Console exclusive. ME2 may come to PC at some point, it's not rumoured whether Titan will.

Yep, I'd be more dubious, but the mods consider him 100% legit.

In the case of Titan and ME2, a few other sources like crazybuttocks have rumoured this too though, so I suppose it's not that outlandish.

Thanks. What's Titan though?

I look so good on that train :) Glad I didn't miss this one!

Could someone xboxify my avatar por favor?

See, that's why I don't get. People say that MS didn't give a shit about Japan, or people interested in Japanese games, but whether it be reaching out to Japanese developers, stumblings of the PS3 early on, or the ease of multiplatform development through the 360, Japanese games increased ten-fold from the Xbox.

Look at the recent Japanese titles released: Tales of Xillia, Tales of Symphonia collection, Jojo fighting game, Final Fantasy X collection, One Piece Mosou, Kingdom Hearts collection.

And many more that MS simply didn't bother to moneyhat because who cares about Japan now we got Call of Duty and Kinect and we are busy making a new console please understand.

I think he was the one who said LoL, Hawken, and Dead Rising 3 as well, right? That's a really good line-up already if true.

It'd be crazy if like Insomniac made Crackdown 3 or something. I'm guessing it'll be a new IP though. Maybe that stylistic sword+shield game at the top right of the "games" screen they showed off at the unveil?

Yeah that's right, would be a pretty good lineup as far as third party exclusives are concerned.

Top right sword and shield game just screams Journey to me, but you could be on to something. Someone's going to have to make Crackdown 3, though after FUSE's epic bomba, I'm not sure I want Insomniac touching it.

People said MS didn't give a shit about Japan and people are saying it again. They are wrong on both fronts and I look forward to drinking each and every drop of their salty tears.

Transparent one for you.

PS4 and XBOX ONE are almost same architecture, so these titles (Tales of..FF..) will multi-platform in next generation I think.

All those collection games.

I think setting up Microsoft Studios Osaka, dedicated solely to Japanese content, speaks for itself.

Also the Japanese market itself is changing, the most asked for games (from known MS IPs) on 2ch and other forums are TFLO or Phantom Dust 2, an MMO and a game popular for it's multiplayer. Never mind the fact that consoles simply don't sell like handhelds do there now.

Also, independent of the above, I maintain we will be seeing Lost Odyssey 2.

Well, not sure how Microsoft didn't get a deal with Square for the two collections of PS2 games for the 360. Tales of Symphonia collection was announced today. Tales of Xilia is indeed an exclusive as well, just like Vesperia was for the 360 earlier on for a while this generation.

Not sure about the other two. I can't even find the name of that JoJo game. The remake was released on XBLA last year though.

If those are all your examples, I'm not sure if that's exactly a stellar example of MS giving up. For some reason I remember MGS V still being planned for the 360. Same thing with Lost Planet 3.

I know I'm new here, but is there anyway somebody could put me on that beast of a train? Also, if someone could xboxify my avatar I'd be eternally grateful.

Man fuck MS can't you just put in a fucking standard mic port into the bitch? Sorry, I love my 360, but it's just frustrating.

I'm definitely not going to complain until I see what kind of accessories they are planning

Considering they are talking 7.1 headsets means audio can go through the controller which is a huge win for me. Just hope we have options

I have thousands of dollars invested in headphones and thousands invested in headsets already

Not getting One Piece Mosou, one of the biggest selling games in Japan this Gen, is giving up to me.

And not just a matter of not getting ports but not releasing any sequels to thier new Japanese IPs.

See Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinte Undiscovery, Last Remnant and whatever else I can't remember right now.

And they don't have Itagaki now so no more exclude DOA games nor one at launch.

MS got laaaaazy after Kinect and now it's biting them in the ass.

Your being pretty ignorant if you think Xbox got even 30% of the games PS3 got in Japan throughout this gen. What MS did was moneyhat some studios and got the big names on the xbox and expected the Japanese to come flying.

If a new console manafacturer entered the Western games market for instance, and had all the big games coming to the platform and some smaller games exclusive would you buy that system or the one thats been around 10 years and you know will get third party support?

They've been hitting the gas hard the last few years for the Xbox One it seems.

Sure.

You guys, Spencer teased fans of Rare IP will be pleased.

Conker is a combat platformer...

Most sources point to Rare using their two teams on KI and a new Kinect title...

Rumor that Insomniac is making an exclusive for MS...

Insomniac is making a new Conker...

I'm sorry, what are the big Japanese bangers left this year for the PS3? I mean there's almost definitely some, but you're not exactly giving a good argument by listing a bunch of HD Collections and a game that is still super-early in development. I can't argue over the One Piece game, but I'm not sure if any One Piece game has ever came out for the 360.

As for those games you listed, Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery are Square Enix owned IP's. As for those Mistwalker IP's, that seems to be a problem with the studio. They have been fairly quiet since their last console game The Last Story (Wii) since 2011; shifting development to Android and ios and only releasing two mobile titles in 2012.

Not sure what they can do about DOA or Nina Gaiden. The latter seemed to fall out of relevancy after the first (definitely after 2), and DOA has shifted to multi-platform development because they have the means and knowledge to. Not sure what Itagaki is up to with Devi's Third.

I doubt the accuracy of that stat, but it doesn't matter because I never said they did. All I said was that MS made a conscious effort to improve relations with Japanese devs, and they did a hell of a lot more than they did with the Xbox.

MS have been building for Xbox One since 2010.

As I said, opening Microsoft Studios Osaka shows a long term commitment to Japan and they will further increase their Japanese market share just as they did with the 360 (which was profitable)

The rumor thread seems to indicate the beginning of this gen will be all out war lmao.

Yeah, the rumors for all three studios sound fucking awesome, but I really doubt the validity of some of them.

The Star Tropics U one, for example, is something I want to happen, but it's coming from an unproven (as far as I can tell) user that is raising the stakes on the validity of them. Sure, it'd be crazy for a 6 year old user to bet their account but is it really completely out of the question? People love to get a rise out of people.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he's right, because Star Tropics U could be amazing, but it's just really hard to believe.

It's Viva Pinata. The fence, the look of the environment, it all comes together pretty clearly to me.

I would be so pumped if Insomniac was making a new Conker or Crackdown 3. Hell, I'm excited even for the unknown (new IP), because they're Insomniac.

I like the Viva Pinata IP as much as the next person, but I wouldn't call it historic. I think it could be the Kinect focused family game though. It could be the demoed game we saw where the player was building fences on an island. KI the historic game and VP the new Kinect family game would be fucking awesome. Too good to be true though,
