The ponies are not what they seem.

Edit: Oops, thought this was the 'Edit Post' tab.

Lots of nudity.

Cheers. I can use those to get an erection which I can then give to your sister. ;)

No, you couldn't. The odds of you being able to have sex with any woman are probably not that great. This is NeoGAF, afterall.

Also, her BF would probably kill you. Would hate to lose a fellow Twin Peaks fan. ;)

If you enjoy kicks and Twin Peaks I recommend picking these up if you can find them anywhere for a decent price.

Nike SB Twin Peaks

They actually come with black laces on them, with the green ones in the box. The insole is the highlight really.

Dammit a few more episodes to watch. I do not want this series to end knowing there is nothing out there like it. I can't part with it. *cries* *cue dramatic twin peak music.*

I wonder if this showed aired in this day and age with the internet it would have been cancelled if there was a large vocal group.

And a great adaptation of Poe's Hop-Frog, called Fool's Fire, by Julie Taymor. Was on PBS in the early 90s. Don't think it has ever been given a home video release.

Now that it's on Netflix Instant Streaming I decided to give it a try. I'm not a fan of "scary" shows so I never gave this a shot before but I'm so glad I watched the first episode. Now I realize what I've been missing for 20 years. Wish I watched it earlier now. Going to watch the second episode tonight.

Just watched the pilot... some of the worst acting and casting I have ever seen. But I did enjoy seeing both of Susan Ross's parents in the same scene.

I know its the typical respnse for someone to say when someone doesn't like something they do, but I don't think you get what the show is doing. Its meant (among many other things) as a spoof of a bad soap opera.

Wasnt the movie suppose to be the first in a trilogy? Has lynch said anything about what the other two movies were suppose to be about?

Fans of Ray Wise (Leland Palmer) should check out Reaper. It's also on netflix and there's an episode that references Twin Peaks.

what does everyone think about an all-purpose David Lynch thread? Seems like it could be cool, though probably very spoiler heavy when it comes to discussing the movies. and, as we can see from the panty chewing video, Mr. Lynch himself is worthy of discussion too.

I love that guy (and actor, he's the one who created Robocop!) "Hey look Coop, it's trying to think" :D

Ray Wise was in that too--

The dialogue in this show is unlike anything. It's both cheesy and awesome at once, but not in that ironic "so bad it's good way." There are plenty of hard hitting scenes...especially his depictions of grief.

Just started watching this today. Got to the infamous dream sequence. Enjoying it thus far. Cooper is an amazing character. You can see where so many shows borrowed from this.

EDIT: Cooper "honking" HArry S. Truman's nose was amazing.

Really though, I just want a gif of that dude take his shit out of his locker and dancing away in the first episode. holy shit that was awesome and would be a badass gif.

I'm almost done with season one. I have about 15-20 minutes left of the seventh episode, and then it's time for the season finale. I'm really enjoying it so far.

On a side note, the Lynch/Frost title card at the end always seems to startle me.

Anyone know where to get or download that somewhat cheesy long song from season 2 "just you.....and I"

It's on the season 2 soundtrack.

Which is worth buying imo, along with the season 1 soundtrack. And the Fire Walk With Me soundtrack for that matter.

He became less involved partly due to the making of Wild at Heart, unfortunately. Which is frustrating because aside from one or two scenes it isn't a great movie.

Gonna have to disagree with you there. I love that movie.

Eh, I thought the movie was crap. The only good scene was the one with
David Bowie
.

It's not one of Lynch's best films, but I think it's quite good as a character study. Much better than I expected, at least. It just isn't what most Twin Peaks fans wanted.

I've heard the movie really strikes a chord (in a positive way) with survivors of rape, too. You gotta give it props for that.

I do enjoy it but it's not one of my favourites, I guess everyone just has different preferences when it comes to Lynch films. But this scene was excellent.

The Wicked Game instrumental followed by Sherilyn Fenn. Also Nic Cage was awesome as Sailor. I just felt that the film was very hit and miss.

Oops, fixed. Not really the best quality video anyway. Also the scene out of context is probably pointless. It's more emphatic when you're watching the film.

it's been a few years, but I don't remember it doing anything out of the ordinary than expand on Laura's story and
the black lodge

too much lynch not enough frost! altho i guess you could say that about s2 too which i like more than most people. also the rewrites and swaps they had to do b/c of the handful of people that didn't want to participate or only sparingly were offputting to me, and i just felt that fwwm was more blatant and iyf whereas tp was subtle and had to sort of shade things in which led for an actually much creepier and more distinctive tone. but then again even though i'm a lynch fan i'm much more of a tp fan so that's a part of it

FWWM wasn't very good just cos it wasn't needed. Laura, ultimately, wasn't a character we were all that invested in outside of the mystery of who killed her. Seeing her on screen just made me want to see her dead anyway.

just started watching and iim liking it so far.

i actually played deadly premonition on 360 before watching this and it's pretty clear the game is 100% inspired by this show. if you like the show and haven't played it yet you should play deadly premonition

Ahhhh, people keep bringing this up. I wish I had played it before I sold my 360.

its odd because the gameplay is pretty mediocre.... i mean the gameplay would have been dated if you played this in 2000. but the game was extremely entertaining because of the characters, dialog and story.

There's a lot of fans that dislike it but I genuinely think that fwwm is criminally underrated.

I can understand the criticism that it leaves nothing to the imagination, but what was there left after Lynch and Frost were forced to reveal the killer halfway through season 2? In a perfect world we wouldn't have Fire Walk With Me because the mystery of who killed Laura Palmer might've never been answered.

In a sense all FWWM is, is a welcome return to Twin Peaks despite the fact that it's a prequel. I think that when you take everything into consideration there isn't a lot to be disappointed by. It really has some spectacular scenes and the whole Chester Desmond storyline at the start is brilliant. It doesn't take anything away from the show at all in my opinion.
