Completely concede I got confused in me being so right that I put the peak point at November.

It's March.

I'll make another correction. Growth has been astronomical after a stagnation and decline.

We've now slightly, just about matched March numbers.

LoL we're coming for you.

You're also just looking at the concurrent numbers without looking at the number of people playing.

yeah and this is why we always judge a company's financial health based on their monthly ledgers and not their year over year financial statements...

something something short term vs long term trends

What's that got to do with anything?

I said their recent performance has been stagnant/demonstrated a downward trend.

Something something Riot laughing to the bank.

Keep LoL vs Dota talk out of this thread, nobody cares. Dota's activity drops around exam time, big deal, it's nothing new.

The Na'Vi QPAD game was fun to watch (lol blink sniper), but god damn Sheever is such a bad caster. Wouldn't shut up about those snow balls.

What a fucking drama queen, he's hilarious.

He was riding Loda's ass pretty hard. I kinda wanted to punch Aui in the fucking face during the G1 cast when Loda was playing PL, which I assume this is about. "Nobody plays PL right" blah blah. Like anyone would ever mistakenly attach the word "perfect" to Aui's play. On and on he went. His items were wrong, his build was wrong, his pushing wasn't satisfactory. As they beat LGD by the way, which Dignitas can't. Backseat drive less, please.

+1 Aui. Talk all you want. It's more interesting than kissing ass.

If you so hot shit Loda co-cast a Dignitas game.

Who the fuck cares about this, i really don't understand. The other day i was watching Mushi play Shadow Fiend and i kept telling to myself "why the hell isn't he treads switching". Does the fact that Mushi is obviously at least ten times the player i am somehow makes my point invalid?

for some reason everyone thinks that in order to provide criticism you have to be better than the person you are criticising, which obviously isn't the case

There's a nice, large area that can be inhabited in between talking talking shit/whining/being overly critical...and kissing ass. He should work on finding that place if he's going to continue to co-cast. Nobody wants to hear someone doing nothing but bitching about what people aren't doing to his satisfaction as they win the game. Or, there's a way to present it so that it's not offered to listeners as redundant negativity.

For example, instead of saying, "OMG why doesn't be split the illusions so that the AOE doesn't kill them! People just don't play PL right..." He could say, "for their next push into the base, PL could maximize his illusions and mantas by splitting them into 2 groups so that they can't all be bursted down by Kunkkas aoe. Ez rax." Same message, but without the smug assholishess and negativity. Sometimes it's how you say what you have to say rather than what you say.

Validity of the point is irrelevant in this discussion. Delivery is, and it was the wholly, unendingly negative delivery that created this conversation and situation in the first place. You could be the fucking President. If you can't find a neutral or positive way to offer a critique, it will always be poorly received. Leadership Training 101.

He's insinuating that short term trends, which you are basing Dota2's popularity decline on, are less important than long term trends (which show Dota 2 on the rise). I shouldn't need to explain this.

When in doubt, just shut up Loda. You are supposed to at least act professional.

The inability of nearly every single professional player to handle basic PR situations like this will never seize to amaze me.

It's not that hard to just pause and think for a second before using social media channels. Veterans like Puppey or Loda should really know better by now. Instead they keep making themselves look like complete jerks at least once per month.

Then why did you even mention that Aui's team can't win against LGD? Just a jab? That seems awfully negative of you, maybe next time you could just avoid mentioning it to optimize your delivery.

Did you ever watch an actual professional cast? Like a football one? There's no positive way to say that someone straight up made a mistake besides saying that maybe this isn't their game.

He's just a pro player. He doesn't have the polish of broadcast training and probably never will. Reigning him in is the role of the main caster.

To me it's refreshing to hear someone talk candidly.

All I said that Dota 2's numbers have recently been stagnating/declining.

It could hover around this number and VALVe will still make a disgraceful amount of money.

Yeah its funny listening to how personal Loda takes these things. If every proffesional soccer player would act like this on every little bit of criticism from commentators, they would hardly have time to actually play.

Loda is a drama queen who cant really get over himself.

I use disgraceful interchangeably with obscene.

don't understand how it can be seen as trolling for replies when its the truth in regards to recent numbers.

are we expecting a big balancing patch before the international? Any chance of a new character in the mean time?
