Just here to show my face so ya'll don't think I'm avoiding this thread due to the Lakers not playing well (not that you even knew I was absent). I am trying to learn from last year to not get pissed off at every loss. But obviously the way they're playing for the most part won't get it done.

Wow, I just heard that Dirk passed Bird on the all time scoring list. That's ridiculous. It's a shame Dirk doesn't get more love.

He needs a championship or he will just be seen as an Ewing or Barkley (not that this is a bad thing), but that is how it works. It just sucks that a Bowen or Horry would get more acclaim at the end of the day.

Another reason to dislike Dwayne Wade.

Adam Morrison, two-time NBA champion. Almost as good as three-time NBA champion Devean George.

This loss is very salty. If we had lost by single digits so be it... but to get rammed up the ass by Boykins? So lame.

A win over Miami will more than make up for it though. I'm sure the Lakers will give some effort in that game. Then again, we did shit the bed quite epically against the LeBrons last year...

I'm confident the mindset will be completely different though.

I can hate Dwyane for beating us, but I have nothing against the guy. He is an amazing player playing for a team that does not have a real fanbase, in a market that does not appreciate the sport. So fuck Miami but I like Wade. I wish he would move to a real market where the fanbase would care about his talent.

Don't worry, man.

Miami has a "Fan Up" program to teach their fans how to cheer.

But it doesn't matter since they already won, they already won, and ain't no need to play no more games.

Fuck you. I am the fanbase.

I have to admit, I really hate Miami crowds right now. It's really sad that our teams have terrible home field/stadium advantage...fucking Dolphins about to go 1-7 at home :(

Sucks to be you.

I don't hate my crowds in LA.

The Czzz heard every one of them on June 17th, 2010.

Fuckers do the same shit in the NFL and the MLB, whenever those teams make the playoffs. And then the next season starts...see yall.

IDK man...I heard the Marlins couldn't sell out the World Series.

Twice!

Nah dude, I dunno about sellouts or not, but I was at 2 home games each WS, and the stadium was fucking packed. Heat fans were great during the NBA finals too. Miami fans know how to do events/ride the bandwagon.

So you are saying that Miami fans are exceptional because they can sell out a championship game in a major sport and cheer loudly...as opposed to where?

The Dolphins sucking has nothing too do with our crowd. :lol They just :/

Honestly the Bucks are probably better offensively without Jennings and Maggette chucking it up.

Better without Magette? Most definitely.

Better without Jennings? No, only on nights that Boykin has career highlights. Jennings still doesn't have a good FG%, but it's improving, especially near the rim, and just him being on the court opens up quite a bit. The Bucks team on a whole is offensively challenged, I wouldn't necessarily blame it on Brandon, although he does go into chuck mode when no one else can make any shots. Which has happened quite a bit this season.

So many people taking jabs at the Lakers. Chill. They are still missing Theo Ratliff.
Problem is that Ratliff took at least one and maybe both of Gasol's testicles when he went out. Hopefully his return coincides with the return of two time champion Pau Gasol and not the current sack of shit who is getting outplayed by garbage like Spencer Hawes.

Woah, Bucks destroyed the Lakers. Reminds me of when the Jazz got blown out by the Hornets in like their worst game of the season and then came back and destroyed the Bucks. However, not having Maggette improves the team, relio. lol Kings choke, lol Cousins and Evans combining for 7-31 against that staunch Warrior D.

edit: ESPN (Bucher) still pushing this Dwight to LA BS and Hollinger finally had to point out the Lakers are already over the LUXURY TAX (Not just over the salary cap, way over it) for the offseason when Dwight is a free agent. Come on.

We need to send Henning packing, ASAP. That dude passed the ball 45 times against the worst run defense in the NFL. How does this seem even remotely acceptable? I don't think Henne is the next coming of Montana or anything, but the fact that he throws so much and it's always predictable really puts him at a massive disadvantage. I'm so tired of pass on first down, run for 2 yards on second because the defense knows we need something before 3rd, and then Chad trying to convert a 3rd and 8 in the face of a blitz. FIRE DAN HENNING!!! Sure it doesn't help that the stadium is half full, but man, Henning is 90% of our problems.

Ahem.

So... Jazz game tonight in Minnesota. The T-Wolves are like our Bobcats to the Lakers. I always worry about this game.

You let Tom Penny troll you.

Kevin Love thinks the Wolves should run more traditional sets like pick and roll.
Luke and I were talking after the game that we should just run that a lot. If we need to get things going, especially in those third and fourth quarters when we have droughts, I think that that’s something that could be deadly for us.
I'd say Rambis had a good run, but he didn't.

I knew this Dwight to Lakers fabrication would begin soon. Lakers would have to trade their entire team to even legally acquire him through free agency.

Dark FaZe said:
Certainly wouldn't be the worst rental in the world...but who could they really give up that the nugs would want?
Butler and Stevenson = $14mil expiring. They would have to give up a couple of picks and Roddy Beaubois, too.

That's a better offer than what the Knicks have.

A Mavs team that finally, legitmately had that other guy to help Dirk out would be fucking BEASTLY.

But given the way the team's playing now, I wonder if they'd be hesitant to tinker?
Also, if it's a rental, would Cuban put up good pieces for trade? Nobody is crazy enough to make a trade of quality pieces/players/picks for a player they are only renting...right? Is there a precedent for trades like that?

Or it could be some Kwame for Gasol type of ridiculousness. Seems like the Lakers always find a way...

Atlanta?

Woah, Kanter apparently won't declare for the NBA if he's not allowed to play in college basketball this season (He won't be). Huge blow to this year's draft. With Kanter, Kyrie, Barnes, Jonas, Henson, Plumlee, and Jonas looking unlikely to declare (And Sullinger will probably think about returning as well), that leaves Perry Jones III as the only elite prospect for the class.

I'm listening to the the Dan LeBatard podcast from yesterday...

Joel Anthony has been christened as "The Warden" for the way he locked up up Stoudemire and Nowitzki :lol

Best radio show ever:lol I love how thats pretty much all they wanna talk about with Mike Miller

Watched the first 3 quarters of the Lakers game last night... knew they wouldn't get passed the 5~7 point cushion the Bucks were riding, so I got on CoD:BO for a while. I check NBA TV afterwards and see they lost by damn near 20 points?

Fuck them.

*emo*

I give LA a pass for last night. Their only focus is not becoming the Heat's first "statement" win.

LA will not become the Heat's first "statement" win.
