My favorite lulz moments...
1. Jumping into the water to kill walkers instead of killing them from above.
2. Is everyone just allowed to leave the group/church freely? Carol, Daryll, and Bob just go out without telling anyone. Everyone still partying.
3. Bob failed again. Kinda deserved that, especially if he was in fact bitten. Why not tell the group right away to get your leg amputated. Like what? And atleast say goodbye to the last of your loved ones with dignity.
4. Gareth the hipster cannibal is just a hilarious villian.

Being bitten gives you some sort of super deadly fever.

So the worry would be similar to eating mad cow disease tainted beef. You're not gonna "catch the zombie" since yeah you've already got that, but you'll maybe catch something fatal.

Either way it looked like they were cooking him so it could have killed the "bacteria".

Really liked this episode. Slow burn with the priest. Rick with those sheriff senses knowing something was bullshit.

And then Bob. Pretty sure he's outside crying because he'd been bitten. And now he's really been bitten.

Dat fucking leg on the fire.

Gonna need some Morgan time to clean CLEAR some shit up. Gonna need some crazy town to set some things straight.

And is it just me or is Tara angling for a three way with Glenn and Maggie?

I can't wait until next seasons 'scary parts' are watered down because of some claiming them to be to disturbing, and then those same people will undoubtedly say DEEUURRHHH WTF THIS SEASON IS SO WEAK COMPARED TO LAST SEASON.

Cooking isn't the answer for all diseases like that. I compared it to mad cow for instance, which is still infectious after being cooked at 1000+ Fahrenheit.

And it's a fictional disease so they could make up any rule they want for whatever plot purpose they want.

I'd guess they don't die from it, since that would be kinda anticimactic to not have Rick brutally murder Gareth somehow.

Quite happy with how this season has started. Hopefully they can keep the pace and also keep doing a good job of adapting the comic. This cannibal stuff is legit disturbing stuff and having read the comic I like where the story is going right now.

Oft hope is born when all is forlorn.
What if they cut off the wrong leg?

If he really was bitten then it doesn't matter which leg they cut off, because it has already been few hours before he got bit, and infection would have already spread in his entire body by the time they eat it

This priest guy makes me uneasy, there's something neurotic about him I don't like. Conveniently he has a bus for them all, so the group will stick around long fixing it to discover his nasty secret.

As for Gareth and his man eating entourage, I really hope the antagonism doesn't drag out all season. I was glad they managed to get out of Terminus in one episode, now it looks like we were just tricked into believing the show might have some actual pace. Because no doubt the group will spend all of the next few episodes trying to find Bob and Daryl and Carol, who are trying to find Beth, whose captors are probably linked to the priest.

1. A bit questionable, since they could have just shot all the zombies from the hole. Then again, it would have wasted already scarce ammunition and attracted unwanted attention.

2. Carol was sneaking out to rig the car, as she said "just in case". Might be that shes ready to leave on a short notice without the others if things go south. Daryl just followed her to see what's going on. Bob was propably bitten or something and wanted some privacy.

3. Bob was acting a bit selfishly, I agree. Even if he would have wandered off to the woods, the others would have searched for him for couple of days. On the other hand he would have gone there to gather some thoughts and muster some strenght, and after that gone inside and tell the others that hes going to die. After all, Bob had it going quite well after they first met. And it ain't easy telling that you're gonna die.

4. Gareth is a bit too "Narcissist"-like on my opinion too, but then again, dialogues never were the sharpest knife on the walking dead's knife...collection.

Great episode, this season is shaping up to be the best one since season 1.

Something is really weird with Gabriel the priest.

Can't wait for next episode, darn week, I should save up some episodes and watch 3-4 in a row instead..

I don't think Carol was sneaking out to rig the car, I think she was leaving the group.

Or did I misinterpret that scene entirely?

Bob seems like a versatile meat. What kind of dishes you can turn Bob into? I'm thinking:

* BobBq
* Shish KeBob
* Bob's Burger
* Soylent Bob

I meant from a deliciousness standpoint. ;3

Is it possible to get infected from the water that the walkers were stewing in for so long? Bob didn't seem like he was bit to me, he should have been in a lot more pain and at least limping if his leg was bitten. Maybe.

I'm wondering if maybe he got a bad cut or scratch and he figured he was toast because of infected water or something. I dunno it just seems weird that he seemed pretty okay other than the crying.

episode was alright, didn't really care for kissy bobby it made it super apparent he was going to be fucked.

so what happens to someone who eats infected flesh ?

getting bit and eating infected flesh would give you super ebola which will likely kill you and turn you into a walker.

Is it possible to get infected from the water that the walkers were stewing in for so long?

no. in season two they figure out everyone is infected, as they were drinking walker well water. you become a walker when you die. getting bit or scratched only means youre going to get sick. if you can survive the sickness you'll be fine but most people die.

Well everybody is already infected so I don't see that being the case.

