But why would I buy them there?
But why would I buy them there?
Who wants Ublislop games on their Xbox app and if so, why no cheevos? what madness is this?!But why would I buy them there?
Also Microsoft have to get their shit togheter. Not even Xbox achievements. That goes for every EA games as well.
It's not. Uplay is required, so you basically have to go trough two garbage launchers instead of one.well, better than buying them on the Ubisoft store
If Microsoft does not have Steam on their PC handheld, they may as well shelve the entire project. This does not bode well for the hope of Steam being available on the new xbox handheld.![]()
Genuinely baffling. Xbox has it's ecosystem with all the above mentioned and they decide "nahhh, can't be bothered this go round"No Play Anywhere support, no Achievement support, no cloud support, still requires Ubisoft Connect, and to my knowledge, the Xbox Store still offers executables that may constrain modding
So none of the pros of the ecosystem, and all the cons. Why would anyone buy these games here?

Simply, you won't.No Play Anywhere support, no Achievement support, no cloud support, still requires Ubisoft Connect, and to my knowledge, the Xbox Store still offers executables that may constrain modding
So none of the pros of the ecosystem, and all the cons. Why would anyone buy these games here?
Who asked for that?…
It's not. Uplay is required, so you basically have to go trough two garbage launchers instead of one.
But how will MS profit from Steam on it? STEAM won't give them a cut and profits on hardware only won't cut it.If Microsoft does not have Steam on their PC handheld, they may as well shelve the entire project.
Maybe so, but the market for a "handheld pc" which is what that is, would demand Steam. Microsoft is not Nintendo and can't sell a locked down handheld these days. Maybe 10 years ago, but since they are a 3rd party company now, no way.But how will MS profit from Steam on it? STEAM won't give them a cut and profits on hardware only won't cut it.
Requires Ubisoft Connect

Basic capabilities. No achievements, no play anywhere, no cloud saves, etc.

Like you said Shelve it. MS shareholders expect big returns on everything they do.Maybe so, but the market for a "handheld pc" which is what that is, would demand Steam. Microsoft is not Nintendo and can't sell a locked down handheld these days. Maybe 10 years ago, but since they are a 3rd party company now, no way.
Needs it's own Xbox integration of course. Gamepass. Steam app. Priced under $400. If it can't do that, shelve it.
Just check all 16 of the listings individually. None of them are Play Anywhere.
The only people who buy games on this store are Xbox players, who would also like a pc copy.
Why in the ever living garden of eden hellfire would anyone torment themselves to buy standalone pc digital copies on the MS store? Are you this delulu, Ubi?
The icing on the cake, is the Ubisoft Connect requirement of all of them.![]()
The real best deal in gaming. It gets better - play any 1 and you've played the other 15. Amazing deal.
Personally, I feel the execs at both companies are taking the piss. Laughing. Placing bets on how many copies will sell, and the over/under is 8.
Has to be a late April Fools or something. It's more baffling than Microsoft raising it's prices when already no one was buying at the lower price.
By NOW I expected a $199.99 Series S bundle with 3 months gamepass. But no.. it's $400 instead lol
Yeah, GOG and Steam are far and away beyond them. But you are right if they want to compete with say an Epic games.I think they will slowly add stuff like Play Anywhere later, but the inital PR damage matters in the games industry.
It's not like it's gonna set the charts on fire, but if MS wants to even have 5% share of the pc market, they better start competing at the very least, the Epic Games Store, in content delivery and features that pc players actually WANT.
Forget competing with other stores like GOG, they won't even get half as good as them in the next decade.
Nope. Ubisoft launcher doesn't restrict mods.well, better than buying them on the Ubisoft store
Nope. Ubisoft launcher doesn't restrict mods.
Nope. Mods the need some "scripts" don't work.neither does the Xbox launcher unless devs do it deliberately
sadly for me, the quick dopamine hit of increasing my gamer score is probably more fun than these games. (my gamer score was reset from 230k to 0 back in 2016)Who wants Ublislop games on their Xbox app and if so, why no cheevos? what madness is this?!
