I'm holding out for a hero.

At this point I hope the story for Arya becomes about her training to become an elite assassin. Get trained in brutal swordplay by the dark hound later leaves to search for the magician/assassin to learn magic and be a stealth assassin. Probably won't happen but the red hair witch did say to Arya that she would have lots of bloodshed on her hands or something like that.

In regards to the story... I'm not sure where they go from here. All the good guys are pretty much gone.

Remaining "good guys":
-Jon Snow
-Arya
-Bran/Jojen/Jojen's sister
-Rickon/Osha
-Tyrion
-Daenarys (let's ignore all the sacking)
-Daario (I BELIEVE IN DAARIO. His motive (shagging Dany) is fair and just, and he seems relatively incorruptible... for the time being
-Brienne (who is now totally free of her duties so maybe she'll just do one)
-Jaimie (he just hides it well)

Selmy and Jorah should be on that list as well, maybe Jorah a bit less because of the assassination recommendation lol.

Yeah Arya's getting quality time with all the great baddasses of Westeros.

I personally like Jamie, but you've got to have some pretty messed up morals to toss a child out of a window. He's not a good guy, he may have been humbled by recent events, but I don't see him every being as good as any of the rest on this list.

Jaime as a "good guy" lol.

Even in the first season, it was clear Jamie had a strong moral code. One that, at the evil end, let him push a child out of a window to kill him, but at the other end, not killing Ned when they were fighting due to another solider shooting him with an arrow. Remember, Tywin was pissed at him (during his awesome introductory stag butchering scene) for not offing him, but Jamie saying it wouldn't have been honourable.

I take it the bastard son will be fighting Dany for the finale.

Hey guys, I hear they're making a book series based on this awesome TV show!

Anyways, great episode. Now you know why Tywin has been writing letters all season. And to clear something up, "The Lannisters send their regards" is not a family saying, "A Lannister always pays his debts" is. The "sends their regards" line comes from what Jaime says to Roose when leaving Harrenhall. Something like, in regards to the upcoming wedding, "Tell Robb Stark the Lannisters send their regards." Naturally, Roose was nice enough to pass along Jaime's message, although it had a much different meaning from what Jaime intended. No, Jaime had nothing to do with the Red Wedding; he was too busy being a prisoner, getting his hand cut off and fighting bears to have any part in planning that.

Also, I'm glad "Blackfish" Tully got out when he did, that random tree is a hero. Hopefully he just slunk off when everything started going down. As for Edmure, you have to think he's still alive but hostage. He is the lord of Riverrun and thus the key to the castle for the Freys. They'd have a much harder time getting in and would unnecessarily lose men if they tried to take it by force without Edmure as a bargaining chip.

Can't wait for the finale next week!

Jaimie's just smart enough to know there's no point trying to be a good guy in person. Save your morals from when you're in the shit, and you truly need them to avoid becoming the monster everyone makes you out to be; the rest of the time, act like a prick, it's fucking Westeros.

Did you just both confirm and discredit the idea that there's a connection in that message? :p

Jaime actually is a good guy. In the books, you have the benefit of seeing things from his point of view (from the third book on), and it turns out he's just misunderstood. Just a dude that really loves his sister.

I don't understand why everyone is so angry. I kind of think Robb and Catelyn had it coming. I mean he really shouldn't have broken his promise and it's not like he didn't have blood on his hand either. He should not have killed the guy who was obviously acting out of the pain of having his son killed and not getting any justice. Catelyn has been getting on my nerves also because of her dumb decisions undermining the effort to win the war.

I'm still happy because Jon Snow is my favorite character anyway.

SANSA

Don't count the Starks out.

Call me crazy, but I still think the end will be a time for wolves.

Why do people say Brienne is free of her oath? She still has to get Sansa doesn't she? Just because Cat is dead doesn't mean that she is freed from all obligations.

I have liked Jon from the very beginning. I relate to him a lot.