IMO that was the worst scene in last nights show, when Bob got attacked I almost laughed at how bad it was he was grabbing the "dummy" walker to fight it off.

Also, they were in what amounted sludge/slimy water and even comment about it walking back to the church yet their clothes looked exactly the same as when they left. I guess they found a shower?

So when Bob was waking up, and they showed the blurred faces of the Hunters, did I see the guy, Martin, that Tyreese had supposedly killed sitting around the fire?

Woke up to Fine Young Cannibals on the radio.

Now I'm in the mood for some meat w/ Country Bob's sauce.

1. they were saving ammunition and you don't want to attract any more walkers with the noise. Pretty obv brah.
2. why wouldn't they be able to leave the church, they're grown people and can handle themselves or run back in for help if they need it.
3. amputation only works if you do it AS SOON as the bite happens and there was no way that was gonna happen.
4. Hipsters make the best villains of real life

I assumed that Father Carver locked himself in the Church with all the food and wouldn't let any of the locals in, hence why there were scratches at the windows and damning messages.

I liked this episode more that premiere. I love calm episodes. And Tara totally has crush on Maggie. It's either girls only or threesome with Glenn.

Thanks, I started watching TD but as much as I like Tyreese the other guest was just terrible so I turned it off.

Tyreese is gonna catch some hell then, or hope he's next up for the buffet.

Yea, Badger(from Breaking Bad) was not the best. I doubt Tyreese will be next though, he has to come out of his "no killing" thing before anything else will happen with him.

Isn't Gabriel a priest though, not a preacher?
If so, he can't marry.

He talked a few times about his sins and that he'll only confide in God for those. I think it was set up to make the audience feel like he's done something troubling or disturbing. I mean, as the audience we are made to feel/think like the group and just automatically not trust the guy. After the encounter in the watery basement and the picture of the woman in glasses, it makes me wonder if he sinned by breaking his celibacy vows & had a relationship with that woman prior to shit hitting the fan in the world.

For a committed priest, that's a pretty big sin.

I dunno... that's just what I took from it and I hope it's something that simple.
I'm going to be pretty disappointed if the writers really have made Gabriel out to be some kind of wacko. :/

I think it was a pretty good episode with two exceptions. I'm going to assume that since the walkers are dead and don't require air, it's hard to believe that they would willingly go into that flooded basement where there could be zombies crawling in the water. Then there is the fact that the car that took Beth just happened to show up on a random night where Carol decided to go out alone and Darryl decided to follow. Random coincidences like that just don't work for me.

Praise for this episode as a comic reader:

I loved this episode, put a huge grin on my face throughout as I saw them building up towards the "Fear the Hunters" arc. So far they're handling it perfectly; using changes they've made in the show to add new layers to the comic arc, while depicting many of the scenes from the comic almost exactly as they were originally. I basically cheered when Gareth showed up in that jacket. My only legitimate complaint is the way Bob got attacked by the most obvious underwater zombie ever. I actually thought he was going over to take care of it... until he was surprised by it.

I was wondering about that, I wouldn't think there would be a rural Catholic church in Georgia not to mention it was a very small church, maybe some other religious denomination wears collars??

Believe it or not I've seen rural Catholic churches in east TN, so it's not completely out of the realm of possibility. :p

The "one more kiss" line was a dead giveaway that something bad was going to happen to him.

I would assume he did that because he knew something bad had already happened to him, aka, he probably was bit during the water fight.

Another season, another group of baddie humans to deal with. Zzzzzzz

What in the world do you want, them to literally only wander the earth dealing with nothing but zombies every episode?

So if the guy Tyrese beat up in the cabin lived and was with the others at the campfire can we assume it was him that marked the trees? He comes to in the cabin and follows the group marking the trees as he goes along. Gareth and the others follow the markings and catch up. And Morgan runs across it sometime later.

If that's the case, that means Tyrese is responsible for the remainder of Terminus being on their trail. Also possible that Morgan runs into the cannibals before Rick's group can find them.

When the camera zoomed out and I saw Bob's leg was missing I was like..

Maybe Bob really got bit. And Gareth and his homies ate the leg that got bit in some way that saved him from turning into a walker. God damn I'm imagining things like no arms and legs bob still alive. Those cruel bastards will probably force him to eat his own meat too.

I have no clue who was driving that car with a cross on it. Wanna say Gabriel but he was still in the church chillin when that car scene w/ Carol and Daryl happened. Or a character we haven't seen yet stole beth. Maybe Gabriel was a defector from those people who kidnap for religion.

I'm interested in the tree markings too. We found two varieties now. Morgan looked positive when he saw the X in a circle mark. Maybe thats Rick and Morgans secret markings? lol. The horizontal line with something on both ends is probably the terminus peoples markings. Maybe morgan will find both markings and track em at the same time.

Fuckin Tyreese. I knew he let that guy walk away. He's gonna learn it the hard way you dont let those fucks run away from you when you when you got a chance to deal with them now. Ricks gonna have that huge I told y'all moment soon.
