This legit?

'Cause my main Chesnaught complaint is colors and this is awesome.

GOLDEN NOSE?!

Granted, I haven't checked the Kalos Dexes yet.
There are a LOT of non-Kalos pokemon in that list.
Would love to see confirmation, though.

That would explain how Whimsicott's retyping and other non-Kalos confirmations (possibly Togepi as well) have been verified despite not being otherwise catchable in the wild.

Still betting non-Kanto / non-Kalos starters won't appear here.
Ditto for events and legendaries.

Everything else... MIGHT?!?

So Flareon hasn't been that competitively viable. Which Eeveelution has historically been the most useful?

Jolteon / Espeon / Vaporeon

Jolteon for damage
Espeon for support
Vaporeon for tanking

Seems like Sylveon too since it's a tankier Vaporeon

Jolteon or maybe Vaporeon. Haven't followed the last iterations of the metagame much.

I hope gen4 starters can show up in the friend safari. Torterra is my favorite grass starter.

Oh, Heracross. ;_;

You look like someone's insulting you, but you've got a mouth full of bubblegum and are just fuming over not being able to make a comeback.

I love goofy-looking and cute pokemon more than the "baddass" ones, too, but I just can't this time. Unless a better viewing angle rectifys this, I'm keeping my favorite pokemon as he is.

Pinsir mostly stayed the same, but Heracross turned into an entirely different species.

Shit, completely forgot about Gengar.

Mega Evolution Ranking
  1. Charizard Y - Initially had my criticisms but I love the increased wingspan and head horn.
  2. Charizard X - Might be number 2 on the list but I like him just as much as Y. Awesome.
  3. Tyranitar - Majestic as fuck.
  4. Gengar - Cheeky bastard now looks as powerful as he is.
  5. Blaziken - The epicness is strong with this one.
  6. Banette - Vastly superior design to original, and clever to boot.
  7. Aggron - Badass mofo.
  8. Houndoom - Improvement on original design. Doesn't stray too far though.
  9. Absol - Improvement on original design.
  10. Mawile - Improvement on original design.
  11. Lucario - Looks okay. Not a big fan of Lucario but he looks better now..
  12. Manectric - Looks okay. Wish it strayed a little further from original design though.
  13. Aerodactyl - Only thing I don't like is the rock beard.
  14. Ampharos - Fabulous? Okay. It's just Ampharos with hair. :/
  15. Kangaskhan - Both funny and clever.
  16. Abomasnow - Improvement, but still pretty average looking.
  17. Gardevoir - Inferior design to original.
  18. Vensaur - The same, but bigger!
  19. Blastoise - Top heavy, derpy face.
  20. Pinsir - Something about his design looks...awkward.
  21. Garchomp - Over-the-top fierceness.
  22. Gyarados - Mega Shrimp!
  23. Medicham - More flesh ribbons!
  24. Alakazam - Old geezer!
  25. Heracross - Vastly inferior, just looks stupid.
  26. Mewtwo Y - Abomination.
  27. Mewtwo X - Abomination.

Holy fucking shit

Barbaracle learns SHELL SMASH

A mon whose base stats are already freakin' dangerous.

It's used in the UU tier in singles.

It's not used in doubles (though hardly any pure defensive Pokemon are used in doubles)

Interesting. Is it mostly for support/traps?

Jolt = Esp = Umb > Flare = Vap > Leaf > Glace > Sylveon in looks.
Jolt = Esp > Vap > ehhh... In terms of usefulness (as I've used them anyways).

Are some of these Mega's a surprise? I don't remember them being on the alleged list.
Alakazam was a surprise.

Quick question for those of you in the know. We know the mega evolution stones for Tyranitar and Aggron are in the opposite game that those pokemon appear in?

Is that also the case for Heracross, Manectric, Houndoom and Pinsir?
Or are we just assuming that's the case because Joe discovered them? Because I don't recall him having to trade for the other stones.

It is the case for those as well I believe.

You guys are seriously in for a treat when you reach Laverre City, it has the most creative city and gym style out of the entire Pokemon series and the music is fantastic.

The trademark list -- and they ARE real trademark renewals -- had all of the Mega Pokémon revealed so far except Venusaur, Alakazam and Manectric. The others on the trademark list that haven't had Megas shown yet are Jynx, Scizor, Latios and Latias. Of those, I fully expect we'll see Scizor and Jynx in the coming days. As for Latios and Latias, I could easily see them being a promo event.

We still need in-game shots of Mega Tyranitar and Mega Aggron. They look amazing in Coro Coro but I want to see them in battle. As for those just tuning in, here are the most recent Mega Evolutions, my favorites being Heracross, Banette and Manectric:
