PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

Anyone who got packages from DPD know if they came 'naked' or in a box / wrapping. Not really keen on carrying that bad boy home after work on the tube if everyone knows what it is.

Mine's in the Preston depot so should be okay now. Not got a delivery time. I'm hoping it's after 12 so the business I live above can take it (they open at 12, I'm at work until 5).

All I remember is getting shoved like crazy and then standing in a line for a while. However I ended up getting a system, even though it was more expensive than I would've liked.

I've never seen consumer animosity like this. So goddamn intense.

Yeah, I've been reading some musings and it seems there is HUGE demand for the PS4 still left to fulfill.
 
Steve has 46 deliveries between his current location and me but he's only about 3 miles of countryside away. How?

Edit: and getting closer. Wondering if it might come here early because there is literally nothing around here, there's no reason for him to drive to where I live, leave, and come back at 2pm

Depends on where abouts in Preston you are on your time really. The depot is in the Gamull area near me so my packages are always here at like 9am.

Kind of shocking to see the kind of demand there is for this thing.

LOL, your last thread was all dust in the wind! Where abouts did you pick up the PS4?
 
It's in London Bridge, about 2mins away from my apartment though not up for delivery until 2PM. Dat waiting. Also my Vita has been delayed to Monday - long weekend ahead.
 
I'm having doubts about picking up my PS4
Have had it preordered since E3

But the only launch game I kinda would like to maybe try is Killzone

The launch lineup for WiiU, PS4 and Xbone am total suck
Would have felt much better if Planetside 2 was aviable
 
Was awake at 7am sat and waited, jumped up to the window at every vehicle coming down my street ( 1 way street ) , Check email....Mick is your DPD driver today , Mick is on delivery number 2 you are delivery number 72.....your delivery will be here between 1:30 and 2:30......fuck sake.

First thing I'm gonna check.

Then I'll leave the box in a safe place for when I return home for Christmas. I reckon that opening it with my little brother there will be more fulfilling. And I'll have more holiday free time.

God damn.
 
Just picked up my PS4. Went to the initial setup. All went fine. Downloaded the day one patch (started downloading in the background already, awesome!). Installed that patch. But now I want to connect to PSN to login with my profile and download some PS+ games. But PSN is down for me. How come? :(
 
No update on my DPD tracker yet or the Parcel Force tracker.

Hopefully both will update within the next half hour. Just to calm my nerves :(
 
I preordered at Coolshop(serves Scaninavia) in early June and after being told personally two days ago that I would get the console at release, I'm now being told I'm not getting it until next week. Apparently they messed up the queue and sent consoles out to people who preordered in august-october. Good times. I bet they regret having comment sections on thier product pages now...
 
Wow, i'm actually impressed at how detailed the DPD tracking is. Name of the driver? Which delivery he's currently at? How far away he is? Estimated time of delivery? Everything is right there.

Just to clarify, i'm from germany and this is the first time i saw this. Only had a single DPD delivery in my life, iirc.
 
Picked mine up from GAME Ealing at 8, updated the hard drive and am now attempting to sin into PSN without any luck. I guess it's getting hammered.

Gyro typing is the only thing stopping me going crazy typing my password in over and over again.
 
Played abit of Euro Truck Simulator to take my mind of while I wait, come back to see im still in Transit to the Depo :(

Delivery still estimated for the 29th though, just wish they would put my mind at ease
