The Heat beating the Jazz in Utah was a really good win even if was ref assisted and the Jazz were pretty tired.
I know the Magic catch a lot of shit here, but we did beat them big early in the year (despite losing big to them too, and playing them while they were injured)ItWasMeantToBe19 said:The Heat beating the Jazz in Utah was a really good win even if was ref assisted and the Jazz were pretty tired.

this is a phil jackson-led lakers team where they can give two shits about the first half of the season.
you would think after 7 championship runs, people would be more coolheaded about the current state of this laker squad.

I don't care how early in the season we are in, it's a statement game. This is if they don't 'show up' for the game, not necessarily if they lose.
Too bad both teams can't lose. I think I may have to do the unthinkable and root for the Pond because I'm still too disgusted with the Miami transaction.

No, F getting a pass, this time. This is bigger than the Lakers, and it's not about LA needing to make a statement. This is about the balance of Heat coverage going forward in to 2011.viakado said:just give them a pass until the all-star break.

RealGM said:Phil Jackson is tired of having to coach on Christmas Day and also dislikes the NBA's expanded holiday schedule.
"It used to be two teams," Jackson said. "It used to be Phoenix and L.A. and New York and Boston or New York and Philly or somebody on the East coast. Now I see that they have like six games on Christmas."
There are actually five games schedule this season, including the Heat at the Lakers.
"I don't think anybody should play on Christmas Day," Jackson said. "Soccer teams don't play this time of year, they take a break. I don't understand it.
Kobe Bryant has played on Christmas Day 13 times in his 15-year career.
"It's like Christian holidays don't mean anything to them anymore," said Jackson. "We just go out and play and entertain the TV. It's really weird."

If LA loses on the 25th, we will have to hear about it until the end of a regular season. Your bros in yellow need to do us ALL a big favor.
For the Greater Good, please murder that team!

Then in that case, Wesley Matthews will get it. He's been on a tear as a starter (20PPG, 48.5FG%, 3.8RPG, 40.7-3PT%) which is double from his games as a starter on the Jazz last year.Jeff-DSA said:He's on a major upswing though. Eh?ItWasMeantToBe19 said:Wes has always been really good. CJ went from being a scrub to being a third or fourth option on a fringe championship contender in one season. He's been horrible throughout his entire career and now he's to the point where he can drop 20-5-5-2-2 on every other night. And I'm not choosing who will win, but who should.
