better than OP3? I've never watched the show so maybe I'm missing something meaninful in OP3. Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for fun flying scenes and have a distaste for the whole monochrome bodies going opposite directions at the edges of the screen, is there a name for that btw? Seems like it's common enough that there should be some trope for it or something.

Episodes 14-26

Capt. Kuro is one crazy motherfucker. And fast. And just plain evil. Once a ruthless captain and doesn't give a damn about his crew members. Was so awesome to see Luffy put that fucker in his place. I would like to think that Kuro's crew members killed him once they were on the ship, but it wouldn't surprise if that bastard shows his face again in a future episode. And at least Jango lived! Along with Kaya and the little kids (and Merry too I suppose >_>). They'll probably show up again in a future episode as well.

The treasure island episode with the guy stuck in the treasure chest....eh. Guess it provides a necessary breather.

Loved the Zoro flashback episode. All that training and he still couldn't beat Kuina....and he never will ;_;. And watching him getting his ass kicked by Hawkeye Mihawk...goddamn. Gonna take a whole lot more of training and strength if he ever intends to take that guy down.

And then there's Sanji, who still refuses to be part of Luffy's crew...for now. How can I not like this guy? Put that asshole Marine in place, and willing to die to insure Ghin doesn't kill Red Foot Zeff, the man who saved his life (and that was a pretty good flashback episode of the two). Other than showing too much affection towards Nami (who isn't worth it), the dude is cool in my book.

And speaking of Nami, the treasure schtick is starting to get old. Good thing there was so little of her as soon as Don Krieg crashed the party. And now she's gone with the ship to catch a big reward. Bitch move, but the less of her for now, the better.

I anxiously await to see Don Krieg in action. I really do hate just seeing him just standing there on his destroyed ship while Ghin and that goofy-looking fucker Pearl are doing the fighting for him. Hopefully it won't be long now as the Ghin/Sanji is set to begin next episode.

Interest in this show still hasn't fallen off yet, so that's a good sign. I'll continue with the next set of episodes tomorrow night.

Hey kids, if you reduce your food intake, we can solve world hunger. So stop being an asshole and think of the starving children in Africa. I'm also still not sure whether that boyfriend is intentionally flirting with Sayori or he's too dense. The one standout thing from this show though, is the soundtrack.
