This episode wasn't very good. I don't care about the whole church group, and I had a really hard time caring about Glenn & friends getting water and fish for most of an episode, or Abraham meditating on his knees.

Then this show is not for you. People want guns blazing and action but The Walking Dead is more about humans than zombies and how the characters develop. Go watch something else. I dont get why people complain so much about things... if you dont like it more on and invest your time into something more productive... time is unstoppable.. you are running out and wasting it.

Uh. I do enjoy the show as a whole enough to keep watching it, thank you very much. I don't really crave "guns blazing and action", but I do find certain episodes weaker than others, and sometimes it's nice if things get switched up.

Why do people need to tell others to stop watching the show whenever somebody makes a complaint about something? Everything isn't always sunshine, a lot of series and movies got parts that aren't as good as others.

The show is at its best when it's just dumb action. Whenever the characters open their mouth I want to kill myself.

There was a moment in this episode where Beth's accent went about 500x Southern than it have ever been before. It was only for like one or two words but came out of nowhere. I can't tell if her's and Maggie's Southern accents are terrible, dead on, or both.

I liked this episode. Sash is an idiot. Why is Tyresse even there?

I'm not sure if Daryl is getting soft or if Rick is getting more blood thirsty. Probably both.

This show isn't for anyone who doesn't want to be treated like an idiot. I'm one more episode of stupidity away before finally giving up in this show for good. It's officially worse than Heroes at its worst.

This post reminds me of Lost fanboys claiming that show was all about the characters rather than mysteries.

Probably 99% of The Walking Dead audience is watching for the zombies and action. The three most popular characters are the badass guy with revolver, badass guy with crossbow, and the badass chick with samurai sword.

The rest of the cast is pretty much laughed at every single episode for doing stupid things (like Sasha in this ep). With a handful of exceptions, the character development has been piss poor.

I actually love the slow moments in the show where characters interact. It's the cohesiveness of it all that bothers me sometimes. This most recent episode was just a bunch of stuff happening that felt like it was just thrown together in a sloppy manner. I will keep watching and complaining if need be.

Same, I'll give it the mid-season finale and then go from there. Romero was right, it's a soap-opera with a zombie occasionally and it's doing nothing to try and buck that. In fact, it's laying the melodrama on thicker than ever and coupling it with an entirely directionless plot. I miss Dale and The Guv'nor, at least they allowed to the rest of the cast to speak louder than a monotonous growl.

Oh my god do I miss the Dale days. People always crap on the Hershel's farm part of the show, but compared to where we are now I thought that stuff was amazing in comparison.

yeaaah as soon as CopBob started the story of his friend, I immediately knew what was going to happen.

Why is there still no buddy system when it comes to characters going off onto their own.

I think most people understand that...its just the really sloppy writing/execution that stands out. Particularly in this episode.

So, was the cop's name really Bob, or was it a trap card?

I wondered that but I can't think of how he could have known about Bob. I suppose he could have overheard something but that was never shown. I'm going to go with it actually being his name and it's just another Walking Dead contrived coincidence.

Okay so MAYBE Sasha was a bit delusional and put more trust in Bob than she should have. But I just don't get how no one saw Sasha leaving the room with Bob. No way they would have let her go alone with him.

I've held on to this show up until this point. I might as well watch it until the end. Hell, I put up with all 8 seasons of Dexter.

I pretty much just laugh during the episodes now. I'm hoping Eugene is at least a zombie so something interesting happens. I should read the comics...

This show is at its worst when its trying to develop characters, the writing is generally garbage. Watching zombies get fucked up and predicting which characters are going to snuff it is were the fun is. I go to sopranos, the wire, shield or the returned for quality writing and character drama .

I think the character beats have improved soooooooooooo much the last 2 season and this season is cementing it. I'm glad that critics agree as well so I know I'm not going crazy.

based gimple. I knew critics would like this season and I also knew some of the fanbase would dislike that kind of stuff, such is the nature of such an insanely popular show.

If you guys just want dumb zombie killing action you should give Z Nation a shot.

Im enjoying Z Nation more than Walking Dead right now.

