Worked amazing for Castle,
Bones on the other hand got boring imo.

The Beckett/Castle relationship is fantastic. Loved how they handled it. My favourite couple on TV.

So I finally caught up to the season's final few episodes... Some quick thoughts.

-Felicity continues to be the best, most charming, most lovable character on this show.

-TOOOOMMYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! D:

-The action stuff was really well done throughout.

-Moira's "fuck you" to Merlyn was so fucking satisfying

-Thea, the Glades are about to fucking explode. STOP. WITH. THE. DRAMA. If you're going to leave, then leave, if Roy needs to stay, don't make a big fucking speech, delaying him and potentially resulting in the deaths of all the people he's trying to go save, himself included.

-Merlyn's OTHER device was a great twist. That didn't end how I expected it to.

-Fucking Laurel...

It's a super fucking cheesy show at times, but its not without its great moments. I'm not in love with it, but I certainly like it enough. Excited for Season 2.

Welcome... to Arrow-GAF, brother.

Matt Barr for The Flash please. Accept no substitutes.

He's my choice too, if only because his face is weird, and I want the Flash to look at least interesting.

You just couldn't resist the abs, right?

Such a dumb self-perpetuating myth. Castle disproved that shit in prime-time network territory.

Yeah.

But.

Ollie and Laurel have like... no chemistry. Also, their lives are fraught with death and guilt. Cheating on Laurel with Sarah who then died? Fucking Laurel in the window while Tommy (madly in love with her, the true hero out of all these nutjobs) just watched on? Leading a double life and completely lying to the girl you supposedly are madly in love with (why? She has very little redeeming qualities).

No, this is the most toxic relationship on the planet. And you people want to pursue this?

I need happy thoughts.

It took 4 damned seasons to get there. A couple of seasons in, a lot of these shows push this angst to the front (even to the extent of pushing the original premise into the background). Shows that have been guilty of this include Eureka, Psych, Chuck, Castle, Friends, Bones. Look how much Castle and Psych improved/got back on track after that stuff.

I thought it was handled great on Castle, though in do think they couldn't have gone much longer. I didn't like how it was handled on Bones. By the time they got together, I didn't care.

I think what Castle really did well was that even when they weren't together, there was a legitimately fun, flirtatious relationship between the two of them. There was some angst, they had some up and downs, but the negative stuff rarely was overwhelming, and even when it was... it wasn't inherently awful, because you could still see that these two had an actual future.

And when they did get together, it was genuinely fun! They made a joke of jealousy and side-stepped a lot of potential soap opera crap and actually continued with an actual relationship.

There is nothing "fun" about Oliver and Laurel.

Manu Bennett Reminisces About The End Of Spartacus, Talks Slade Wilson’s Arrow Season 2

Access: On the final day of filming the cast and crew paid tribute by doing a tribal Haka for you?

Manu: Yeah, I was fortunate that they did use my death scene as my final scene on the show and the one thing about that particular scene is I had no [acting] choice for it. It was the one scene during four years of filming the show where I just really didn’t know how I was gonna play the scene. … It was a really difficult one, but then, when I asked Cynthia [Addai-Robinson, who played Naevia], what she thought about the scene, she told me she was basing it on the death of her father. … So when she told me that, I was very aware of how emotional she would be in that scene, so I kind of just looked at her in support and … that ended up being the right choice, because Crixus, in his death… he knew what was coming and he knew potentially what would happen to Naevia, [and] following that, she would need all the strength she could get, so I spent the whole time just sort of looking at her and feeling for her, rather than anything about myself. … We do this in acting, but until you totally give yourself up to another actor, you don’t really realize the strength of it.

At the end of my scene I went over because she was crying, because she put herself through that emotional scene with her father, and so I went over and sort of put my head against her forehead … [It was] just a very truthful moment, but then suddenly I heard the roar of Antonio Te Maioho, who played Barca, and he had basically gotten together with all of the crew and the stunt guys and even the extras and organized this giant Haka for me, which was a real proud moment for me because that’s the Maori war dance and I’ve performed it many a time. I performed it for Andy Whitfield’s funeral and what not. … We used it to send off other people who’d been on the show. When somebody died who was of significance, we’d send them off with a Haka, or some of the good directors that came along, and I suddenly found it was my turn after four years.

Badass and awesome. Also, a single tear rolled down my cheek thinking about Andy and Manu's farewell haka.

We better see
Deathstroke
in Starling City this season! >:(

He will come and kill Laurel. Three birds with one stone -
-Establishes him as THE villain
-Gets rid of Laurel
-Because it gets rid of Laurel it also makes him the most beloved character on the show

Also...dear God, what has happened to the world while I was banned

Arrow casts a woman that's not gorgeous?!!!!! Is this the first sign of the end times?!

It's Starling City, of course we got the beautiful Amanda Waller:

Oh..apocalypse canceled. Got me worried for a while thre Arrow team!

Nah, man. It's just a smokescreen.

Somebody call me when they cast someone overweight or meh looking in a critical role.

Laurel seems to be slowly getting there. Maybe that's the plan for her death. Malcom's ghost will appear and say "I didn't die so that fatsies can walk on Starling City's streets!" and finish her off.

oh fuck

/dead

Katie Cassidy is still smoking hot, but it's not enough for me to like Laurel ever.

From Amell's facebook:

Do you know that we're a quarter of the way done shooting Season 2 of Arrow? Well, we are. Some thoughts:

1. DC Characters. Everywhere.
2. Bigger action. Fights also had to get meaner.
3. My new bow = Scary.
4. Is it possible that a TON is happening while simultaneously setting the table for massive reveals & expectation shattering revelations?... Yes it is.
5. Bromance.

Hope that is sufficiently vague and decidedly interesting.

My brain says nay.
My pee-pee says yay.

It troubles me.

Oh Funky.

Is she even legal?

She's also about a thousand times the actor Roy's actor and Amell are.

I'm sorry, but what show have you been watching? Definitely not Arrow, because otherwise you would know what here the acting ability is determined solely by how close you get to this:

Can she do it? Yeah...I didn;t think so!!!!

I know that this was going to happen but I wish they followed through when they said they didn't want superpowers showing up.

Yeah, I'm still not a fan of it. I'm taking a wait and see approach. I really hope they don't overpower the Flash so much to just break the universe. I mean, speed of light-Flash? God, I hope not.

Plus, they're gonna have to ramp up villains to compete. I mean, if the supervillains stay confined to 'The Flash' and ground-level villains stay confined to 'Arrow', maybe it'll be okay... maybe.

Sigh.
