Lebron James wins Eastern player of the week today.
Versatile is nice - but the only thing that he's ever asked to do regularly on the offensive end is be open and ready to hit an 18ft jumpshot. Bosh can do a lot of things, but most of those things require him to get the ball and that just isn't going down like it did in Toronto. Bosh #1 option is lulz, the only team afraid of that is Golden State. Not once has anyone in Heat-age posted "Lebron and Wade are on the bench - but its okay because we have Bosh! No worries!peterb0y said:Bosh gives you better and more versatile scoring, more size, and he can give you significantly more minutes. Furthermore, if Lebron and Wade are on the bench, he can go and be option 1, which Haslem could never do. He did that last game. Essentially, hes basically a bigger, quicker Haslem on the defensive end, with way more weapons and skill on the offensive end.
I'm not even trollin yet. I'm just talkin basketball and people want to act like Chris Bosh is having an all-star season.viakado said:this should be added to the OP.

this should be added to the OP as well.ToyMachine228 said:And the Heat will be stronger when Haslem returns and is at full strength, which may not even be this year. But he's a great player to have coming off the bench. He was averaging near a double double. 8 points, 8 rebounds or something like that. That's a great thing to have off your bench. And Bosh is a great thing to have in your starting line up. Since his struggles early in the season, he's been the most consistent of the Big 3. And that's not a knock at Wade or LBJ.

So one champion isn't enough?ryutaro's mama said:Yeah.
I'm heated over a regular season champ getting regular season accolades.
When your boy LeBron lifts the Larry O'Brien a couple of times, talk to me.
Till then, swim in the jizz pool created by ESPN, yourself and all the other "King's" subjects.
I agree, thats setting the bar way too high. How about just winning one game in the finals?mckmas8808 said:So one champion isn't enough?

LeBron said he never knew what "contraction" meant until he saw stories on the internet about his comments in PHX last week.
What did you think the reaction would be?LeBron: "I didn't mean to upset nobody."
You argue that he isn't good on def because he can't xtop Bargs? Have you watched Bargs this year? Barg's isn't great at scoring off the dribble facing up, but he can two dribbles and shoot, has an excellent first step to go with his size and scores well in the post. Bargs is a tough guard and would roast Bosh.ph33nix said:Haslem can do two things on offense: hit an open shot, or somehow make a random awkward-looking one. Defensively, his main strength is that he is just smart with position, but his athleticism limits him against quicker people sometimes. Fuck, Andrea Bargnani BURNED Haslem last year.
Dy I know you think Bosh is a Haslem replica in Miami right now but his ability to create his own shot is more helpful than you think. And defensively, Bosh is still pretty shitty at times but I've actually seen improvement from him so far this year to think that he won't be totally terrible by year's end. He'll still get pushed around, but I think our team can overcome his occasional RuPaulities
Bosh has never been the best pf at anything. Dirk, Duncan and Amare are better face up 4's than bosh.Tom Penny said:Bosh has been the best PF in the league for a long time in all facets. No way Haslem is remotely as good as him.

I made that same point earlier. Cuban or any GM would have gotten their ass beat for such comments.Doomsayer said:LeBron should have been fined for his comments. How can you come out and say things like that when there isn't even a CBA in place for next year?
Can you imagine if Phil Jackson or Doc Rivers said something like this? They would get fined 6 figures, at least.
I still don't understand the leagues obsession with protecting LeBron like he is some child.

Good luck with that. As long as he has his goons running his biz/life he isn't changing shit.ph33nix said:lebron really needs to stfu and stop embarrassing the franchise.
you're playing great basketball right now. your play is doing the talking, why are you continuing to be an honest and insecure person? -_-
i have faith that in time wade and riley will turn him into a real man
I like that he keeps spewing shit straight from ass mouth instead of just on twitter. Can't say he was hacked when he says stupid shit.ph33nix said:lebron really needs to stfu and stop embarrassing the franchise.

Tell us more about how Lebron is the best defensive player in the league and how he's already better than Magic.Srsly said:Again, why do people waste their time arguing with DY_nasty? He's one of the most ignorant basketball fans I've seen on the internet.
Advanced stats say that the best PF in the league is still in Toronto. derpUltimaKilo said:I agree, Lebron should stop talking. Just win is those damn Championships and let the haters cry.
Bosh is the best PF in the game right now, it's just a fact. Look up his efficiency rating and compare it to the other PFs.

Hah, nah. I don't care about that. It's an interesting point of contention and a good case study in how the league handles players versus team representatives.I must have missed it, not trying to steal your thunder
The state of this league is ridiculous right now though.

If you read my posts, you'd see that I never once said that Haslem was a better player than Bosh. I've said, repeatedly, that Haslem does everything that Miami asks of its PF better than Bosh. No one's put up a decent argument against it either.Srsly said:

But still man, its been months - when you gonna tell us why you think Lebron is better than Magic? :lol
holy shit.Srsly said:Yes, LeBron is better than Magic ever was. LeBron can do everything Magic could, is a much better defender and finisher, and actually has a decent shot -- something Magic didn't acquire until the tail end of his career. Magic had the luxury of joining arguably the best center of all-time his rookie year and consistently playing with a team stacked all the way down the line-up.

1) In what way does Miami play better with Bosh? He doesn't rebound or defend nearly as well as Haslem, no one will debate that, and his offense, although much better, has been reduced to barely more than that of Big Z in Cleveland. He is easily a better scorer, but is he going to be asked to do that with Wade and Lebron? No. And even when both Wade and Lebron are off the court, Bosh isn't able to maintain the pace alone. Even against shitty teams.Srsly said:Then why does Miami play much better with Bosh at PF than Haslem if Haslem supposedly gives Miami everything they need from their PF better than Bosh?
