I picked Toki Tori 2 back up after a few month hiatus. This game is absolutely brilliant in pretty much every aspect. I feel bad for those who haven't played it, due to its art-style or whatever.

This is pretty much the best download title I've ever played. And yeah, I played Journey.

I've been saying that since I played this game. Toki Tori 2+ has such a clever and EXCELLENT design that in my opinion it's not only a GREAT game, but also one of the GREATEST GAMES EVER MADE.
In terms of level design, I'll say without any doubt that this is THE BEST GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED and I've played a ton of great games.
It takes the metroid overworld formula and evolves it to the next level, and once you get the 100% of the game you will be even more impressed than now.

This one is way more cheaper in the US than PAL, but it is game-based, because I know that Tekken is at 29.99€ on PAL eshop while it's still full price in the US (I think)

Zombi U should also be cheaper, according to the Nintendo website.
Don't know the price though, hopefully it is also 15 euro's.

Is AC3 worth the 15 bucks, if you only played and not even finished 1 and didn't even played the rest?

me too I've read about Zombi, but didn't find it in the PR I've copied :\
About AC3: story-wise it became such a mess that, to me, the recap they do at the beginning is enough to understand the game. Port-wise is a normal port (not good as others, not bad as others), offtv and always-on map are good for this genre, the game is horribly paced (is has something like 3 introduction segments, 6 hours long total, before starting for real---can't say more to not spoil it) but introduced the wonderful naval sections and has a good second part imho.

Actually, I think that's the best circumstance to play it in. I didn't play the previous ones and I enjoyed it, but a lot of people who played all of the series up until then didn't like it as much. But I think anyone would agree it's worth $15, it's a really involved game with a mountain of content and cool things to see and do: ship battles, army vs. army musket battles that you control, colonial era New York, etc.

The idea and setting of AC3 was really interesting to me so I'll might just get it. 15 Euro's is almost nothing and with Off TV play it is only better.
 
Added Zombi U to that list, even if the main purpose in this thread was to promote Fit U (available only on the eshop for the moment) and the Trine 2/Runner 2 sales :p

AC3 is worht those 15 € imho

Good news for all owners of Wii U. It finally happened, about a week ago we (Snow Arc) became an official Nintendo developer, this means that now we can develop and self-publish games for Nintendo consoles. So, Yes! Frozen State is going to be on Wii U;)

I don't have exact figures but I think e-shop games actually sell reasonably well? That might be a bit of hearsay though I'm sure Trine 2 and Nano Assault sold well. However, I think the fact that it seems like Nintendo have made super easy to get games on the system is the biggest draw. Indies like having their games on lots of systems.

And Trine 2 (I think?) and Giana Sisters sold best on Wii U out of the console releases for contrast!

I believe Toki Tori 2 was hurt by its presentation more than anything else. I personally think it looks great but others seemingly didn't find it appealing enough. Similarly, Chasing Aurora was a great concept but not one that made for a good launch title. The game they are working on now would've been the better title for launch day.
 
toki tori saw also a huge increase after the release of the plus update, and they are porting their three classic to the console, so possibly two tribes is still committed, as shin'en

Yea, I don't think this was about commitment, just general success. Two Tribes is also very engaged with the Miiverse community which is awesome. Love these guys.
 
Chasing Aurora felt like a tech demo, it was OK. Honestly feel that it should have just been a mode in the upcoming sequel.

An HD port of And Yet It Moves.. would have probably sold better, tbh.
 
Chasing Aurora being $15 and local multiplayer game only, with almost no content for single player use is what hurt it most IMO.

They talked about this recently at an indie conventions on highs and lows of game development. Pretty much admitted that they made some mistakes, 1 rushing it to launch, saying they should have hold back and fine tuned the game some more. The $15 at launch was also a mistake they said, as being launch game, not as many people will be wanting to spent a lot after already buying a system and few games. As a Wii U developer, I found their talks fascinating, and was a good insight of what to be aware of and how to potentially avoid these type of issues.

I hope they eventually come back and make another Wii U game.
 
People are being too kind. As a single player game Chasing Aurora plainly sucked*. And the price was too high... but I guess they were banking at people buying everything at launch, and tried to go for maximum profit with that price tag.

Yup. Chasing Aurora just wasn't a very good game when it came to SP. Local-only MP didn't help nor did the high price. It would have done poorly on any platform with the content it offered and the price. Was bare-bones and boring.

Yea Chasing Aurora was more of a 4.99 game then 14.99 and I just didnt like the demo at all.

Saw the alpha video for this game, it looks interesting

I will be glad when all these eshop games start coming out, it seems like there are about 50 between kickstarter, indie game and others that suppose to be coming soon.

Renegade Kid are worse than Nicalis when it comes to European releases. I think the original Mutant Mudds was the last game they released in Europe.

I'm already past the 4 filled panels mark. And that is excluding the system settings, video chat,etc. I'll prob be 5 filled by end of the year.
