Woke up and watched this about 30 minutes ago. So glad I didn't wake up at 5am to watch the stream!
I hope we don't have to wait long for a gameplay trailer :/ I thought the P3 and P4 announcements came alongside those crazy long trailers. Did those trailers actually follow the original announcements?

should be the norm for the ps4... wow, maybe we will see in 2017 the first true rpgs for ps4.
Persona is a pretty small series. 1M LTD is probably a large enough install base for a Persona game to reach its typical numbers. P4 Golden sold about 85% of the copies that the original Persona 4 sold, even though it launched on the Vita when the Vita's LTD was less than 770k.

Dancing Persona = Hatsune Miku + Persona
Vita and PSP have that fanbase
Its mandated unless theres a good exception, as in they detail plans for a vita port. If thats the case then it'll be very obvious becausr of lack of remote play. They can get around that marketing by releasing ps4 and vita versions concurrently

The Winter timeframe though... Would have to be Feb 2014 since I think March tends to count as Spring.

Yeah, but Dengeki will probably have stuff for it. They probably had a deal with them for exclusivity in revealing Persona 5. That's why we didn't have any footage now.
That hasn't stopped Atlus before...
The latter since the former is usually regarded as Winter 2013.

I really hope we get Persona 5: Portable on Vita. Otherwise I will probably miss this game.

That's not a good enough exception at all. If that was the case EA would opt out for their sports games. Sony built both consoles with this in mind, they're not going to give fucking Atlus a break on it cause they want to port it.
It has to need the camera or move. Straight up.

I'll try picking this up on Gaikai.
That's one of the few positives of the Sega purchase.
IF there is a western version Sega will publish it themselves and it will probably be released in US/EU at the same time. At least that's what i think.
I would think the slave thing would reference to persona. You are a slave to your emotions and dark side and to be free, you must unlock your persona
ngl i'm more excited about the idea of atlus finally moving the hell away from p3/p4 than playing the actual game itself
EDIT: Having said that I'd be happy if P5 had a similar tone to the likes of P2. Although I started with P4 and liked it to an extent, to me the series was at its best with the first two installments. There were some things which were done a lot better of course in the latter two games so my biggest hope is to see a positive blend of all this.

They've been working on it for years before the PS4 was even announced. I never thought they were going to announce it for the PS4 given that they didn't have the dev tools at the time
