PS4 official European waiting thread - come here and wait with us!

Damnit PSN is being a tease right now, letting me get a little further each time before failing.

I've got to the store, but am getting 'We're sorry, this product cannot be purchased at this time' when trying for Resogun and Contrast.

Still not turned up, Going to work in an hour. Luckily my wife is in all evening but if it does turn up I won't be able to play it until midnight.
 
I tried to log in to store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com to "buy" the free ps+ games. I don't own a ps4 game yet. Shouldn't it work since I have ps+ membership?
 
Had mine for 2 1/2 hours so far so good, very impressed. Only slight problem was getting some SU error when updating to 1.51 happened 3 times, Re-booting solved that though. The power cable is pretty short, about 5ft? just long enough for me though. Installed and updated bf4 and played a couple of rounds of dom without any problems, no lag no crashes :). Have installed shadow fall and downloaded resogun. Good times, and good luck to fellow GAFfers who are still awaiting delivery.

I think since it's a launch, you better download items one by one, the new PSN system tries to get it it all simultaneously.

Not downloading anything since I haven't been able to log into PSN after now more than 30 tries.

Man, this thing looks much more incredible in real life than in the press shots. Standing it up really confuses your brain, it's like an optical illusion looking at it convey a false perspective.

It's the most incredible industrial design idea in consoles ever - a shape of a console that challenges and bends your perception of the space it occupies. This aspect doesn't come through in the flat press pictures.

use the PC store and add it to your download queue.
 
people in Norway are already scalping the PS4.

just the machine seems to be going for 7000 NOK ($1144). And there was just an article stating that its sold out in the country now.

Glad i have mine, cant wait to get home :)

If you put it standing on a single colour surface and stand above it looking down at it, your brain is bound to interpret it as regular shape of a rectangle (not slanted), forced into a very weird perspective not matching your normal perspective. At least that's how my brain works.

Do Sony like the idea of Europeans struggling to find a game? I came across Warthunder today by complete accident and I'd forgotten about it. It's a good job I scrolled through the entire collection of PS4 games just in case I missed something. It's going to be fun trying to find something later on when that list is huge.

Yeah. This has always annoyed me. What gets me is they have changed the layout and look of the store a few times since the PS3 originally launched, but the European store has always been shit in comparison to the US store.

The US store is practical and makes sense. It's easy to find exactly what you're looking for.

I don't understand why the European store has to be different. What's wrong with uniformity?

Really starting to get annoyed with psn. I would just head out and get something to eat but it will only get worse and I'm afraid if I don't manage to log in now and download Resogun I won't be able to do said until Monday.

I think the PS4 is a great console but I really was annoyed when I went to the store. I just don't understand it. Why would they do that? Can someone tweet Yosh and put it to him?
 
So with PSN seemingly dead, what happens if I earn trophies as 'User1'? I've not managed to log in even once with PSN so my account isn't linked or anything.

just checked a danish site called Dba.dk.. units are on sale for 8.000 and 10.000 kr.. ( 893£ and 1116£)
