i never watched gargoyles to be honest, so i can't say for sure it's a top ten show. i like supes enough.

People aren't, really. A couple of people are trying to make DBZ vs Superman happen even though they know both have strong defense forces, because that would be more dramatic I guess.

Drama's coming tomorrow in the top 10 round, and it won't stop until the winner rips the heart out of the #2 show and sits the iron throne.

I do agree with you though, that Superman is superior to Beyond.

batman beyond was like a fanfic version of batman where spider-man was batman in the future, and every interesting element about batman was removed. superman isn't great, but there are worse action shows left.

I gave one vote to Batman Beyond and it already has three save votes, people seem to like it for what ever reason. Top ten doesn't need two Batman shows.

That's my problem with it being #1, even though it deserves it. It's the one major primetime network cartoon on a list that didn't include King of the Hill. Everything else almost without exception was a kid focused show (or was teen/adult focused yet juvenile, like South Park).

Like I said, all the shows I despise are now gone, so now I'm just voting for shows I liked but didn't absolutely love, like for example:

Kill: Superman
Kill: DBZ

Save: I'll sleep on it :P :P :P :P

I'm all for killing alliances and secret PMs but the discussion in this thread are invaluable and keep it alive.

Gargoyles is the last show here I actively dislike. I think Rugrats is top 10 material, but if a show has a particularly strong run(especially multiple, full seasons), I'm typically willing to overlook all the crap that came from it.

I think discussing about the shows and campaigning for the shows is fun. It's all in jest and in good play, at least for me. There are no set ruels. I just think WB trying to make Batman Beyond hip and ready for new century was a failure. I personally don't want to see inferior Batman in top 10. I'm not forcing anybody to kill the show, just voicing my opinion. I doubt PMing has had any big effect on how this voting has progressed. Piling on the first votes usually just reflects on the popular vote and how people feel about the shows. Revenge votes have had messier results then all the alliances and PMing put together.

That is true, but all in all, most shows have had more or less "natural death". Jado did play puppet master very well and is probably reason why ReBoot made it so far.

As for other shows, I think they have just been saved for a round or two. It just seems that the progress of voting has been reasonable and something one would expect if you look the shows objectively. I think fanboys out for blood have had actually worse impact on the progress of voting. They go out guns blazing and without much reason.

Not to mention variety of the shows is great in this thread, thus there is big chance some people have not even heard some of the shows. Once they see unknown show getting lots of votes, they will just pile on it since it doesn't matter to them if the show goes or stays. I voted like you and some other guys for few rounds but I wasn't in any PM loop. I just thought the shows were filler and had to go sooner or later. There were accusations of alliance but at least I wasn't part of it. I just voted.

Nonetheless, I have fully enjoyed this thread and I don't mind campaigning or secret ballots at all. I actually tip my hat to people like Jado. It takes tons of effort to PM such amount of people and I would say there aren't many willing to do it. I PM'd you and KalBalboa for few rounds and I already felt it was too much since I couldn't send same message to two users at the same time :D
 
haha! I'm with you 100% on that man. This thread has been a blast, no matter the outcome - the journey has been well worth it. As much as it killed me that Reboot cockroache'd it's way to the top 15 looking back it's kinda hysterical. I'm already vastly looking forward to the 00s toon survival thread!
 
Hey. It's a survivor thread. If one wanted a thread without campaigning, alliances and revenge votes it should have been a normal "list your top 10 and tally the votes" thread. This is way more fun.

In the 90s show we're voting on, Superman definitely can't breath in space. There are a few episodes that illustrate it pretty well.

He was really defeatable on that show and had some very logical limits.
