You do remember calling him one of the worst players in the NBA, just this season, right?

He had a rough start to the season and that Clipper game was so bad, but now he's really become a very good player. And KO'C > Riley. Getting Watson and Elson for the minimum was a complete steal as was Evans at 55. Jefferson and Bell are good replacements for Boozer and Wes that are far cheaper though losing Wes still hurts a ton. Didn't make stupid trades. Finally fixed a bad locker room. Also, deserves a bit of a lifetime award for his last few drafts (2005 with Deron and CJ, 2006 with Millsap, 2009 with Maynor and Wes) and the fact that he's finally quit taking complete knuckleheads who turn into convicts with the picks. Hayward pick was awful, but entire class was pretty bad so he gets a pass there. Riley put together a really flawed team that only came into existence because LeBron and Wade cared more about good weather and sex parties than winning.

Upset....the...chemistry?

Real gangstas move in silence and violence.

Taking him at his word means that Denver continues to just be making up shit...but we know Cuban is probably not to be taken exactly at his word.

Also, NEXT TOWN BROWN RECONFIRMED.

I guess when you've never won anything, statement games are in December and not June.

You're confusing statement for championship. I'm not saying this is the only statement game either but if you can't admit that your first match against the media fueled hype machine, super power assemblance force expected to wing rings (not talking about GAF) isn't a statment game, well then you're already creating an excuse for your team. The players know what this game is and to not show up is inexcusable. They should have plenty of motivation, especially with Kobe's 'killer instinct' I don't care if it is an December game.

I'm sure the Lakers will take it seriously, I just find it silly that Lakers-age is all 'lolz december game' when you guys know it's bigger than that. I understand it being downplayed though as the Heat haven't quite lived up to expectations (lol media) despite the 12 game streak they had managed.

Sounds like a perfect match for the Mavs, since they both always quit when they're ahead.

Clips sign Ike Diogu.

And someone like Love should get most improved. 14/11 -> 20.8/15.5

yeah, love or beasley, hell even darko for being able to stay on the floor.

Who will be Utah's participant in the Kurt Rambis "Not That Big a Deal" 3 Point Shootout tonight? I feel like Raja Bell is in for a 6/10 kind of night. He'll love these wide open looks.

If he deserves an award for drafting them, what does he deserve for immediately losing them to division rivals?

CJ Miles has never met an open three point look he didn't like so he'll take at least 14 tonight. I don't know if it'll be good or bad CJ so he could be 9/14 or 3/14.

Losing those guys goes on Greg Miller, not KO'C.

It's more like winning on Xmas or not has no impact on if we win a third straight.

GM of the year was over before the season started, it's riley.

Say what you want, but he took a collective dump on 4 or 5 other franchises.

Does it matter? Love will go for 40/30 and Jefferson will miss multiple layups (seriously why will this guy never dunk?) and the game will be close.

Riley didn't do shit, Lebron and Bosh decided thats where they wanted to go, it's not like he saw special hidden talent or pulled off lopsided trades that the winner of the award should have done.

Oh really? He didn't do shit?

Riley told LeBron that we're a fucking family.

@WojYahooNBA Paul Silas is a leading candidate to take over in Charlotte, two sources tell Y! Patrick Ewing and Mike Woodson under consideration too.
Dy doing cartwheels.

Although they need to stay away from Pat. What has the dude done as an assistant with the Magic?

Tell me a GM who has done more than riley to put his team in a winning position?

None. I don't even like that that's who its goign to go to, but it is riley.

It's certainly not the Utah GM that pisses Deron off yearly by trading away his best friend on the team every year.

It could be the nets guy, if he pulls off the melo trade. Or otis (magic) if they manage to finally click and go on a tear.

Grats to DY!

*high five*

I think TCB is more pointing out that the phrase is, can't give two shits. As in, can't be bothered with effort. You're saying, they can be.

Also, whilst heck isn't interchangeable in most places with hell, it certainly does exist as an expression on its own.

ding ding ding!

By this train of thought whatever team has the best record , that coach should get COTY. It doing what you can with what you have that makes you deserve the award, Miami was the chosen meeting place for the big 3, why does Riley deserve the credit?

Also i never said KOC deserved it.

Which is why it doesn't matter if they don't win. I'm merely speaking of whether they show up or not. So they shouldn't play hard against Boston in the regular season either? If every good team thought "meh, I'll only get out of bed for the games that actually matter" this sport would be complete garbage.

Umm, no actually, those two trains of thought don't go to the same place, but thanks for painting it in a mis-represented light.

Compared to last year, the Heat have more talent and are in a far superior spot to compete. Last year their chance of winning the title was about -100, this year, about +20, a 120 point turn around (yes, completely arbitary number system, but it's the differential thats my point). blah blah blah conspiracy theory. I sort of agree, i think it was all pre-aranged to a certain extent, but riley cleared enough cap to make it happen, and then made sure it did happen. He also was strong enough to tell LBJ no a lot already this season, and not throw spoe under the bus.

Made Dwight realize that Hakeem was better.

I'd say the Suns for getting rid of Turk if the same party wasn't responsible for taking him on in the first place :|

He cleared cap space? Yes because trading a recent 2nd pick for nothing is worthy of GM of the year.

@CBSSportsNBA: CBSSports.com's Ken Berger reports @KBerg_CBS that Brown was fired and asked for a list of interim candidates.
Sorry Rodeo. You lose.

Where the fuck is Dy? It's like we're all in his living room waiting for him to come out of his bedroom to celebrate his weeping with joy.

It's the holiday season. He might be out of town.

Yes, thats all he did. Thats exactly it, oh how right you are. I now see the light, if i'm the miam owner i'd shoot riley in the head and install marino in there.

I see it now, the award should go to the bulls GM for signing boozer to a contender.

Or Kahn for NOT getting turner. Because, thats how we judge GM's, right, on their drafting?

Or maybe it should go to donnie for making the resurgent knicks live or die by amare.

He's been away for a few days. I presume he's on a massive drinking binge laying a gutter somewhere after the last few cats games.
