June made the highlight reel all game long that day, thats for sure. After seeing Gray play last week, I'd say MJD and Taylor are each going to get about 50 carries a piece.Tamanon said:I had forgotten that the Bucs picked up Cato June, I think that means GOOD things for the Jacksonville running game considering how much he slipped off MJD last season.

It seems the blitz pickup is not as much of a problem as bad blocking at times because it doesn't seem to matter who is calling out the protections. The sad thing is that Ben could have been sacked at least 10 more times if he did not have the holy powers of the Messiah. Might Big Ben be the hardest player to sack in the game (considering that he can usually avoid one or two totally unblocked rushers a few times a game)?
Vince looks to run more than Ben too. It is easier to avoid the sack when you are always looking to run.Tamanon said:Eh I'd say Vince Young is the hardest to sack, of course he makes up for it by being the second worst passer in my eyes.
If you get sacked 15 times, you aren't good at avoiding sacks. Or rather you might be good at avoiding sacks but have no idea when you have to get rid of the football. Which I think is much more important. I'd definitely go with Young first of all he is elusive, second he can take a hit and still go on. He's complete garbage as a qb though.bionic77 said:It seems the blitz pickup is not as much of a problem as bad blocking at times because it doesn't seem to matter who is calling out the protections. Peyton is one of the least sacked quarterbacks ever, but if the line doesn't block no one can avoid all of the sacks. Remember how Peyton got sacked like 6 times against the Steelers in the playoffs? He didn't just become shitty at avoiding sacks, his protection just couldn't handle the pressure that day.Flizzzipper said:If you get sacked 15 times, you aren't good at avoiding sacks. FITZGERALD FACES PATERNITY SUIT
Taking a page from teammate Matt Leinart's off-field playbook, Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald is facing a paternity suit from a former Raiders cheerleader.
The mother is Angela Nazario, and she alleges that the child is due in early January. She wants child support from Fitzgerald, and he says that he's willing to provide it if a DNA test shows that he's the father.
Court documents obtained by TMZ.com reveal a partial Mrs. Robinson situation, with Fitzgerald at 24 years old and Nazario at 37.

THey're having a damn good season so far but because of Brady and the Patriots' grudge against happiness nobody is even giving the Steelers they're props when they're easily the third best team in the league at this point.
Not just Tomlin and Arians but LeBeau too seeing how the defense fell apart at times. Everything else you said is dead on, especially the part about peaking at the end. So much more important to be playing great football in January than October.Spectral Glider said:I'd rather it that way. Steelers have always played better under the radar. Not sure that has changed much under Tomlin. Plus, I'd rather the team peak at the end of the year than the beginning. Hopefully, Tomlin and Arians get better at gameplanning as the year goes on as well. They were outcoached in their two losses so far.

Still the formula for the Steelers is still the same as when we won the Superbowl. Get a lead early with the passing game. Then grind it out with the running game and defense.
Robinson the Wise on matters of Chad Pennington said:While the Jets still haven't made the switch to Kellen Clemens, it's clear that Pennington's starting days in New York are running out. Pennington's numbers haven't been atrocious, but he hasn't engineered wins this season, either. He'll be 32 when next season starts, and considering his past health issues, he's likely nearing a point when his arm strength will diminish significantly.

because i'm a shit talker, but before either team was 2-4, every other person had their bets on the niners going to the playoffs, i didn't see it then, and i damn sure don't see it now. Especially with drew brees and his 69 QB rating

Look, in all seriousness, I don't know if we'll win this game on Sunday, but come on man... You guys are 2-4, so are we: but we didn't have our starting quarterback in 3 straight games. Why you keep hating?

They've actually gotten better across the board while the Saints have a habit of cutting their bust players and drafting girl scouts instead of guys who can play defense. Mike McKenzie wouldn't even make nickelback on most teams in the NFC anymore and that linebacking core couldn't even stop the most pitiful of 40 & up flag football teams. I look forward to seeing Reggie cry when he gets shown up by a real runningback from a real college - DA MUTHA*****N U!

Huh....the only player I could think of on the Saints that fits this description is Troy Evans.
He wants some booty tonight!
Oh yeah and NFL Field Pass is free this weekend.

whytemyke said:Damn. This is the first week that I'm actually ROOTING for the Lions. Most times I just dispassionately watch what happens because I'm sick of them always breaking my heart. But I'm so sick of arrogant fucking Bears fans that I hope the Lions beat them again today. God.... Bears fans have ZERO reason to be arrogant about ANYTHING. Sorry but if your team can't figure out that, hmmm, the RB and QB positions are KIND OF IMPORTANT and shouldn't be ignored all off season (at the same time you're ignoring one of your most important defensive players) then you don't get to say you're a good football organization.
The biggest crime in Chicago isn't Mayor Daly and all his shit, it's not that cop putting a hit out on another cop... it's the fact that Chicago fans continually stand by sports teams where the ownership clearly doesn't give a shit about the fans. And I almost felt bad for Chicago fans until I opened up the Red Eye today and saw all these ass clowns ripping on the Lions.
Now I hope the Lions smite the Bears with the fury of God himself. I hope Brian Urlacher tears his ACL walking off the field at the end of the game, too, just to add insult to injury. I mean, they won't... they'll probably lose in the most embarassing way possible, but a fella can hope, right?
