Truly the best villager. I'm actually secretly hoping I get them so I can take all sorts of screenshots.
You gotta buy the fortune cookies [costs 3DS play coins] and hope you get the corresponding cookie for it.Is that...a Midna hat? How do I get that?!

They are cheap though [2] and you can only buy one a day in the beginning, 2 at max when you upgrade shop.Good thing I haven't spend any 3DS coins in forever. I have hundreds. :lol
I'm kind of nervous about getting caught up in the hype but the game being absolutely boring. Is doing stuff fun?
Nah I'd rather give the 3D (supposedly best-yet) one a go and let the chips lie where they fall. Same with Pokemon X (even though I played White for a few hours and was pretty disinterested). It's hard to explain the game without it coming off as the most boring thing ever. Maybe see if you can get a hold of one of the past games for cheap and see how it goes?
I dunno about you guys, but I want a hamster in my town.

Are they bringing back that feature from City Folk where the grass deteriorates as you walk on it?
Ok good. My entire town was dirt in City Folk because the grass took years to grow back.Yes, but in smaller does and it's reversible by planting flowers and trees on the dirt.
It makes really pretty paths, though, and as long as you don't full run all over you'll be fine.
Is it at all feasible to keep restarting a new file until I get Hopper in my town at the start?
I have no idea how many villagers you get at the start or how many there are total but I'd be willing to do this if the odds of getting him aren't too bad. It broke my heart deleting my town on WW because I let weeds take over by not playing for months. I miss Hopper and his cranky ass.
I'd pay like three dollars or something to Nintendo to just let me pick him at the start of my town as a villager.
I preordered a physical copy but I'm really tempted to get a digital copy instead. Decisions, decisions.

I know you start with 5 villagers. I don't think there's an official villager count but it wouldn't surprise me at all if it was 300+.
I played with 3 other people in my town. The grass was gone so quickly it was ridiculous.
Good morning everyone! Let's see what music I'd have if I had New Leaf again..

Aw yeah. Adorable. Plinky plonky. Cute.
This will be my first Animal Crossing game.
Me too. My chance to understand the hype everyone feels.
I really wasn't planning on getting it. Shibata and his wonderful so many f*****g games program left me no choice.
And now I'm hyped. Thank you.
Bummer about getting pop-tart XL is I can't start saving up play coins now and adding everyone.
I'll take itI am off to bed (at 5, lol), but before I go, I made this a couple days ago, not gonna use it:

It's up for grabs, and all that
Does the game have time travel still? I really don't have the time to grind fruit every day, so in these games after a couple of months I prefer to TT and live off the monthly interest.

yeah, Animal Crossing's appeal is kinda hard to explain
you either got the bug or you don't, there's no real way of kowing if it's your kinda thing until you play it. It's whatever you make of it.
I also bought a 3DS for Animal Crossing.
I just find it relaxing to listn to the music, run around and jus pick up fruit. It is the ultimate chill out game.
I guess this is a silly question but what's so good about animal crossing? Never played one before.
