Figured I'd post this here since I can't seem to find a dedicated TLOU thread; does anyone know when we can expect to see some multiplayer news? I was deciding whether to wait for TLOU to go down in price or just pre-order it soon and saw I could get the Joel Edition for £44 from Tesco, really tempted to do it.

They will be showing MP soon. That's all they've really said.
Regarding MP, they have commented that they worked very hard to retain the tone and feel of the single player (tension, crafting, brutality) and get it to work in a competitive game mode. They think it is cool.
But we won't be seeing it for a little while yet.

I think that Sony should have considered organizing two separate events : A 45 minutes mini-conference on Vita and PS3, and a 90 minutes PS4 only meeting. There is no way they could match the number of games Microsoft is about to reveal in two weeks, and that's a shame, because they've been having the upper hand for the last months...
About 90 minutes will probably be PS4 stuff. I also don't think that MS is going to announce all 15 of the exclusives at E3. Those are for the first year, not launch.

I agree..They will show GT6, TLoU, and a sizzle reel for PS3, then about 20 minutes of Vita, then close with PS4 blowout. I'm sure some of Microsoft's exclusives from the Infamous 15 are not ready to be revealed.
Sony's are generally 1.5 - 2 hours. I don't see them being too short of the 2 hour mark with a PS4 blowout, PS3 talk, and Vita talk.

I'm more concerned about the kind of exclusives they will have. It is still unknown how many of those will be Kinect or download-only games. I wonder which ones they will choose to show on their conference.

Do you guys remember the NCSoft-Sony deal back in E3 2007? Do you think they would revisit it for PS4? I'm sure NCSoft still has plans to enter the console space and with the PS4 & Xbox One being more like a PC in terms of architecture. They could probably develop much easier compared to last gen. They could develop games side by side with PC versions or create console specific MMOs.
Of course Sony has SOE, but NCSoft also has a pretty decent pedigree. It would be interesting to see them enter the console space though.

Respawns game at least has rumours behind it unlike the others and crazy buttocks on a train supported it so it has a high chance of happening. The others are just wishful thinking.
We will see soon though. There are many third party games who have the opportunity to go exclusive: Dead Rising 3 has apparently been grabbed by Sony/Nintendo, Capcom doesn't want to confirm Deep down for xbone etc.

Weren't two conferences back in 05-06 over 2 hr? Ok they had a press conference back in feb, but still 2hr might not be enough since they have VITA, PS3 and a console to show. To talk more about XMB, services, price? then games. 2 hr won't cut it. Unless they say PS3 vita stuff will be shared with you during gamescom.

You misunderstand, the interview that made that comment he was not talking about development. He was talking about his personal game time, the 360, was his favorite gaming device to play on.
Beth likes MS, like it or not. Its why every one of their games has had significant exclusivity windows with 360, though im sure that was also helped by Microsofts checkbook.