But its also far from good. Its just that Walking dead is more annoying

Oh my god do I miss the Dale days. People always crap on the Hershel's farm part of the show, but compared to where we are now I thought that stuff was amazing in comparison.

Unfortunally that is true

Maybe its because it was season 2, we were still expecting great things from the show (and the final episode was pretty good!). Now our hopes have diminished

I think Walking Dead is the better show overall but I'm enjoying Z Nation for what it is. It has a lot more of the crazy zombie action that some want to see more of in TWD. I did think all the characters in it were shit but a couple of them have grown on me.

Me too! Murphy went a long way, he and his whole situation are actually pretty interesting

My only* problem with the show is the fact that they dont even touch the "survival" aspect of the zombie scenario. Water, food, ammo are never problems. And overcoming these problems should be part of the fun on a zombie tv show or movie (this also isnt explored in TWD)

*not ONLY problem, there´s also the Citzen Z character, the filler
dream
episode, the whole blond guy red haired girl relationship
- thank god its over -
and something else i forgot right now

What a shitty episode. I am tired of half measures. I am tired of the group shooting trees. It's no longer about survival now, it's about being idiots the tv-show.

Pretty much exactly how I feel. :) Murphy and Roberta are my favourite characters. Citizen Z is just irritating.

Rotting corpses melting on the street beyond recognition... "Damn, one of those guys was my partner back in the day. No seriously. I recognize him by, uh, thangs." Sasha says sure Bob 2, seems totally plausible! Except for Michonne (about the only female character in TWD that can handle herself) every other female character at times is so fucking useless. Well, have to admit that Beth got her gameface on. Good for her. Stray observations:

1) Dawn is the name of that cop right? She isn't convincing at all. At first she happy slaps Beth and a few eps later she gives her the keys to the drug cabinet. What gives lady? She's pretty boring as well.

2) Daryl with the useful Zombie bowling technique. I laughed. It's so bizarre, loved it. No gif GAF? Disappointing.

3) Gabriel is an even bigger wuss in the series compared to his comic counterpart. That's quite the accomplishment.

4) Glenn picked the best place for the zombie apocalypse. All of these pretty ladies.

5) Bram with the Rick-face.

6) Tyreese going full Andrea. Seriously, another awesome character from the comic getting downgraded In the series. Terrible waste.

7) Hail Hydra! Wait? Bob...? Holy shit HYDRA BOB!

I'm so happy to hear someone else say that. I hate Citizen Z and it's too bad because that could be a really interesting character to have in the show. I do wonder how he's going to handle whatsherface being gone.

The bolded pisses me off more than anything else. It was bad enough to see what happened to Andrea, though it looks like Carol is picking up on that end. Still, it sucks that every black dude on the show ends up dead or in Tyrese's case, a whiny loser. I'm hoping Morgan joins up with Rick soon.

Tyrese and Rick were such an awesome team in the comics. Sucks that it's not like that in the show but it's whatever I guess.

Well, that wasn't the best. Your a cop, roll eyes, Bob and friend, uh. That hospital boss is so confusing, if it's anything other than not showing weakness but still what is going on with her, flip psycho flop. The priest, ffs why, just burn yourself alive already.

I was thinking maybe the priest goes off into the woods to relay information to Copland, but that wouldn't make sense

I thought that for a minute too, but that would be a pretty big stretch. I don't get the point of Gabriel, like at all. Sasha and Tyrese haven't made much of a impression either honestly. Tyrese seems to do his best work off camera and on camera I've grown tired of his pacifist peacenik routine. One thing is apparent though, Glenn has the best game going in the post apocalypse. Dude knows what's up.

Gabriel has sheltered himself from everything. He hasn't had to kill walkers, he hasn't had to confront hostile people. He's basically as weak as everyone was day 1. Or even weaker since he seems so strongly non-violent.

Take someone that much of a wuss and fast forward him to dealing with people as harsh as Rick's group and he's freaking the hell out.

Then add in some resurfacing guilt over how his cowardice got a bunch of innocent families killed, and that makes a crazy moron.

Right. Get him bitten and be done. He's boring.

I thought this week's episode was very disjointed. Tried to cover all the groups and frankly didn't do any of them justice. The skull shot by Daryl and Rick ready to blow that guy away were pretty much the highlights.

