I'm seriously think to cancel and wait for better games and possible price drop no real must play games not even pretty good games at the moment. Maybe I should get an wii u instead ...

If you want an established console with a growing library of good games, get the Wii U. If you want to get in on the ground floor and share in the excitement of a new console, get the PS4.

The Wii U is tempting but I still can't shake the thought that it's going to flame out completely in a year or so. The PS4 will have an incredible library of games in six to twelve months, even if you only include indie games and not the AAA "blockbusters".

Its always the case with new console releases, spent most of the first year of the 360 playing halo 2 on my old xbox and the 360 doing nothing.

I have a wii u and have an xbox one on pre-order, its going to be a rough first year but i'm buying it day one to maximise the amout of use i get out of it.

If they drop the xbox one price in the first year they better send me out a controller and a game like the did with the original xbox!

Erm, what's changed? As far I knew no one on NeoGAF gave a shit about Knack and the other games are reviewing just fine.

Or is it over-reaction time?

Nope. Will get mine Friday and I'll enjoy Killzone like some reviewers have.

Might not be game of the year, but it'll still be a decent game considering scores are averaging in the 8's.

Plus all the 3rd party games.

And Resogun

Hell no. You'll be buying one in the very near future and unless you're getting it from a scalper, why wait?

Console reviews are...odd. I'd rather the focus be on the games but to each their own, I guess.

If you are cancelling it, I know a few dozen people who'd love to take it off your hands. XD

I'm not getting the system immediately at launch anyway, but not waiting too long due to Infamous. However, I do think Sony could have done a much better job with the lineup, and despite all the praise they get for continuing previous-gen support, some of the PS3 library the latter part of this year would have worked wonders on the PS4 launch library.

Do people pre-order consoles solely to play the handful of launch titles?

I can't imagine anyone cancelling their console over some launch title reviews unless they really weren't sure they wanted one in the first place. In which case I'd wonder why they'd pre-ordered one at all.

if you have better use of that $400+ this holiday, than sure cancel. if you don't, might as well keep it.

But if you see none of the games as must plays, why even get one at launch in the first place?

This was one of those rare situations where I was glad that Europe is getting something game-related later than the U.S. Now that I've seen the reviews, I'm definitely cancelling my order - my hope was that Killzone at least would be great, but it's now obvious that isn't the case.

I'm just going to give it a few months (once some of the good indie titles have dropped).

No. Will buy two now. Seriously reviews are something you can take with a grain of salt. You might have a totally different opinion when you play a certain game. Anyway this is a time for joy.

1. Was I buying the console at launch based on the launch games rather than the new console smell? Nope.
2. Did I expect 10/10 Launch Games? Nope.
3. Do I expect a price drop within a year from now? Nope.

So nope, pre-order remains intact.

Returning knack. Keeping my system. Kinda regret putting down 650 bux to play a bunch of third party cross gen shit. Oh well.

Please do and allow someone who might appreciate some of the games beyond what fucking Arthur Gies or whichever other chump says they won't enjoy..

Surprised this wasn't your line of thinking initially. The system will certainly drop in price and the better games will release in a year's time. Save the money. Easy choice.

This happens every generation launch, buyers remorse will be strong.

This launch negativity didn't stop me from purchasing the Wii U, thankfully. If you're interested in what Sony has to offer at launch, neither should these reviews for the PS4.
