I think it is very easy to attack the messenger here but I'm not sure that what he is saying is that outrageous. Also, it doesn't appear that he is actually blaming Jews for anything (though admittedly I haven't watched the interview.)

I don't follow Kanye West's political views nor do I know them. I'm not an American citizen so I don't follow your politics indepth as I do my country (but I keep up with any major political news from America and other countries) so I can't get in to a political debate with your regarding it.

It's not exactly untrue to say that the pro-Israel lobby specifically, if not people of Jewish descent or faith, has comparatively more influence in the upper echelons of American society than any pro-African American lobbies, is it? Oh, I understand. Being the President alone isn't really enough. He hasn't been able to accomplish much of what he wants at all because his word and opinions doesn't influence much of the conversation. Kanye attributes this to connections that people have from families, dynasties, etc. But in reality it has more to do with special interests. Democrats usually have moderate corporate support and massive labor union support, but the corporate support is dying and labor unions are fading into oblivion in the U.S.. But overall Kanye thinks Obama being President is somehow trumped by him being black, which is a half truth, in my opinion. EDIT

I don't think it has to do with race, but the fact that George Bush came from a position of influence even before he was President. I don't agree with him, but I don't think he was trying to suggest what everyone thinks he's suggesting. And he isn't talking about the illuminati.