This was the definition of filler imo and I've been a fairly stoic defender of the show.

Man, what the hell is up with the suddenly appearing zombies. The one in this episode was some ninja type zombie or some shit.

Didn't really like the episode all that much, was more of a set up episode for the finale.

I like Tyresse in the show.

Me too, I feel he is an improvement over the comic version. He was great at first but then just kinda became a huge asshole once they reach the prison. After he *Comic Spoilers*
cheats on Carol with Michonne
I stopped caring about him. Pretty much everything after the

was bleh.

That said I am eager to see him go on another rampage with his hammer. Maybe triggered by his sisters death?

I have no idea why you like to talk and act like you're so smart when you've made absolutely idiotic posts in this thread that clearly betrays your lack of understanding of what is actually going on. The show sometimes does treat its viewers as idiots but when they don't, we get posts like this:

It wasn't great at all. It was awful. And I question the judgment of anyone who dares to justify that as a good episode. It had some of the worst wooden acting I have ever seen in a television show. And that's saying quite a lot for the Walking Dead, the king of bad acting. I've seen better acting on reality television. It's like they asked a bunch of their stage hands if they wanted to act and then gave them the job to avoid hiring some actual actors.

The dialogue as I've mentioned before was dreadful. Beth asks the new amputee what the guard had done to her and instead of simply answering the question she responds with some drivel about Satan or something. Just the typical bunch of fucking nonsense and filler crap that's a staple of this show. It's like none one can answer each other on the show straight. Everything has to be in riddles or as vague as possible.

And, what was the point of the Dr bringing Beth down to the zombies in the lower levels? Like telling her they can't leave because there are zombies all over the place wasn't enough? Hey it's that same 'ol zombies-behind-a-blockade-to-show-they're-a-threat scene which we've seen like over a 100 times by now. Yeah, those zombies which many characters can now seemingly dispatch of in droves with a butter knife are totally impossible for a small army of officers with guns to take care off. Yeah, this situation is a total conundrum. And, how pointless was it that he had to get Beth to kill for him when he could have simply done it himself. It's not as if any of those officers had equal medical training so he could have made it look like it wasn't a murder.

Nothing in his episode made any damn sense. And the idea that these guys would just knock her out and kidnap her out of nowhere is equally as confusing. Why were they driving around in the middle of the woods at night? What's the point of rescuing people if you're going to act like assholes and allow people to deplete your resources? At least Terminus made sense since they wanted food.

Are you really that delusional?

I agree that saying it's worse than Heroes might have been way out there, but I think that some of the points brought up about the "Beth episode" was correct...

Latest episode stupid things:

- Craziest stealth zombie so far?

- Crazy stealth car coming out of nowhere crazy fast, nobody heard it. Then they blast it with bullets, through the front window and all, but nobody gets hit.

- Sasha, one of the most uninteresting characters, being stupid. Oh your name is Bob? Sure I'll trust you and help you, also because Tyrese inspired me to help!

- Beth having no problem at all trusting the doctor with the meds. Sure he did it to save his own job before, but still? One would think she would be more hesitant at least.

On one hand I get how dumb it seems for Beth to trust the doctor enough to ask about the meds, but if she hadn't, what was she going to do for Carol? She's not a physician so how was she going to use the pharmacy key for anything without the doctor's help?

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
DAMN that was some punch .. 2 full episodes and Eugene is *still* not up.

Also, I really freaking loved Rick's dazed and stone cold look when he had the gun pointed at that cop's head. That is the face of man on the verge of insanity.

I think, and he never really grabbed me. Plus the show already has someone more or less like him with Daryl.

This had to be of the most stupid episodes so far, I thought the Season was starting to pick up after last week's episode but I guess I was wrong... Gotta say Season 5 has been mostly a disappointment and there's only the mid season finale left.

Yea that was pretty dumb.

I hate it how Daryl is getting soft, and trying to get Rick to be soft too. This guy just almost killed you, and you let him live. Have they not learned anything? Every time they let somebody alive it bites them in the ass 9 out of 10 times. Just kill them and get it over with like they did in the church.
