1st Revolution pic

Ease of development is what Nintendo claims separates their next-generation hardware from the competition. "They do not need to make major changes from the games they were designing," said analyst Richard Doherty of The Envisioneering Group. "They have better performance without having to do a lot of extra work."

I will laugh if the Zelda screens we've seen look so good because when you run Gamecube games on the Revolution it somehow automatically makes them higher res, and the shots were taken from the game running on the Revolution.

Not being serious really. That quote just sounds dodgy.

It's just so small...I'm actually beginning to believe it WILL be that much less powerful than the other systems. I hope not, though if it's "nice enough" and whatever's innovative about the system really impresses me, I guess it'd be ok.

I don't like the sound of that quote. There's a difference between being easy to develop for because of the nature of the hardware and the easy to use tools and being easy to develop for because the hardware is only a notch above previous gen and devs can recycle old engines.

I think (hope) it just means because it has the same tool library or whatever it was announced a bit back.

It sure does. It just seems like they are not really answering your questions and you have to wait 2 more hours to find out. I mean I really hope it's not gimmicky or stupid. I sure dont like that dl comment too much, if it turns out to just be a system where you can dl anything from NES to Gamecube and that's all it does.....

That's not a revolution...

I am getting VERY concerned. PS3 is a tank and this thing... oh no.

Same here, I try to act like I don't care about Nintendo anymore...but I do, and I do want to see them do well. I hope the specs are killer and every bit as good as the X360.

You guys will see in a few hours when the specs are out
It wont be, and that is why Nintendo are prepping you with their statements so far.

To soften the blow.

they MUST release multiple colors as revolution. MUST. Pimp the black, but give other options.. platinum and white are musts.

It certainly doesn't look like a child's toy, that's for sure. But I think that they may have gone a bit too far. It could have some curves or something. It's just a bit too plain for me now.

Holy shit this is sexy! I don't think white will fit, but platinum will :D I really hope it launches with different colors, with mario red as one of them. Think of the theme editions! a mario edition with a shining red case and white light coming from the disc tray *fap*
If they release such a theme I will buy a 2nd RevOlution system :D

I wish we could see the back of that thing. Then we can tell if it uses standard media cards like the PS3. Would be cool to see SD and Compactflash support, as well as a usb port or two. I'd love for this thing to have an internal or detachable HDD as well.
