I like how you have to check to see what server number the friend you want to join is playing on in the main menu. If you don't, after hitting multiplayer it just shows a list of servers that your friends are playing on without differentiating which person is on which server.

Same. No way would I have dropped cash on a game that sells itself on squad based teamwork yet makes you work hard to simply play with a couple of friends.

Maybe I should have done my research but surely a squad party system is a fair assumption in ANY first person shooter, let alone one with BF4's budget.

From playing the first four missions, I actually thought it was a decent campaign too. I went in with really low expectations but I actually quite like what I've played. It's much less narrow than BF3 and the scenarios you take part in are more varied and interesting than expected. I like it more than any other recent Call of Duty campaign, to be honest.

yeah it was confirmed by DICE they are sticking with their party system (where the game automatically puts you in same squad as friends).

even after I went and finished all SP trophies I still had my MP unlocks after my save game corrupted.

here are the MP weapons that unlock from SP.

I know, but you need to do the last one 3 times to get them all which like I said, I didn't get to do before it corrupted. That's why I said I was mad I got the shitty unlock first.

Devs can apparently control what aspects of the game can be captured, I think they forgot to flip a switch somewhere.


Speculation: when they are licensing music, maybe they'll choose to leave the music out of the mix for streaming, so that would require some programming on their side, if PS4 doesn't provide an easy way to mark tracks as recordable / streamable etc.

So, In a game that's marketed as "Play with up to four other FRIENDS in a 5 man SQUAD", they don't include a feature that actually lets you assemble a squad before matchmaking?

This is one of the dumbest things I've heard of in a multiplayer game since, well, many of the decisions made about Halo 4. Get your shit together, DICE. Even if BF3's party system wasn't "up to par" in your eyes, that doesn't mean you should have cut the feature from your fucking game. It means you should have worked on it, as well as shipped a game that was actually completed.

I can't imagine that it's so difficult from them to add the damn squad system from bf3 in. God knows the game is barely any different as per usual.

It is, there was just some weird glitch/conflict when it came to BF4. Every other game has sound when recording.

Yea, I call it The Hurt Locker for that reason right now. It's a shame since it seems like a good weapon grinding map.

OHK fix? Thank the gods! The only other issues for me are the rubberbanding, some people taking obscene amounts of damage (probably a lag issue) and lack of audio I get on some conquest maps.

I swear I was getting one-hit killed about 50% of the time in domination and 25% in conquest regardless of server. This patch will be good for my blood pressure!

I sure do expect this to revolve whatever that crash bug is. If it wasn't for that and the lazy lack of proper party in-game then I would have no complaints. I mean you can see friends playing online in the MP screen but it doesn't show their name. Only the server they are playing on.

Aside from enemies disappearing under the scenario a couple times when killed or right after a firefight is over (this one is maybe intentional?), I didn't have a single sp crash (prison on hard right now). I thought it was addressed with 1.51 "stability patch" on Sony side. Online, on the other side, is pretty much a mess. Managed to play only a couple rounds of bomb.

Also, the patch notes don't exactly strike me as the top-of-the-list things to fix.

The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live Dec 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will get back with final details as soon as we have verification that the update is good to go.
