Beth reuniting with the group is going to be awkward.

Was a great episode last night. Actually, this season has been great so far. I really hope they can keep this up. I was actually hoping that Rick would do to Gareth what he did to Bob, as far as starting to cut off limbs but keep him alive for a few days. I told my wife if I were Rick I'd cut off one leg at the knee per day, then cut off his arms, then his ears. But spread it out.

But I'm glad they didn't have Rick do that, I think they might have lost some viewers.

What else would you have them do drag it out for the whole season and then listen to you say how stupid and dragged out it is ? Rick finally had the sense to take them out that thinking would have kept lori and the rest alive had he killed the governor when he had plenty of chances .

No one asked for a full season drag.

Plus, what about my first point? Could have gone places with that.

Some people don't get the whole point of two shotting the cannibals was the Worf effect. Have a big scary bad game posturing who gets easily jobbed by the heroes to prove how bad ass they are.

This way it is less surprising if they ALL make it to Washington.

In next weeks preview,
has the show gone back to Atlanta? Anyone know what city Beth is in? Picture: http://imgur.com/qYZZWY4
It looks like it. When I saw the buildings it immediately set it off.
I'd like to thank the show for giving us this GIF, which will come in quite handy on Gaf when threads get a bit too crazy.

As for the epp, loved it but I am so tired of the contrived bullshit of splitting the group up every chance they get. Abraham couldn't wait a bit, really? Especially now that the danger of the Terminisians was gone?
Nice, was hoping someone would gif that moment. Saved.

Just watched the Comic Con trailer for season 5 again, and DAMN, it's PRETTY misleading. Its made as if Garreth and Rick's group go on a trip.

"Glenn, go to Terminus

Oh, and Beth if you're still alive, you can come too. I guess."

She's probably already accepted that Beth is likely dead. The first news she got of her surviving the prison attack was Daryl saying that she was gone. Glenn on the other hand has shown himself to be crazy resilient and he's probably the best at simply surviving in the whole group. Much better chance of him still being alive than of Beth.

No one asked for a full season drag.

Tainted Meat isn't actually a thing because it can't be a thing and still be logically consistent. Everyone is infected already. What causes the turn is dying. Bites cause the turn because whatever fever that happens after a bite kills the person. So all the meat the people at Terminus have been eating *is* tainted meat. There's no difference between Bob and everyone else in terms of being infected.

Daryl can't be with Beth.

If so, they're throwing away the whole rescue story arc.

Morgan would be weird to have but cool. Carol is unlikely. Too much of a big thing was made of it.

Good episode...but, and maybe I'm the only one... I didn't really care about Bob. I don't think I was given any reason to really. I don't think I remember anything about him, other than he was a lush, and that's because the only thing I remember him doing is collapsing a shelf with a bottle of booze and getting the group scouting for meds into trouble.

That's probably compounded by my also not really giving a crap about Sasha, who I tend to find annoying, and their somewhat contrived romance.

With Carol apparently gone again, that leaves Michonne and Daryl as the only people in the group that I really care about surviving. I hope they don't make it so you have to watch the spin off as well.

Being a show rife with shoddy direction, poor acting and worse writing, I was absolutely shocked by how visceral and just plain amazing was Lawrence Gilliard Jr.'s delivery of the now famous TAINTED MEAT line. I never liked Bob as a character, but the actor redeemed him just with that tiny phrase.

Incredible.

Rick going bamf on the hunters was expected, but it was still shocking. He really went to town on them. I'm pleasantly surprised by the writers not dragging that particular subplot for the entire season.

TWD finally feels like the kind of show I envisioned when it was announced. I hope AMC doesn't fuck around with Gimple's vision, because the man gets it.

Why did they go to DC? Didn't get that part. And where have Carol and Daryl been?

You don't need to spoiler questions based on the previous episode, FYI.

They went to DC because that has been the plan all along for Abraham and co. and Glenn and Maggie promised to go if they just waited a little longer, so they did. Abe wants to just keep moving and not get stuck in a spot that can get Eugene killed.

Carol and Daryl left last episode to chase after the car that supposedly took Beth. Daryl came back last night but we don't know who he was with or what happened in between.

Haha, okay. :)

Why is Eugene so important? At least he sounded important when Abraham & CO talked about him when Rick and Abraham had a conflict.

Eugene claims to know how to stop what is going on (i.e. zombies) and needs to get to DC in order to do so. Abraham has taken on the duty to protect him as he is very intent on saving the world.

Exactly, which is why I was surprised that he was hacked to death in yesterday's episode.
It didn't seem plausible that Garreth would be able to work with the group based on what was done to one another by both parties, but it was in the trailer (at least I thought).

Boring episode.

I really wanted Bob to shout through and ask Rick to tie up the cannibals and leave them with him so when turns he can get his revenge. Then I remembered it's the Walking Dead and it's better to have machette gore + sentimental scene with a baby.

Also, isn't it unfortunate how the quality of the guests for Talking Dead has taken a huge nosedive since the 1st week? I mean Conan O'Brien, Scott Gimple and Greg Nicotero were fantastic after the first episode and now we get brain dead guests like Slash.

I'm a little confused about Abraham. In episode 2 he mentions to Rosita about "waiting for the moment" after watching Michonne bash a walker's head in. Was that meant to be forshadowing him as a threat or is he saying "these people are fucking crazy, let's leave when we get a chance".

Also I am a bit disappointed that this last episode wasn't a full 45 minutes of Martin being tortured and dismembered. Hate that guy. Hate his face.

I think you're watching the wrong show dude.

He meant he was waiting for the right moment to ask them to join him in going to D.C. Basically waiting until he thought they'd be more receptive to the idea.

I only care about Eugene, Abraham, Rosita and Maggie, and it's for the wrong reasons. Eugene and Abraham are loveable fucking goofballs. Rosita and Maggie are nice on the eyes. Writers haven't given me any reason to give a damn about the other characters. Bunch of bores. If Rick turned into a violent psycho asshole that would be cool though.

^ SPOILER:
I don't think it's either Beth, Carol or Morgan. I think it's Tyler Williams who somehow broke out from the hospital and met Daryl along the way and knows where Carol/Beth are located.

Was I the only one that thought it was Morgan who shot them in the church?

That would have been so awesome, and maybe him saying "I started cleaning the world from the bad, those people are bad."
dunno just wishful thinking from me

Yes. Although, Morgan is most likely the other person that Darryl found on his way to catch up with Beth's kidnappers.

This is from AMC's synopsis of the premiere. Take it as you will

Months after Rick's escape from Terminus, a masked stranger marches down the railroad tracks. He stops to see the Terminus sign Rick modified, and hangs his head. He removes his mask. It's Morgan.

I think the scene with
Morgan
was
in the future

Months
? Damn, I didn't get that impression

Nevermind the fact that it would be pretty out of character for Bob...

I'm almost convinced Chris Hardwick is following this thread. All Talking Dead discussion points were lifted straight out of it. Jokes, too, although they fell really flat and were nerdy coming from his mouth. I really can't stand the guy. I feel like he gives nerds everywhere a bad rap. Maybe it's just me.

Where did you get the synopsis?

And that is pretty surprising to me. Did not get the time change at all.

Sasha was stabbing the fuck out of that cannibal.....oddly the only one they didn't show getting butchered was the female cannibal, Michonne hit her but that was it....
