Today, IGN can confirm that Guacamelee! is coming to Steam. It will be available on Thursday, August 8th, and will cost $14.99 (£11.99 and €13.99 for our European readers). Oh, and it will come packing a bunch of goodies, too.

In addition to the main game, Guacamelee! Gold Edition comes with two DLC packs – the Costume Pack and The Devil’s Playground – as well as full Steam functionality, including Steam Trading Cards, Achievements, leaderboards, cloud saving, and more

Steam says it'll be titled Guacamelee! Gold, and there will be a bundle with Mutant Blobs Attack. Good bundle

Also, not sure if Drinkbox is serious about Vine.

What? really? Best gaming news of the day (if it's as good as they say s a Metroidvania).
I was under the assumption it was a Sony exclusive..?

I think I would probably buy this again; it's that good.

Drinkbox used Sony's Pub Fund to help develop the game, so they themselves own the game, but there had to be a period of exclusivity on Sony systems in return. Generally speaking, it's been about six months for other games that have used Pub Fund to aid development, so I'm guessing that a PC announcement won't be for an immediate release.

First Vine video, it almost seems like they truly didn't know

Oops, they are probably scrambling right now.

Tuco! You need to hang out in the Steam thread more often, we have been checking out that registry app for months!

It is an Indie Pub game, which generally has a 6 months exclusivity window.

I'm hoping it gets a hefty discount on PSN at some point. I'd rather not have to buy it on Steam and Vita when I can just get the cross-buy version.

The game has local co-op. Makes no sense not to have online, too.

In terms of game development, going from local to online is significantly harder.

It doesn't just work like how you are describing. I've heard it described that you essentially need to account for multiplayer development from the ground up.

Vine thing was definitely a joke. Absolutely hilarious. Such a great developer. Anyone who hasn't played this game yet should. Incredibly fun!

I will ask shahid if it is still best on the vita, before i make my purchase decision.
