Why can't you respect the fact that we don't want this thread littered with unconfirmed rumors?

LOL

like all the posts about game x being exlusive?

anyway.

with the rumoured (due to MS not revealing specs) lower "power" of the Xbox One I would not be surprised if MS has planned shorter life cycles for the hardware. Especially if they want to compete with future Apple TV-boxes rather than the PS4. The Xbox One brand will continue but they might upgrade the hardware every two or three years. If they plan on selling the Xbox One subsidized to most people this might be a viable path. People just get a new subsidized box when they want to renew their subscriptions. Though this will be, again, very US (maybe UK) centric.

I'm excited for the new xbox. Microsoft is too huge of a corporation to come out sputtering (the reveal was sorta a sputter, but it was expected). I still feel that all of these rumors are just that...rumors. Nothing confirmed yet.

Will one console be more powerful than the other? Sure...of course and it looks like the playstation will be the king.

I just don't give two shits about how much power either system has. The only thing i care about are the games that are being produced and how they will run on them.

I want to see a bad ass RPG reveal.

Hahahaha your never too big to fail and you know what they say. The bigger you are the harder you fall.

Yes rumors are rumours I am glad that for once people will stop taking every rumour as fact. The only rumours that you can be sure that they will happen are form cboat.

I am a big Battlefield fan and I've put several hundred hours in the multiplayer. I'm personally really looking forward to Battlefield 4 and playing it with my friends, shooting fools and destroying M-COM stations. In honor of that, here's some fishing in Baku.

It makes sense that weren't not going to see 15 games at one event... that's a ton of games. This doesn't include non-Xbox One exclusives.

Not all 15 at E3?

I never expected to see all of them at E3, it's 18 months worth of games, with third party titles (including exclusives) also being shown.

As for the recent hardware rumors, it's good to know things, but the community's immaturity (the gaming community in general, not just GAF) really shows whenever something like that leaks. I'm not worried in the slightest simply because there's nothing I (or any of us) can do about it at the moment. When everything is unraveled, I'll make my decisions and that's it. Until then, the hype train full steam ahead!

Why would they do that?... There are pictures of already known games in there but I would expect either Sony or Microsoft to start posting snippets of unrevealed games.

Build some hype?

Maybe not even footage (that was unrealistic), but perhaps some logos or something, just something to build some hype before the event.

Hey guys, I'm gonna hang out in a thread too where I have no real interest in the topic, okydoky?

Sorry... early morning and no coffee, grumpy Feef...

That sounds to me like he's saying they'll have more exclusives beyond the 15 to announce at a later date.

I assume he's referring to the internal games that aren't yet ready to be shown, the E3 games will be a mix of first, second and third party titles. Wouldn't be surprised if they threw in a few Live Arcade titles to help pad out the numbers.

Isn't the fact that we have a event in 5 days filled with games not good enough?

Not just Microsoft but Sony too.

I think if you throw together all of the rumors from Insomniac to Mirror's Edge to Titan -- there are about 7-9 games we "know" of.

In name and maybe genre but we really don't know the games themselves.

We might see that many if you include third party games, but no way are they going to show all of the Famous Fifteen and have no surprises for Gamescom and TGS.

While this is true, personally I'd prefer no leaks even controlled ones. They ruin the whole E3 experience IMO
but since this is Microsoft we'll have leaks

Yeah, I guess.

I figured with this being a new generation and all, we might see some epic teasing/hyping going on. That was the case back in 2005, it feels a lot more subdued this time around from all parties.

Not cool.

Yeah, the surprises will be great. I guess I was expecting more fo a 2005 approach to hyping the event. Ah well, no matter.

Oh... I am sorry... Did not knowing only discussing positive information and rumours was a definition of showing interest....

let me continue to show my disinterest then by discussing all aspects of the Xbox One, its tech and the possible business decisions and policies regarding it

I would not be surprised if they kept some games (from the 15) for a separate pre-launch event in October as the beginning of a major marketing campaign.

If you're so disinterested why are you even in this thread?

There's a dedicated thread for it, if you want to discuss rumours from posters who have no more credibility than Pastebin, go do it there

Yes, there is, but just so you aren't perpetually uninformed, the ESRAM problems are absolutely 100% confirmed by a 1st party source.

The mental gymnastics being taken toward a GPU downclock and the accompanied anti-MS circle jerk are what I'm talking about.

Pure unconfirmed FUD from two posters with a track record of being wrong and a "me too" website that promised us PGR5 at the Xbox One reveal.

I agree.

Even Ryse, a game designed as Kinect only, is now controller based. I highly doubt we'll see any attempts to shoehorn an AAA game as Kinect.

While it's definitely possible that games like that will only get some voice control options I wouldn't be surprised if Xbone exclusives get the equivalent of waggle in games like donkey kong country returns shoved in. Especially for Ryse which as you said, used to be a kinect-only game.

I am very interested in all next gen. It is the future of next gen entertainment for the next 5-10 years beginning right now. Read again...
I just playing with words in response to people who think that they only way to show interest to brand X is to live in the pink cloud of positivity, negating everything else.

what if we get controller based games, but also a full Kinect option for those games? and then the gamer can choose which input method they want to use, and can switch at any time.

I think its hilarious that people known for their disinterest in Xbox are creating the negative threads and also going to every Xbox thread just to post about it.

Despite what is going on and what will happen at E3. MS has the US market by the balls, COD, EA and Halo make sure of that.

I really don't see them doing this, you might have party modes like they had in Forza 4 but if anything they will have a mix of Kinect and controller like shown in Splinter Cell.

Extremely unlikely, except for genres where the switch would be easy to implement (for instance, on-rail shooters). Otherwise it would simply require too much work, developers would basically have to build two different games.

Entire mechanics designed around button fidelity might present some problems when doing the same with Kinect?

Ryse has always been touted as a hybrid game.

Perhaps, though my point stands, I feel there's little to suggest Microsoft will be following a policy of shoehorning Kinect into non-family games as it's singular focus.

It seems to me that Kinect is more about functionality and enhancement. At the very least doubt ME2 will be Kinect based, ie, sent to die. Microsoft don't need to sell Kinect anymore.

Sorry, had nothing to do with you, and has nothing to do with negativity. I don't like many things about it either, but I am here for the games. What bugs me personally is openly admitting not having a slight interest in the console or the games, but keep trying to knock those down who are still a bit hyped.

I did not want to offend anyone and I apologize if I did. I also had coffee now, so it's a bit better :)

You may be right but if you're hoping for games like this to be completely Kinect-free you'll probably end up being let down. I think all games will have voice commands at the least and maybe more.

I don't think anyone is trying to say that.

Every game is going to at least have voice or gesture commands.

Any info on possible Midtown Madness game?

A multiplayer MM would be cool. If they made it come with the box (free with DLC) it could become a system seller.

Hence "enhancement". I'm OK with this.

What would you consider to be enhancements then? Would you consider anything more than voice control to be too much or would you be fine with some mandatory kinect controls like waggle on wii.
