OP, you're not alone. I was thinking the same thing days ago hehehe This is kinda strange with E3 around de corner.

Lol. I miss him. What was the final tally on that last mega leak? Pretty good if I remember right.
 
We had a bunch of rumours and Gears leak. Other then that some things are predictable, such as Battletoads.

Now we're only 2 weeks from E3, at this point were better without any new leaks!
 
I was going to post a thread similar a few days ago, but then decided not to because I sensed it would become a sad thread of mourning The Last Guardian.

We're pretty far into current gen and the distance between hyped to cynical grows shorter with every divisive release and publisher PR nightmare. E3 is a time of brief renewal but ultimately everyone is just expecting the big pubs to play it safer than ever. The bulk of what's coming is not a surprise because we expect nothing but a new crop of iterated franchise tentpoles.

This is false, they agreed that their 2015 holiday lineup was a bit slim. This E3 is probably going to be very focused on 2016 releases and maybe even some 2017 early sneak peeks.
 
After such things as gamecom and PSX E3 has lost a bunch of it's fire for me. Also why would I need leaks? These guys are VERY predictatable. There are 2 games I hope to see but you are getting no leaks outta that company.

The lack of hype I think is because of what we know is mostly sequels, and not 2nd one in the series but like 4 or 5th in the series. Its getting fucking boring.

Halo 5
Uncharted 4
Tomb Raider 16
Gears or War 4
God of War 4

I mean WTF. There's gonna be new IPs of course but yeah people will be way more hyped once they are expecting 2nd sequels like Bloodborne 2, Minecraft 2, Etc. There's basically also no hardware reveals whatsoever (apart from morpheus)

Almost every company makes a series of incredibly predictable games in 2015.

Unless you're the kind of person who finds sequels to mega million selling games shocking ("OMG FALLOUT 4!" "XCOM 2!" "DARK SOULS 3!") you're not going to be surprised.

Well, there will be some indie games out of no where, but team of four people generally don't leak.

YUP.

It doesn't help that some of these companies practically tell you what their E3 is going to be months ahead via their financial calls. EA already revealed Garden Warfare 2 and the fact that Mirror's Edge will resurface at E3 via their release schedule. Ubisoft talked about their new IP.

That's why I'm far more interested in the likes of Rime, No Man's Sky, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Hyper Light Drifter, etc. I love sequels and I think they're vital to the industry, but new games are more exciting.

Isn't the main reason a sequel's yet to come because the first game didn't sell well? Why kill hope for a BGaE 3 with inevitably poor sales on Wii U?
 
I like that there are no leaks, means what's announced will be more interesting/surprising.

Though as someone already said, it may just be that there's nothing interesting going to be announced...

I live in hope anyway though.

What? From the looks of it, there will be quite a bit of new IP. Apart from already announced games like Quantum Break, Scalebound, Devil's Third, The Division and Rime, there is Ubi's leaked Hero and there could be new IP reveals from the likes of Sony Bend, Media Molecule and Guerrilla. That and we get sequels many people asked for, including Fallout, Star Fox, Star Wars Battlefront, Deus Ex, Mirror's Edge and Hitman. Seems the best of both worlds and one of the biggest E3's in ages.

I guess some people will only be satisfied when The Last Guardian is shown but even that could happen.
 
Maybe we have gotten leaks and they are so ridiculous that we refuse to believe them.

Either way, I'm hyped. I like to be surprised.
 
Remember last year when we thought Nintendos e3 was going to suck and then they hit us with four brand new games we had no idea about? (Mario maker, Splatoon, captain toad, and Kirby) on top of some games that we already knew about (Zelda and yoshi) and some updates on other games (star fox, x, bayoneta, hyrule warriors).

I thought nintendo would stink last year and they brought it.
 
I suppose Fallout 4 is a big leak. We all knew it was coming eventually, but that cinematic trailer thing sealed the deal. Makes the reveal tomorrow slightly less exciting though.

I can go ahead and confirm Dark Souls 2 for you. It will release on March 11, 2014 on last Gen consoles and April 2, 2015 on current Gen.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm trying to avoid getting too hyped because I want to manage my own expectations. PSX last year taught me a lot.
 
I tried to make a new thread on this but I cant I am a junior member, it seems like god of war 4 mIght be at E3, the site did not have the game up a few days ago and now do with it saying details coming soon about the game, its not ralating to god of war 3 ps4 since they have that listed on the site already. Take it with a grain of salt since it could be nothing.

Even on the nintendo side, animal crossing and paper Mario are basically all but confirmed through no fault but the people who work at nintendo

I wouldn't take this as indication of anything. Retailers list game wrongly all the time. I don't think GoW will be there. Probably a teaser at PSX and a full blowout next E3.
 
Last year's E3 was so boring it sucked the hype out of this one for me. I figure this way I won't be disappointed this time, and if something amazing actually does pop up I'll enjoy it all the more.
 
No leaks is cool with me. I still think about how awesome the implosion of the internet, and this forum would have been had Bloodborne not leaked a month before E3. Same with the Street Fighter V leak just before PSX.

Those are two pretty big megatons, during a time when we haven't really had any for years. More stuff like that is bound to happen since we're fairly early into the gen. I'd prefer if they were kept secret.

Honestly, I'm hoping this is the case. Much as I love Chibi-Robo, I'm not too keen on platforming. Rather another GameCube experience.

Besides, as for E3 leaks, my favourite are the photos from the show floor with the booths being set up. Though, I don't think they'll be put up until next week, right?
 
That's a relief, it might mean that my bingo card generator isn't outdated as soon as I finish it this time.
