It depends on the number of entrances. If 1200 people enter then that's 12,000 dollars. They did add some pot bonus to some games last year which is why Marvel was 15k, but I think that was the Cannon's themselves. MK9 and SF4 got money straight from the publishers. But yeah, Marvel should have over 1000+ entrances again for EVO 2K13 and be somewhere over 10k in prize money.

And next year, hopefully we'll get pot bonuses from that Stonehearth and Divekick money.

I was on saltybets first, then 10 lagged bets with a ridiculous betting window (after the match starts for 10 seconds) later, I got on bipson bucks which was so much better. RIP :(

Viscant with that "winning EVO is worthless" rebuttal:

Ryan Ramirez said on twitter that winning Evo changed his life. For me, winning Evo let me live my life. While I'm still super hungry to play, to learn more and to win, the pressure is gone. The past couple years I've moved forward with my career and creatively. I finally finished a novel that I'd been working on for years. People can say what they want about my gameplay now (and they do) and I don't care. I did it, I made it to the top of a mountain I'd been looking at for 10 years. I did it. I'm still going to go this year and I'm still going to practice hard in the coming weeks and when I lose I'm still going to be disappointed and think I could have done better but it doesn't matter the same way it used to. I've moved on. Winning let me move on.

I was salty just watching that match. I already popped off about Zero and if that happened to me I would've quit the game right there and then.

Actually reading the post he isn't even that salty. He was the one who put Flux in losers 3-0. He said that it was late at night and just wanted to go home which left him open to getting perfected. He's just a bit annoyed that no one respected his placements before but everyone is on his ass for the quad perfect... a perfectly legitimate reaction.

I'm also a baiken player that is working on IAD tatamis. I have a decent feel for them in training mode but have a very poor success rate in actual matches. The input i do for the iad tatami is 236956 K and your right with the hard part the timing of the kick. I find that pressing K instantly won't get you the desired results. I put a slight delay in the kick, but if u wait too long you get an IAD K.

Here's a good video showing one of the best baikens in Japan.

The combo at 3:56 is an example of an FRC tatami combo. An FRC tatami combo does a lot more dmg because without a FRC you would have to do P -> S -> Dust which does less.

Yea I've been doing the grounded FRC tatami combos already, since normally I can't follow up the normal tatami unless it was on counter hit or get the black beat. I was wondering which tatami combos he was having trouble with, because I've been trying to nail some ones down. Mid screen after FRC tatami and do jS FRC jD, I've been trying to land a air dash tatami to corner carry into more damage, but I think I've been hitting them with a tatami too high because the time they tech is around the time they hit the wall but can't get up there fast enough. Though different characters also need to be factored in because practicing combos against Sol and Ky I notice a difference even on corner combos such as following up a jD in the bnb with just an airdash into an extension.

edit: Just went to training mode this moment and just tried different distances to the wall. I was practicing at the distance as if I jump over them at the start of the round and that felt too high but I feel I can make that connect somehow. If it was normal starting position distances it's awkward because they would bounce off the wall and onto my other side, so I need to take that in account, but there is a sweet spot where it's rather easy. But I want to get this down so I have a corner carry at more than just the easy spots.

I never used either, so can someone give me a brief rundown on what the beef was between bipson bank and salty bets?
Bipson came first, Salty copied (although with slightly different mechanics on how to place bets). Bipson dropped it because of real life stuff and didn't like being copied.
