Well he could have meant "Hel" which exists in the Marvel U.
Ah, wasn't aware. That would make sense then.

Great visually. Art direction is really good. There are some good, funny moments.Loki is the only one with good lines and good acting. Very forgettable movie.(Captain Loki)
Saw it tonight and enjoyed it for the most part.
I know it's a shit complaint, butI know these movies have to be on their own, I get it. But it annoys me to no end when the Earth (and universe for that matter) is faced with catastrophe? The rest of the Avengers are taking a nap. I could get over this notion when they were fighting in Asguard or elsewhere given that the Avengers would have a hard time getting there. But London? Come on.
Don't all phase 2 movies take place at the same time? Which would explain why the avenger's don't come to each other's aid.
Liked it, but didn't think it was that good. One thing that pissed me off wasThere was too much joking around going on during the final battle, I mean the Universe is at stake and you're sitting there cracking jokes left and right. I don't mind stuff like that, but not when it's happening during something that is super serious.

I know I was definitely hoping when Jane & Thor were about to be crushed by the ship that Iron Man/Hulk would fly in and move them out of the way. Drop a quip about how he had errands to run first or something, and be done.

But hey, all in all? I don't regret going, I enjoyed myself nonetheless. Humor was spot on.
Next week's episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is gonna cover the aftermath of Thor 2. I hope they explain why S.H.I.E.L.D. didn't get involved.
True, but then you also have Kat Dennings say she couldn't reach S.H.I.E.L.D. when she called them, no? Or am I remembering things wrong?
The battle takes maybe 30 minutes, I can't blame them, I didn't mind it. It's a Thor movie, I don't want everyone to get shoehorned in every movie, but (technically) it does raise the question why no one there would pick up when whatever-her-name calls, although I guess she's not important enough.

Why are people talking about theinfinity mitten?
I watched both credit scenes. What did I miss?

Why the hell would they even give it to that guy?

MaybeLoki-Odin told them to as part of his deal with Thanos.
aha! Didn't realize they were ingredients of something else.aether and tesseract are two of the "infinity stones" that go in the glove.
Saw it. Liked it. Much better action than the first. Still has a lot of humor, which I liked a lot about Thor 1.
MCU Rankings:
Avengers > Iron Man > Captain America = Thor 2 > Thor = Iron Man 3 > Incredible Hulk > Iron Man 2
When you say the cameo, do you meanCaptain America? That was funny, probably one of the biggest laughs in the theater.
But they always exists to sell something
2. Thor puts thethe hammer on a coat rack and it holds it up? The Hulk couldn't even lift that thing
It's not so much that the hammer weighs a trillion pounds or anything, it's just that a living being who is not worthy won't be able to budge it. So if Thor put it on a table, it wouldn't crash through the table and through the floor, it would just not be movable.
yep. It has "permission"
Still seems silly as that coat rack looked so cheap that a heavy coat would knock it down. But I digress.
becausehaving the infinity stones/gems all in one location is an EXTREMELY BAD IDEA. Collector is an elder of the universe in mainstream continuity (though not exactly a "good person") and maintains a collection of the rarest species and items in the universe. It WOULD be safe with him, assuming he wasn't corrupt...which he is.
It also creates a very simple link between GOTG and THOR, which is probably closer to what Marvel wants.
Does anyone else find it odd when movies like this have lines like "See you in hell!"?
Loki says it at one point in the film and I immediately think, here is an Asgard God basically, where did he learn that phrase? I think it's pretty obvious they wouldn't be Christians.

-Blander-ish villian SPOILER:why did he want to make the universe dark again? ..just... just because?
Thought this was pretty enjoyable overall. My favorite part was actuallyQueen Frigga protecting Jane from Malekith. I haven't seen the first movie so the queen being able to go toe-to-toe with the main bad guy was a total surprise to me, even after seeing her grab the sword off the guard. Shame she didn't make it, but at least she went out like a badass.
this was actually a good line. There were a ton of bad ones though, mostly from the Natalie Portman character. He has some bad lines: 'trust my rage' was just corny.
1. What the fuck were those ships made out of that could plow through stone columns like that? But spoilers?Seemed kinda silly. The gatekeeper could crash one with a couple of daggers?
Sounds like a fantastic idea, right?
