Anyway I'm not into the GTA games really but I liked saints row 2 and 3 maybe cause I can customize my character or its the ragdoll physics.

But of all the past GTAs , San Andreas looked the best cause that game seemed to have everything

I'm talking about how it all began with mob movies. The real mafioso were thugs and crooks and slimeballs, not really different from any of the other immigrant crime families that came over in the early 20th century. Yes they took their secrecy very seriously, but all that honor and drama and "doing it all for my family" the shit that the people take as redeeming qualities was mostly crap. These people were working class crooks who dealt in human misery, trying to scrape together as much money and hood power they could manage.

I'm not saying there weren't hoods that enjoyed the good life and lived like bosses. Big cars and black suits and big houses. I'm saying that they were all pieces of shit that got dusted off and elevated by the Godfather, romanticized so now we got kids on a message board talking about "yeah those Italian mobsters really knew how to do it", like they somehow weren't walking human scum.

Now they look like crime nobility.

(it's just interesting (to me) how these things filter down, I think. and the lasting perceptions, and how things gradually change, soften, and become more acceptable.)

i'm biased against sweet tea. i don't hate it, but i drink my tea with no sugar. hot or cold, doesn't matter. down here in the south i always seem to get caught ordering tea with breakfast and they bring me sweet tea, then i have to be like "doh! i meant HOT tea!"

I'm not sure how I feel on it all as a whole.

One of my best friends through high school kinda had me in a weird spot. Everyone in our circle kinda looked out for each other and their family - his sister though... we didn't even talk at all til I hit college and came back. By then, we both grew up a lot in a lot of ways. My friend stayed on the ignorant shit on the other hand. We both saw that and some of the other guys in that circle too.

Dude let some young new guy roll with us a couple of times and he seemed okay until the sister came around. I saw some fucked up shit between the two of them go down. I wasn't about to not let a grown woman NOT deal with her own shit but at the same time I wanted to let my friend know that this new guy just pushed up on his sister.

Thought I was talking to my best friend but that conservation played out a lot different than I imagined. The sister and I ended up being real cool after that. Others saw my friend was getting left behind in life and making had choices. Just weird how things play out.


Another time I had a friend's sister ask me to take her to the prom - in front of him and his mom.
