Just wanted to support the notion that is definitely not a troll. I've been like this before, when I was 13-14. It's when you're obsessed with a girl, and simultaneously try to not be a creep while maintaining that obsession.

This leads you to have some false sense of fairness and humility when you talk to the girl, while you're just letting your infatuation leak to her. Any person would feel awkward and try to cut this out immediately. In my case, and the OP's case, the girl is not aware of how creepy this shit is. I ended up getting with the girl I'm talking about, and went out for 4 years. We've broken up now, but till this day I feel she doesn't realize how to fend off creeps that try to fuck her.
