Only game I cared for was Phantom Blade 0, which Ive seen plenty of already.

Ending on a fucking PVP GAAS TRASH UGLY AS FUCK game is inexcusable. 2/10 show. He deserves any slack hes gonna get for that finale.

best game best legs

Soooo......what happened to Half Life 3? That was almost 100% lock to be there based on tons of insiders, leakers and others............
Why would Valve pay a million dollars to announce it there?

They could just write the title on a the back of fag packet, post the image and the internet would explode.

A bunch of noobs cleaned up house and left everyone in tears including Kojima and his A-list DS2 cast. Wild.

Not sure it deserved that many awards, but GotY is fair.

Surprised it didn't pick up best multiplayer game as well.

Overall a pretty damn good show hampered by an astronomically underwhelming final reveal.

I'm not interested. Even my best friend sitting next to me, he was like is this just Overwatch with horses?

And then rhe revolver guy showed up and hes like oh theres McCree.

Swing and a miss on that reveal.

I feel for Warhorse, KCD2 is such a good fucking RPG, they shoulda won that category for sure

I voted for Troy Baker in that category because without his ability to absolutely nail the character of Indiana Jones that game would have been a massive swing and a miss IMO. His performance, his ability to really capture Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones, really helped carry that game.

There's so many games out there these days that I think the "best performer" should be split into separate male and female categories similar to motion pictures.

Also I'll clarify: I'm not saying #BringBackE3 because there weren't ANY good announcements. There were quite a few: more Requiem footage, Out of Words, Control 2, Ace Combat 8 etc.

The problem is the presentation. Too stilted, too scripted, too theatric, too emulative of The Oscars, and just way too many CG trailers and adverts. Geoff really needs to cut it down to one show year; he can't juggle two let alone three. And some actual competition in the space, i.e what stuff like E3 used to present (both WRT other shows and also instilling a competitive spirit among platform holders to actually put in some effort when showing up) would be appreciated.

At this point, and I mean it this time, I'm just skipping these gaming shows altogether going forward. They offer nothing catching up on trailers afterwards in my own time can't provide. These don't feel like real events anymore, the sense of community, competition, and the presentations being a bit more down-to-earth is gone.

And at this rate, it'll turn into just another Academy Awards show with activist acceptance speeches and "special" category developers.

Keep the show apolitical and although a meme, get your award and get the F out. Otherwise, more and more people will tune you out just like they do with the Oscars and other stupid award shows.

I'm so damn happy for Sandfall, they truly deserved all the awards they won. What an amazing game to come out of fucking nowhere and actually deliver, and a perfect narrative for this year's TGA. I'll never forget my first playthrough. These are the kind of classic games that inspire another generation.

Hat's off to E33. The game is obviously beloved and this wasn't a very strong year for anything to really go against it. It won basically what it deserved. Be that as it may, RPG of the Year should have went to KCD2 & Warhorse.

As a huge Kojima fan, it hurts to see him lose every single award but I am glad to see him get passed over by younger more ambitious devs who revived a dead genre with the cinematic and visual flare Kojima himself was known for. He literally said that they didnt even bother making DS2 next gen because the jump from PS4 to PS5 wasnt high enough. Well, this is what happens when you make a DLC feeling and DLC looking sequel.

Lol at this Concord 2 reveal being the biggest reveal of the show. Fuck Keighley.
Most sequels this Gen have that DLC feeling. Even TOTK didn't look much different from BOTW.

Should've won last year. Nobody care about Indy this year besides the PS audience who got it late and probably was grumpy over that. It was a 2024 game. Geoff needs to stop cutting off the year in November, it's pure stupidity and only there because publishers use the event to sell more games for the holidays.

Eye appointments are cheap. If you need some recommendations let me know.
Thanks but if seeing "your ass is mine" under Troy Baker picture at game award is wrong, then i don't want to be right :messenger_blowing_kiss:

Anyway, hat's off to E33 nerd crew for cleaning everything up, all while dressed like the racist caricature of french people they are.
Rat's off to game award crew for such a pointless show.
Thank god for Leon reveal and Control 2 so we did not waste our time so much.

Looks like I made the right call going to bed halfway through last night haha woke up expecting to see at least one crazy game reveal but instead everyone just bitching thst the show sucked. Kind of surprising.

For those who don't know: Okami 2 was a reveal at a prior The Game Awards. This year, Geoff says he'd like to someday reveal a returning major IP some day, then reveals GaaS slop. Okami twitter tweets the above, with guns and a ball added.

The thing about DS2, KCD2 and Silksong is that they were all sequels. Everything else being equal, a great new IP will outshine a great sequel 10 times out of 10.

This definitely happened yesterday with last game, perhaps they remove the big surprise on last minute truly disappointed

I just want to know how much the studio paid for that specific slot, because that reveal was so terrible and pointless that it could've been one of those filler reveals that played during the breaks.
