Not a bad list and that pic of Kusoru is da business.

Richard Nguyen that high on that list is very iffy.

The major reason I never got that KaneBlueRiver was a Lost Universe reference is because people always pronounce it as 3 words instead of "Blueriver".

That Kusoru pic is too good. He probably blew all that money on soy sauce and PreCure doujins.

since when you play tekken?
I've always wondered, if Tekken players are the successful FGC players... what does that make VF players? The 1%?
Because only 1% of FG players have even tried playing VF. :|

Fanatiq is kinda iffy. At his prime, he was pretty significant. But because he quit/retire so many times its to gauge him to the players nowadays.

Richard Ngy is like.. top 30-40 or maybe even 20-30 AT BEST. I mean he did get a top 8 at evo but so did infrit sooooooooooo why the discrepancy?

I would put fanatiq ahead of Richard, Cloud, KBR, and Zak. I would say he is tied with Rayray/flux. Of course this is talking at his prime, not Leaguenaitq.

Was it the latest curleh where Tastysteve and Yipes commentated together? That's the best duo i have ever heard, couldn't stop laughing throughout (THE RECLINER! etc).

They should have them do marvel, even if Yipes has to play a match once in a while.

He has multiple top 8s and victories over lots of top players. Far better than Cloud 805 or Richard.
He has one top 8 at a major, same as Richard Nguyen and both are supplanted by Cloud 805's top 4 EVO finish.

I already said I agreed with you that Richard doesn't deserve to be that high. But between Cloud and Flux I would give the edge to Cloud simply because he performed very well at EVO and then continued his form at locals. Flux is a beast at locals but at majors he is lackluster.

The only good thing about this EH list is the salt that it's generating from people. West coast bias, questionable picks, people who haven't played Marvel in years ranked higher than people with consistent results.

The last time I've seen Kusoru was on the back of a milk carton somewhere, and I love KBR, but ranking him over people who've won majors for Marvel? That makes no sense.

The number of people who have actually won majors within the last year or so in UMVC3 can be counted on a single hand. That is why if you are going to make a top 50 list you have to consider top 8 major placements and in that KBR has placed. Not only that but he has placed at international competitions outside US as well.

The people who have actually won majors in UMVC3 are ChrisG, Flocker, FChamp, Justin Wong, PRRog, Kusoru, Xian, Fanatiq, MarlinPie. Xian and MarlinPie won Shadowloo Showdown so I don't know if people want to include that as a major. Yipes has won like 2 tournaments but they were more regionals than majors. Within the US it's really just 5 people who win everything most of the time so if you want to include people outside of a top 10 list you have to start taking into consideration top 8 major finishes.

Combofiend being as low as he is whilst being the most consistently placing player at EVO in the years he did play, Infrit being right next to him, Cloud with one hot showing being so high up, Noel lower than ShadyK, presumably Nemo being as high as he is with not very well rounded showings etc. They don't even provide proper criteria. It's a comical list that is pretty much just who the editors' favourite players are. The entire list reeks of inconsistency.

It's pretty much the same list as Floe's in terms of criteria. It's a combination of tournament performance as well as exhibitions and what the committee felt like the player's actual skill level was.

I honestly think that the worst addition to the list is Kazunoko. Like if you wanted to include a random ass Japanese player in there you might as well have added in Eita because he has performed better than Kazunoko.

So what's going on with the team tournament?
Are there any confirmed teams from like New York/Jersey or California?

I don't have access to the registration list so I'm not sure. It would be great if people from there could attend though. We could certainly use help getting the word out.

I just played BB:CP for 2 hours. I like it. I like it a lot.

Why is a Soul Calibur disc inside a SfxT box supposed to be funny? I don't get it

They went through a lot of trouble to get a sloppy new game, and ended up with an even sloppier, older game.
┐(´-`)┌

SFxT is the bastard SF game. So thats why thats there.

SC4 because LOL3D. Doesn't help that nobody respects SC4. Slow ass game + hilde.

edit
slow by SC standards.
