At least I found out that I only had 7 EC coupons in total. Now the bigger question is... what the hell did I buy to get those?
It's $15 with coupon, probably won't hit that for a while again.

From what I understand, end of 31st for all the EC games on right now, but since Dark Souls keys were messed up, the coupons are extended by one day, till end of Feb 1, for Dark Souls only.
So I guess this confirms that a GFWL removal patch is coming for Ace Combat.

I was just about to post this myself. I posted news of the patch yesterday but there was no description at the time.

Payday 2's new DLC is pretty great. The patch changed a TON, but the DLC's addition of LMGs is just downright sexy. They're fun to use, though they could stand to be SOMEWHAT more accurate and/or force enemies to dive for cover.
The game was a bit harder than I remember it being--we failed a LOT, even on normal Go Bank. ._.
Had a blast, though. Got a few friends leveled up a few times. Cloakers totally change the game, and it's AWESOME.
My only remaining Payday complaint is the maps.
I could be wrong, but I believe that modbot automatically filters out lurkers who might try to apply?

Looks promising.
Not to make a big deal out of $2.50 games, but to me just making 5 posts, most of them "thanks for..." doesn't make somebody not a lurker.
Talking about GFWL
Is there somewhere a list up to date? I mean for games that already have GFWL removed.
Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY and City GOTY, BioShock 2, Fallout 3 (sort of -- the CD key requirement was removed and you can use the GFWL DLC with the Steam version), Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and Toy Soldiers (sort of -- you're given the option to play with Steamworks or GFWL).
Edit: Gotham City Imposters, too, insofar that keys for it activate the Steamworks-based F2P version.
You could always set it to giversonly. I'm sure most of the regulars have at least given a few games.

That's not that many as I expected. Still better little than none.
They are removing it from Dirt games as far as I can remember too. not Fuel?
So, if Scamco is removing the blight from Ace Combat, shouldn't they do so with Dark Souls as well? Grief.exe may yet get those cheevos he's been pining for.

Probably, but I wouldn't want to preclude people who can't give away but still contribute, especially because of how easy it is to give away a free key to bypass it.
They sure should. If they actually can or not given the patch history of the game remains to be seen.
Dark Souls is practically a given now.
Yeah, GFWL-free Dirt 3 is in the works. Fuel and Dirt 2 have new apps in the registry and GamersGate told customers who missed out on keys during a recent Fuel sale that Codemasters won't be providing more until "it's finished updating the game", which can only mean one thing, really.

Just a question: I'm heading over to the US for an exchange program in august. Currently living in Singapore. If I buy any region-locked stuff on steam and activate it there, then head back to Singapore, will I ever get into trouble?

I don't think there's any region lock besides a few games with activation location limits in the US.
Edit: For example, Total War: Shogun 2 Gold, you can play it anywhere you want after you activate it.

Hmm the only DLC I bought was the first one in a post purchase high without realizing that the missions were kinda free already. I know cloakers are free too, so are the LMGs worth it?

That's terrible news. Remember Me wasn't a huge hit (critically or sales wise), but I had hoped it would be a good start for them. It makes me hope that someone picks them up.

Chaos Theory is the best game in the series quality wise and the best one for you to get.
Chaos Theory is great.. but you should get them all! Brilliant stealth games (at least up until Conviction).
