After playing about half of it I agree with you. The beginning is pretty bad but once I got used to the swinging and started gaining abilities it became a ton of fun.

Oh man yeah, the Swinging. It feels SO GOOD. I can spend a bunch of time just playing by myself in a lan match swinging around!

I haven't played the game in years, but I remember when I did try playing it, I went into it feeling like I wanted to give a fair chance. I wasn't gonna dismiss it, but the swinging is what I liked the least about it. It felt like your reach was just too short. I kept thinking I should be close enough to grab certain things, but it was always just out of my reach.

By the way...other than being limited to 30 FPS, those who are playing NFS Ghosts, how is it?

These games omnomnom gaussian bloom. Jim will agree. :P

Digging the DeadSpace shots.
That fog looks great for a game released this year let alone one that was released over a decade ago!
...

First look at this release of the stand-alone DLC (is that an oxymoron?) and I could be wrong but it looks like there have been improvements to some of the textures; especially the weapons, faces, and armor.

Anyone have any thoughts about which AA works best with AC4?

Every AA mode (other than SMAA \ TXAA) includes FXAA on top. SMAA isn't really strong enough to work on foliage in my opinion. TXAA is just a blurry mess.

I'm going with the highest downsampling I can manage + MSAA + sweetfx sharpening (to counter FXAA).

Anyway, for unlock 60fps without any problem create a shortcut to the exe and add this commands:

-GameTime.MaxSimFps 60 -GameTime.ForceSimRate 60.0

I wouldn't say that's "without any problems." You HAVE to maintain 60 FPS at all times. If you dip below, the game will actually run slower and physics won't be calculated correctly.

So it's tricky....

Sure mate. When i say "without any problems" I'm referring to those guys who have a powerful PC for keep 60fps every time in the game. Simple.

Anyway is possible modify that command with 40, 45, 50, 55 fps (depends by cases.)

Hey Wanny, mind posting your SweetFX settings? Your DS2 shots are gorgeous.

EDIT: Beaten. A testament to how nice it looks.
