This man has overstayed his welcome. If there was any doubt, the opening of Gamescom yesterday was the last straw. He peaked many many years ago when he conducted actual critical interviews with people like Reggie and Don Mattrick.
I'm so sick of his soulless marketing slop paid trailer presentations with random side-chick and some DEI sprinkled on top. The industry with their focus on garbage (China Souls and GaaS) is undoubtedly culpable as well, but Kyle Bosman demonstrated how it's done in the pre-show yesterday. Quick, witty, to the point. And I am not even a fan of Bosman but he actually did put in effort. Keighley just reads off a teleprompter with dead eyes and collects the pay-out. He literally puts the trailer in the bag.

How did we ever allow Dorito Pope to acquire a monopoly on the most important gaming shows? It's time to retire to your mansion and live happily with your crush, Kojima.

I got nothing against him. He's a marketing tool, but at least he provided an outlet when E3 died and seems to actually understand/care about gaming as a hobby. I'd rather watch him shill trailers than watch a bunch of zoomer influencers stand around awkwardly and try to do comedy or look cool.

What does a German developer have to do with an American program to encourage diversity in employment?

Calling everything that offends your delicate snowflake sensitivities "woke" or "DEI" just looks silly.

Shame about the Chud stuff as I agree with a lot of what you said about Doritos.

Yeah, he's a major douchenozzle! I had my last straw with him as well!!! I saw Geoff at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn't want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, "Oh, like you're doing now?" I was taken aback, and all I could say was "Huh?" but he kept cutting me off and going "huh? huh? huh?" and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like "Sir, you need to pay for those first." At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually "to prevent any electrical infetterence," and then turned around and winked at me. I don't even think that's a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
 
Wth are you talking about? Weird rant. He doesn't make the games. He is also the only one doing live presentations these days.

The whole rant seems like you need to stop reading social media or something.
 
Well you don't have to watch him, just like you don't have to care about his awards show. I usually browse the news articles & trailers the next day to find out what's been announced.
 
Wtf, the kyle bosman was the worse part of the show. It just seemed dead, no soul.

For the love of Baby Jesus, never let this dude do a pre-show again.

I usually dislike Keighley for all his circlejerking with people he favors but I have no idea what OP is talking about this time. I actually thought it was cool that Sjokz was co-host.

Edit: Also calling her a random side chick is dumb as fuck for obvious reasons.

I don't have to like him to accept that he is trying to push the medium more into the mainstream. That in itself has abolutely negative consequences imo. Whenever more money is involved, the quality degrades because it isn't about dedication and devotion anymore as it becomes the hunt for profit. But still, there are indies getting the spotlight while simultaneously having these AAA companies/games being there to pay for it all on top of the ad $'s.
He is doing what he thinks is right and of course wants to make $ while still caring about the medium. At least that's what I feel when I watch the dude.

I'd prefer having Bosman standing there on the stage with his dry humor and doing bits while trolling the audience and the presenters/game companies. That would be sweet. But at the same time, I am baffled that Bosman gets the gigs he is doing because he isn't the usual type for these kinds of things. His style isn't mainstream at all imo. Even though he is nerdy which isn't the niche it once was, he still has this quick and dirty quality to him. I miss the old Final Bosman days, but even Delayed Input is without comparison imo.

you cannot compare the two.
