The only Mega Evolution I'm a little iffy on is Pinsir. I love all of the others. And it's not that I "dislike" Pinsir -- I certainly appreciate the concept. I just need to get a better look at its backside. I'm still not clear what the orange spikes are between its back and its shell. Hydraulic lifts holding his shell out while his wings extend?

What about Mega Venasaur though... I wanted some over the top thing, maybe multiple plants growing on its back... not just Venasaur with a flower on its head.
Except mega pinsir will get crushed by a pebble before it can do anything.
Looks like the Base Exchange, a military Walmart essentially. Won't effect most people but if I were still living on base I'd be pisssseeeddd.

Regarding Mega Heracross:
I've never been a Heracross fan, but Mega Heracross is seriously awesome.
A few observations about why his design is GREAT:
- His main horn resembles a medieval jousting lance, and his head resembles a knight (the chainmail head-warp)!
- The color scheme is eye-catching -- cobalt blue, with ruby-red accents and gold eyes!
- He has the dual horn of certain beetles -- the second horn forming a cute lil' snout!
- The red lines guide the eye and add definition to his segmented exoskeleton!
- His gauntlets resemble the backs of beetles! (See the lines on them)
- Just a solid, compact, all-around symmetrical design with breathing room for detail!
The great thing about Mega Evolution is people who love the original Heracross don't have to give him up; he continues to be a part of the party and simply morphs into his Mega form as a temporary transformation. Think of it like Goku going Super Saiyan in Dragon Ball Z. This applies to all Mega Evolutions, which is why they're so great -- you don't lose the beloved original, but you can utilize their transformation to be viable in battle!

More I look at Mega Manectric, the more I love him. He just looks incredibly strong and feral with that rugged lighting bolt mane. Regular Manectric always looked a bit off, but his Mega form streamlines his design and brings it together nicely.
Shifting gears -- some Mega Banette appreciation:
What a beauty! Didn't expect this color scheme, but it's striking! I like that the possessed puppet bit is drab and dark, while the ghostly spirit is a vibrant purple. The numerous zippers resembles stitches on a doll and add a nice contrast. Also note how the hands resemble Banette's mouth, the zippers opening to expose fang-like fingers! And also note how the "spikes" on the hips are in fact the puppet legs of the original Banette, now split so the real legs can pop out. What a fantastic design. I always loved Banette and Dusclops, so it's great they both have "third forms" now.
