Honestly this is giving me a big "red flag" when my mind considers pre-ordering this game.
I can see a lot and a lot of MTX & despicable practices straight from BDO coming to this game judging by what they are already doing before the game is even released.

The Games Collection here in the UK sent my PS5 copy yesterday so I may get it today as my previous pre-order from them came the next morning and a day early (Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined for PS5). Looking forward to checking this out for myself on PS5 Pro, especially now the PSSR2 system update is out.

Denuvo sucks, yeah...but this mtx stuff is being done everywhere. Even KCD2 had this "twitch drops" shit. Thank god you could easily "mod" these items into yr game and I hope it will be the same here.

Forcing anyone to have to watch 5 hours of Twitch footage for an exclusive armour set sounds like sheer torture to me. Wouldn't want to do it myself. So where are these mods again?

In KCD2 you could just open the console and spawn these items in or you would just use a mod, which made these items available to purchase ingame from a vendor. I hope it can be done here as well. Although the twitch drops items looks pretty bad to me. Not sure if I would even want them. (in KCD2 they were pretty bad ass)

Hmm, just saw the part about Twitch drops. I'll be playing on console, so no mods, which means I'll probably just leave a stream in a tiny browser window, shove it in a corner, and mute it while I'm working to at least grab the week 1 cosmetic rewards. :/

This isn't the first time a single player game had release windows in this manner. It's a recent thing and I don't care for it.
It should unlock at 12am on whatever platform on the day of release. This isn't Battlefield where they have to fire up the servers.

We had it this way before already. It only means the game is unlocking first in New Zealand and everybody and his mother would VPN over and we would got 24hours full of early "leaks".

My physical copy just showed up as expected. I'm going to start the install now, and I guess I'll wait for the day 1 patch to unlock tomorrow, but at least that's one less thing to worry about.
Worst case swing by Best Buy tomorrow morning and hopefully grab one in person and cancel the Amazon sloth service.Meanwhile, on Amazon....

Well it's releasing on the 20th March here... They honestly could have just let the game unlock on the 19th in every country.

I'm in the Atlanta area so delivery in one day isn't uncommon. Knowing Amazon they won't actually ship it until tomorrow though.
