Did the rounds on twitter again.
Customers have only themselves to blame if they support shit like this. I hope all the people worried about platform owners blocking used games and extensive DRM usage bought a Wii U!
Yoshida (@yosp) should be waking up pretty soon if he is in Japan currently. He's going to look at his phone and be like "these freaking guys are still at it!?!?"
Day two, yoshi!!!

I'll say this.
In all honesty, this whole situation doesn't effect me as much. I don't buy used,. I don't lend out many games nor do I borrow them. I rent a lot but honestly most games I rent aren't great and thus that's why I rented them...but even with all of that. Having options is always better than not.
i get that potentially used games, lending and all that jazz causes dudes to lose money..That sucks but this system only serves to fuck people over more. So I don;t buy tons of used games but what about the kids who loves games but aren't wealthy. People often point to gamespots rip off 55 dollar used games but fuck those...what about the games that are out of print but there used for 20 bucks. I knew a bunch of kids who couldn't afford the new Madden so they bough the two years old versions. They would be fucked over with this system. What about the friends who borrow games? I just didn't try out many games. i stayed in my comfort zone but my brother let me borrow NBA Live whatever. It literally got me into sports, without that I wouldn't be able to discover new stuff. Demos often suck so renting or borrowing is often the best way to get new experiences.
Regardless, like I said, fi they go with this...it wouldn't hurt me. But it would negatively effect a lot of others. In fact the used games part doesn't really bother as much as the always online and the difficulty of lending. The proposed system just cuts down the userbases. Niche games will falter because people cant take a chance on them. and in order to make up for that companies will only make even safer games. More shooters and racers because they sell.
I get that there is a problem. But I just think this method isn't too strong or misguided if that;s what they are truly targeting here.
Thank you Europe, you guys did some serious heavy lifting today. Don't fuck with a european's consumer rights!
If I buy a game and pay fcking 60,00 for it then its mine possession. I decide what to do with MINE game.
Whats next, car dealers asking a fee if you buy a used car or it wont start.
Its my fcking game and I decide what happens.

Sorry Cliffy, it's not MY job to look at the numbers. It is my RIGHT as a consumer however to make noise about practices that affect me as a consumer if I choose to do so.A little more nuance...

I thought this dude was here for the gamers.....but he is here to make a "stand" Cant blame him, he is rich but want to be even richer
Someone explain to me why a publisher deserves any cut of a sale of my physical property?
No other existing market behaves that way. If I sell my car tomorrow VW doesn't deserve squat.
It must be intentional misdirection that these industry insiders keep responding as if we are talking about digital sales. This is about physical media. Full. Stop.

If all this DRM shit goes down as it's looking to at the moment, they will never see a single cent from me again. The only way they'll see me playing their games is when their consoles get the hell hacked out of them, and I will go full pirate on their asses.
