Yes I registered in February this year. The last night I found I am able to post messages (I had been trying every week since february)

Destiny of Spirits is for the vita. It's not from FROM. I haven't seen it but it doesn't sound very exciting. Hoping i'm wrong.



Edit: And also Rymdkapsel is probably my GOTY on any platform thus far this year, so May was fine with me.

I had the same problem, the tutorial looked so complicated at first sight, I just decided to do the challengues and to practice a lot versus the AI, learning movements one by one.

Yes! I figured it was a JRPG or Demon's Souls-esque game from SCEJ. BruceLeeRoy also said it's a placeholder title, hmmm.

And Rymdkapsel is great but its change of pace from relaxing to hard as balls scares me sometimes. :(
 
I'm really liking Paint Park Plus. The water color effects are pretty cool. I might spend the few bucks to get the extra tools. Maybe even buy a capacitive stylus for better precision.

I agree it's a big improvement over the last one, but buying things in there is too silly (functions you can buy are too basic) and expensive. For me to go for that, it would need to be able to do a proper zoom, and have bigger canvas sizes.

Looks like a nice horror game for the Vita (and Wii U). At least it might help mitigate the pain of not having a proper SH on my Vita.

I received an email today clearly stating that the Vita will be at E3. *choo choo*

Played some Quell Memento, Coconut Dodge and Rotating Octopus today as well. Fun fun fun. Need something to break up Soul Sacrifice for me.

My account was created on September 24, 2012. It was activated January 19th, 2013 - almost 4 months later. I've read online that some people's accounts have taken 6 months or even longer to activate. So yeah - 6 days to activate is good.

EDIT: Like LorDjidane's activation was over a year. Wow. Guess it's getting better? :)

There was a picture going around that listed Destiny of Spirits as a PS4 title by From Software, but it's probably fake.
The picture wasn't taken on a cheap phone.

I thought you never saw anything before, but how do you know it's for the Vita? :P Rymdkapsel is amazing, I agree.
 
Since a few others are jumping in, I might as well introduce myself as well.

Been lurking since I got my Vita and registered a few months ago. Love the system, as a married gamer it really helps to be able to get some gaming time in.

Be sure to check out Silent Hill Book of Memories then. It's my "mindless" hack'n'slash game of choice.

(I enjoyed Ragnarok Odyssey too but it's in my backlog at the moment. Gotta thaw it out of the freezer and finish it one of these days.)

I know there's less prying eyes in here... I didn't want to post too much in that other thread because it was getting a major amount of attention.


I actually know nothing about DoS other than it's a F2P rpg. I'm hoping that DDQ and this prove me wrong about the F2P model on games outside of stuff like Montezuma... but my initial reaction was bleh. But, again, that's the extent of what I know. It may be the best F2P game ever invented. In three years of iOS and android gaming though I don't think I've played a F2P rpg that I enjoyed...


F2P works fine for puzzle games, shooters, mobas and MMOs. But otherwise... well, we'll see.
 
F2P RPG? What a snooze fest. :(

After the fake Destiny/Bungie and From Software stuff, that will be such a disappointment unless it's really good, haha.

I wouldn't call it mindless, because the bosses take a fair amount of observation to fight against. Though it is very hack and slash,.

The reason why it works so well is because it has all of the bullshit cut out of it, so it just gear up and slay, and reap the rewards. It also helps that it looks very flashy and visually impressive on the Vita and the art style is good.

I've actually never played a Silent Hill game, it took me until RE4 to get into horror type games (unless Doom 3 is counted :S). I'll take a peek at it.

Yeah it's not a total mindless game, but for the most part it's spam triangle and circle. I'm only up to chapter 5 right now so it may very well change. And yeah it looks great. There's something about a petite girl with a giant sword caning the shit out of gangs of enemies that brings me a real joy.

Yeah unfortunately I haven't heard much of anything in terms of exclusives. Though i still have no idea what the Shahid game is. But that dude is so filled with crazy hype that i wouldn't be surprised if he tweeted that 2 minutes after getting the contracts signed and we may be a year+ away from whatever the game is. I love his passion but dropping bombs like that and then not saying anything else is kinda frustrating.



Also, for those who have noticed it... BlueMaxima and I have had some bad blood back and forth which ended up with him getting a short ban - and I said this to him privately but I think he deserves to have it said publically as well... I apologize. I started the whole thing by making 'jokes' that were downright fucking mean to the dude and he got upset with me about it... which is 1000000% understandable. I have a fucked up sense of humor and that's not really something I want to change... but I don't want being mean to specific people to be a part of what I am about - humor or otherwise. I like the guy, I think his videos are great - I think he is a key part of this little vita community and gets news out like basically no other. So I gave him my apology in private but I wanted to repeat it here as well. That's not how i want to act and I'm sorry.

Now back to hoping F2P RPGs don't suck... because it looks like we have a dumptruck filled with them coming.
 
Hoping for some western games at E3. I have no interest in most Japanese games, and I'm sure Destiny of Spirits is a JRPG rather than a WRPG.

Do they really work on the Vita? I mean, the whole reason I want a Vita is to play games where I don't have internet.

I play more than a few F2P RPGs, but if I am going to be in range of my router, might as well play them on my PC.
