Persona 4: Dancing All Night announced for Vita

Delicious cosplay incoming.

Oh and I don't mind this, P4 showed up until 2008 so I'm guessing there's hope for P5 for 2016. :v

Personally would be more receptive of this if Atlus had put out more on PS Vita than just Persona 4: Golden, with no signs of ever putting any other JRPG on the system.

I personally think this game looks wicked.

My wish list:

- This shit getting localized.
- Yukari and Yukiko included. And the Superior MC too from Persona 3 (the male one, not the non-canon one) as well.

If the music is good, I'm all in. My girlfriend loves rhythm games and I love Persona so it's a perfect fit.

Get localized pleaseeeeeee.

While I have never played any rhythm game, nor do I have much interest in them... I might get this. The trailer's got me interested and Rise is cute. It would be nice if there are lots of outfits in this game... hehe... heheheheheh... (drool)

Gonna laugh my ass off if it has some long, drawn out story like Arena does.

Arena managed to justify all the fighting by saying everything was meant to reflect
Labrys' dungeon and her inner turmoil.
So obviously everything happening here is a result of Kanami's worries, and she'll get a persona at the end of everything for her troubles.

We've got a fighting game from ASW and a rhythm game from Dingo.

Maybe we can get a Persona 4 VN from 5pb.?

Doesn't make sense though. In both Arena and Dancing, Atlus' contribution is the story, artwork, and music. Since that's all a VN is, what would 5pb be contributing?

Thanks, I laughed.
Still can't believe that Vita got only dancing game. Is it Sega's doing? What do you think?

If I had to wager a guess I'd say they made it a rhythm game because it is cheaper than a full fledged RPG and they can abuse the consumers wallets with the inevitable DLC song and costume packs.

Dantisssssssssssssss tell them the TRUTH <333

Holy shit, this sounds incredibly plausible. It seems so obvious, but I hadn't thought of it, haha.

I believe 100% Atlus doing.

It's the same principle as the fighting game where they are simply branching out with one of their most popular franchises.
Miku is one of the Vita's best sellers so it kinda makes sense to put it on there.

It wouldn't be a stretch to think that it was the games like these, that what made Atlus attractive to Sega in the first place.

You have a point, but I thought may be it was Sega's idea to make dancing game, exactly because of Miku popularity. I don't think Atlus ever made dancing game, then again... they never made fighting game before Arena.

Dunno if old but it has a very persona-esque story

The story is set half a year after Persona 4, when Rise Kujikawa returns to the world of show business. Rumors begin spreading of a mysterious video on a certain website, which watched at midnight transports viewers to the “other side,” never to awaken again. And members of Rise’s idol group “Kanamin Kitchen” start to disappear.

Persona 4 characters like Yu Narukami and Rise, as well as new junior idol character Kanami Mashita, are confirmed to appear as players “Battle Dance” against shadows in a mysterious world known as the “Mayonaka Stage.”

Well technical Atlus is contracting out their IP to other genre specialist developers for these spin-offs, while the main-team concentrates on P5.

Kills two birds with one stone; Fans of P3 and P4 can continue buying games starring the cast of characters they love, while allowing the Persona team to move on.

I have an exclusive clip of Dancing All Night that reveals Social Link characters are included as well, here it is!

While I assume this is a bullshot, I have a little hope in this game :D

Yeah it's been discussed that it would actually have some canon story built into it.
I'm pretty sure Dingo just does the rhythm game part, while the story and else would be done by Atlus.

Maybe it's just me but something feels off about the face there...
