NHL Off-Season 2013 |OT| Celebrate Good Times Come On

My top six D would be

Keith-Doughty
Hamhuis-Weber
Bouwmeester-Pietrangelo
Subban
Seabrook

Everyone plays their proper side and all the pairings have some form of chemistry with each other.

Subban can draw in as a PP specialist and Seabrook can draw in as a shutdown specialist.

Splitting up Keith and Seabrook? lolno

Sweden's 35 team camp roster.

Goaltenders: Jhonas Enroth, Viktor Fasth, Robin Lehner, Henrik Lundqvist.

Defence: Jonas Brodin, Alexander Edler, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Jonathan Ericsson, Nicklas Grossmann, Erik Gustafsson, Victor Hedman, Niklas Hjalmarsson, Erik Karlsson, Niklas Kronwall, Douglas Murray, Johnny Oduya, Henrik Tallinder.

Forwards: Patrik Berglund, Nicklas Backstrom, Jimmie Ericsson, Loui Eriksson, Johan Franzen, Carl Hagelin, Patric Hornqvist, Marcus Johansson, Marcus Kruger, Gabriel Landeskog, Oscar Lindberg, Joel Lundqvist, Gustav Nyquist, Niklas Persson, Daniel Sedin, Henrik Sedin, Alexander Steen, Henrik Zetterberg.

It's obvious that John Gibson will be USAs starting goalie. Everyone can see it.

Fasth getting an invite to Sweden is *awesome*.

And how is Getzlaf not a lock? Did nobody see him last season?

Happy to see Gally get an invite, I don't expect him to make it but it'll be a good experience for 2018 and it wouldn't surprise me if he made it as the 13th forward. Yzerman said they won't necessarily run an equal number of lefties and righties at D, I'd be surprised if Subban doesn't make the top 6. At this point Crawford is the starter, but if Price bounces back this season I'd expect him to take it, he's excelled in this situation before.

Holy shit, I was at that game too. I could have thrown popcorn at you or tried to get security to kick you out or something.
Did you go with all your alts?

NOW THIS KID, NAZEM KADRI, HE'S NO KOVALCHUK. HE'S A GOOD ONTARIO BOY AND HE'LL, HE'LL TAKE A CONTRACT AMOUNT THAT WILL HELP THE TEAM WIN. GOOD OLE' CANADIAN KID, NAZEM KADRI.
You have to throw in some truculence, heart, and grit in there somewhere.

He is better then half the americans invited.
I see you have taken it on yourself to become the Wild-Gaf's Tabris. God speed soldier.

Is he not a better player then gally, abdelkader, bennet, saad, bjugstad, oshie, plameri, lewis, and smith???

I got that. Since there's 24 forwards and he's better than half of them, that means there's 12 that are better than him.

Maybe, im just saying im surprised he wasnt invited. I feel his game is good on big ice and can play pk and pp. i realize the talent level of team usa but i feel he would be a good fit. Its whatever tho.

Looks like they've probably got 12-14 forwards that have a realistic shot (Pominville didn't make the cut) and they used the rest of the slots for young, versatile, speedy wildcards. Makes sense.

Pretty excited to see Patches play with a legit #1 C for once.

I didn't realize that's half the team. Everything Pominville does well, other players on the team do much better.

Johnny Oduya at the Jays game.

Oh, wow, Gunnarsson. I don't see how Fraser, Kadri and Franson are all retained with just 6.5m left to spread around.
Kadri will probably get a short-term bridge deal under $3m and Franson won't make much more than Gunnarsson.

Plus, Liles could be traded to free up some room. He isn't much worse than Gonchar or Streit.

Hopefully Claude is in charge of the PP unit for Team Canada.