I've created a moral compass for all major characters which is 100% correct

Eddard Stark - Lawful Good
Catelyn Stark - Lawful/Chaotic Good
Robb Stark - Lawful Good
Sansa Stark - Lawful Good
Arya Stark - Chaotic Good
Bran Stark - Chaotic Good
Jon Snow - Lawful Good
Theon Greyjoy - Chaotic Neutral

Tywin Lannister - Lawful Evil
Tyrion Lannister - Chaotic Good
Cersei Lannister - Neutral Evil
Jaime Lannister - Chaotic Neutral
Joffrey Baratheon - Chaotic Evil

Daenerys Targaryen - Neutral Good
Jorah Mormont - Lawful Neutral?

Bronn - Chaotic Neutral
The Hound - Chaotic Neutral/Evil
Varys - True Neutral
Peter Baelish - Neutral Evil
Stannis Baratheon - Lawful Neutral
Melisandre - Lawful Evil
Ygritte - Chaotic Neutral
Sam - Neutral Good
Brienne - Lawful Good
Margaery Tyrell - Chaotic Neutral
Lady Olenna Tyrell - Chaotic Good?
Thoros of Myr - Chaotic Good

At least for me, this is 100% spot on. Well done.

I really hope it doesn't end with the Starks having a happy ending. That would be too much of a fairytale ending which wouldn't fit the series at all. As in real life, the good guys don't always win (actually most of the time they don't) so I hope this story ends that way too.

I just watched it... Are you fucking serious?

WHY?

This shit is so good it's bad, I'm not sure I like this show anymore...

WHAT THE FUCK! DAMN IT!

Book Shit

Dude haven't you read the books?

Don't keep doing this shit. People have got banned for less.

We don't need you to tell us what level of involvement people have had in the wedding. The show will tell us next week. And though I'm sure this will shock you, WE'D RATHER FIND OUT FROM THE SHOW THAN FROM YOU.

Jesus fucking Christ.

I think it's pretty obvious we're not getting a fairy tale ending.

But I honestly do believe the scattered Stark children are the true heart of the story, and to discount the Starks at this point is an easy thing to do, but wrong.

The fact that the Starks seem hopeless at this point actually bodes well for the Stark children.

I gotta say. the story thread I care the most about at this point is Bran in the North. I actually like the supernatural stuff and all the child actors are really good, especially Bran. The kid has got some gravitas.

Don't kill Bran motherfuckers.

I have liked Jon from the very beginning. I relate to him a lot.

Do you look like him too? Can we bang?

Interested to see what happens next week

It it follows suit from the previous two seasons, episode 10 will be underwhelming compared to the ep it follows, wrap a few loose ends, but then end with an amazing event/scene that sets the tone for season 4. Season 1 ended with the birth of the dragons, season 2 properly introduced the White Walkers. Fuck knows that will happen next week.

Holy hell I just remembered.

EPISODE 1.

Remember how the Starks come across the Direwolves?

The mother wolf is dead. The wolf pups are parentless. The pack is torn apart.

The Stark family being torn apart was telegraphed from the beginning.

But I believe this story will belong to the Stark children more than anyone else.

I was not prepared for this.

Not at all.

I havent visited this thread for weaks and had never heard about a red wedding before. I really got a bad feeling when robb dispatched with just a few men to get the wedding done. The overal tone was way to positive. Everything went to well.. something had to happen. In the exact moment when i finally believed nothing would happen anymore someone closed the door... well, thats suspicious. But nah, there has to be an explanation to that. Maybe just some surprise or an intimate speach by the father of the bride.

And then they play the Lannister Song. The fucking Lannister Song.

And then hell broke loose.

I need to make a decision whether or not to continue watching this show. Will the starks fight back in any way shape or form?

I'm waiting for Robs vengeance, this show is pummelling viewers who expect some form of satisfaction for the Starks.

Last episode put me right off, that pregnant lady, mother seeing her son butchered then the mother has her throat slit... it's not good viewing. Didn't like it one bit.
