I don't know of any hard numbers but it seems like here manga sales in the first half of 2013 grew by double digits. I guess the numerous and crappy shoujo and shouen ai titles are selling very well, new and interesting license acquirements on the other hand are few and far between.

Well that was a nice chapter to hurry and carry us forward to the next arc, good Takumi panel or so, as well as the cooking scene with the dude in the black shirt. Looking forward to secret weapons.

I think I read FMA more because I own the entire series whereas with Eyeshield, I only own the first eight and end up reading the rest online.
It was the first Adachi manga I read all the way through so I learned about his bad endings, but overall the ride was amazing.

Adachi's endings are great (well except for Q&A). He resolves the important conflict and doesn't waste time with stuff that seems important but is actually secondary (who won the Koshien, set the world record, etc).

That training montage would have gone great with "Eye of the Tiger" in the background. I hope the anime puts in a cheesy training montage song whenever that occurs.
I'm calling this too: Curry Guy is going to talk about his love of spices all goddamn day and make a superior curry. Soma will admit he can't catch up to Curry Guy's mastery of curry itself, but will point out that the theme was "Curry Dish," not just curry, and the rest of his dish will push it ahead of Curry Guy's. Curry Guy will be hit by Defeat Means Friendship.

No, that wasn't quite what he meant; he said he can't "worry about" losing. He was trying to explain why he doesn't get nervous about his shortcomings the way that Tadokoro does.
But I think that is the gist - the Curry Guy does in fact have a special talent for curry that Soma can't just get past, but I think the point here is going to be that simply having better curry doesn't mean anything in the scope of the entire dish because its perfectly plausible he's a shittier cook than Soma is in every other respect.
I loved Miyuki, ending included QQ
Probably up there as one my most liked with Jinbe and Cross Game.

Obligatory Death Note reference and even in magazine advertising...nice. The visual imagery for the airborne pathogen (oddly I work on airborn pathogens, I guess) was the most striking thing though kind of a bit too much.
Ultimately, lived up to my expectations for the spoilers, Karasuma-sensei is epic.

This is like a dream prompt come true if only. Mainly the idea of Sakura going to playing his sisters otome game and getting hooked on wanting change and then practicing it at the cafe to win affection and such. Then using those lines mistakenly on a guy and then getting him hooked too and so on. Looking forward to more and if he can keep it up. Such a perfect waiter. The art is amazing.

Watched about 60 episodes of the anime, dropped it when the manga got announced here.
It'll basically be a "re-read" for a while, but damn, it's just too good. Even though I know what happens it's such a pleasure to read, and it's definitely my favorite seinen ever.
