Man, I've been on a roll getting Pokemon with multiple perfect stats from the Friend Safari. Probably just luck, but this hopefully makes breeding a little easier for me in the event that I never find someone with a Ditto safari.

Help needed please.

My wife is playing this and she likes it but is getting frustrated because she doesn't quite know how a lot of it works. One of the main issues she's having is she doesn't know how to access the other pokemon after the 6 in your main party. Apparently they keep getting added to the 'box' but she can't find how to access it.

Any good beginner guides for someone new to the series.

The best 'guide' for things like that is to talk to every single NPC in every houses you come across, they usually cover all the basic things you have to know about the games mechanics.

Does anyone have a male Dratini/Dragonair with 4 IVs (at least 31 Atk) they could part with? I'm looking for one to breed with my Gible to get one with Outrage and perfect IVs, so its ability doesn't matter.

I can offer an 4 IV Eevee with Anticipation, or Adamant Technician Scythers and Protean Froakies with random IVs (as I didn't label them).

I have two nieces that share a 3DS and want Pokemon.

1. Is it correct that Pokemon X/Y limits the user to one save?

2. If I purchase both X and Y, would they each be able to have their own save?

Getting specific hidden powers are probably the worst. You need some stats to have certain values which is just.. eugh. For hidden power Ice I need the following:

This means that the highest IVs you can have for Hidden Power ICE with a 31 Speed IV are either 31/30/30/31/31/31 or 30/31/30/31/31/31.

This is never gonna happen, especially since it's so easy to get 31 in 5 stats

I've been hatching some synchronized Ralts in order to make use of their natures. Managed to get Adamant, Jolly and Timid pretty fast but Modest eluded me. Gonna have to go back to it later.

1.yes

2.yes

I was just about to edit it my post there. :P

I have the TM, it just is "unable" to all the pokemons in my team, but I just realized its a normal type attack, and I have none normal pokemon in my team, so thats maybe the reason, right?

Probably slowpoking hard, but the pokemon needs to have a sharp appendage of sorts to be able to learn it.

Both the Honedge line and the Nincada line learn it.

I managed to luck into the perfect situation: I got a Protean Froakie with four perfect IVs from a Japanese fellow through Wonder Trade and bred it with a Ditto until I got a female counterpart. They're both Protean and Hasty, so the babies come out with those 100% of the time (or pretty close to it), and these suckers breed at the speed of light. They 'get along very well!' according to Mr Daycare, and I have the Oval Charm from completing the Kalos 'Dex so I get an egg almost every time I ride past the daycare. And I have Lv 3 Hatching O-Power (which must be getting close to Lv 4), so they practically leap out of those eggs :P

I figured I'd just get my perfect Froak in record time, but then I realised I was Masuda Method-ing it so now I'll stick with it until a shiny pops out. Black Greninja gon' be mine.

The max level of an O-Power is 3.

Don't O-Powers only go to level 3?

GAF, I need your help. I bred a decent Rotom with HP Ice (which I want!), but with the following stats:

Rotom - #479 (Modest)
None (X)
HP: 10 - 11
Att: 10 - 13
Def: 30
SpA: 31
SpD: 31
Speed: 31

HP is my only concern, but the other stats are perfect. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get a better one with HP Ice. Actually, I think I'll keep it :P Shame about the HP

Well I only have one extra perfect Larvesta and wanted to help the guy out due to the unfortunate incident.

Only thing it did to me is take out my already weakened Greninja out. The second battle it did nothing.

No.

gone through about 6 more egg batches since then and no larvesta even close.

your kindness would be MUCH appreciated

They're a little uncommon, but not really rare... which is a nice change.

Not really, no. They are not common, but you're bound to find more than one in less than 15 minutes.

I honestly found Eevees relatively common. I think it's just because it's easy to blaze through Route 10 that people can't find one.

Ah well. Think I'll still keep her.

Where can I find Thunderstones?

I won't be able to trade till maybe 5 hours later, so I can't trade till then. Hope you don't mind.

Also to be sure, this is what you want right?

Larvesta
Flame Body
Modest
31/x/31/31/31/31

that's PERFECT! i'll be at the pokemon TCG prerelease till later this evening anyway.

THANKS A MILLION!!

I have been so caught up in designing a real competitive team lately, I'm getting actively frustrated over it. :lol

I just don't know what I want to build for. Also doesn't help that there's also all the EV training to do that gets paused indefinitely when something goes amiss. Anyone with experience want to chime in on how to build a good offense team with Blaziken and Greninja as the two focuses?

Can anyone repost that map that lists out where every pokemon is and what method you use to get them?

It was posted a few pages back but I can't find it.

I wish there was a way to upgrade the stone emporium. Like, you give them a stone, pay them instead of them paying you, and now they carry XX stone.
It is nice to have the super training method at least. It seems they've made it to where you no longer are locked to a limited amount of evolution items, which is very nice.

Does anyone have any leftover Goomys with decent IVs? I can trade 4 IV Mawile, Tyrunt or Protean Froakies (and probably some Serene Grace Togepi)

I'm so torn on whether I want Goodra or Dragonite in my team. I'll probably end up training up a Goodra as well and rotate between them :/

Being curious, I decided to look at the amount of each type added in this generation (not including megas, alt forms and event pokes)

Normal - 8
Fighting - 4
Flying - 8
Poison - 2
Ground - 2
Rock - 7
Bug - 3
Ghost - 7
Steel - 4
Fire - 7
Water - 8
Grass - 9
Electric - 3
Psychic - 5
Ice - 4
Dragon - 9
Dark - 5
Fairy - 34 (12 new and 22 retconned)

I honestly thought that there were more new Fairy types than retconned at first. I don't really mind the lower amount of Pokemon but the distribution of the types could have been better. I mean the only 2 Poison types were the Skrelp line for example. Well I guess that a few types had to suffer. I also find it funny that if the types of the event legendaries are true, I think there will be more Fairy Pokemon than Ice and Ghost Pokemon overall.

On another note, how do you level up your O-Powers again?

Nice.

Beat the E4 today. Probably the easiest time I've ever had with an E4, usually the level difference is bigger (kinda weird since I expected them to balance it for the new EXP.Share somewhat).
First try after beating the other 3, Clawitzer wrecked my whole team instantly. So second try I Calm Mind'd immediately, rest was a breeze
I finished the Champion fight with 1 Pokemon at 16 HP but don't tell anyone

The game starts now! I have to explore everywhere with HMs and Dowsing, and complete the Kalos Pokedex (rest will be through Bank). And that's not even bringing in breeding and the battle facilities.

Anyway LISTS

Top 10 best things
10. Everything about Hex Maniacs
9. Espurr's status attack animation
8. Boutique Shop music
7. Battle Girl sprite
6. Anistar City music
5. Affectionate Pokemon looking back at you in battle
4. Mid-stride dash rollerblades trick
3. Snowbelle City music
2. Female Ace Trainer sprite
1.
Kneeling down when talking to kids/Pokemon

Changes I would have made to the type chart
- Poison is immune to poison (and fairy is NVE on it)
- Poison is NVE on steel, no immunity
- Bug is SE on poison
- flying is SE on fire, but immediately raises ATK or SP.ATK of the enemy (depending on physical or special attack) <- no real balance reason, it's just a cool idea

So I just met someone online who tried a Brightpowder+Veilchomp combo.

I lost the 1st time due to Dazzlegleam and IceBeam missing twice, then I swapped in my Togekiss for Megatoise for the Aura Sphere.

I think he won't be running trick room for a while.
