Believe it or not refs actually call him for it at times.

I don't necessarily disagree, but i don't hold it against any team/coach for not winning the 90's. Dream and Jordon were just... insane for that decade.

Thats what i'm referring too, god he's a dumb ass. It proves that he really didn't do fucking anything in HS at all.

Fair enough.

He could've also said he thought contractions only happened with babies

HoopsWorld makes it sound as though the Grizz might shop Randolph, that would finally be a PF worth pursuing for us. Now the million dollar question, what the hell do we have that they'd actually want for him?

Its bullshit the way this board is skewed to fans of shitty teams- even if you spew absolute nonsense, if your a fan of a crap team your posts are golden. NBA Age RotY is a joke.

i want RotY :/

Zach would be awful for the Suns offensive system. He is the prototypical ISO power-forward and not a very good passer. Hell of a rebounder though and tries hard.

Although considering he is an expiring, he wouldn't be a terrible rental.

Brook Lopez.

Z-Bo wouldn't really help you.

Randolph would be an ugly fit with the Suns, but he's one of the top players available to rent this season. It's his Contract Year, he'll give a shit.

I want Yao to go to Sac-Town, if only because the nickname King Yao sounds boss as fuck.

Yeah, I was thinking along the lines of renting him for the boards as VC should provide the scoring punch we're lacking. The two of them are one year rentals so worst case scenario, lots of cap to go after someone else next year. If we can rid of Frye in the process, all the better. If we get VC to produce close to JR's numbers, we really only need the rebounding and interior D at this point so we could live with the experiment.

Lopez and Lopez? Well, that's how Standford roll'd.

Don't worry thekad, surely one of the 10 teams you bandwagon on will blow the Knicks out if the Rockets can't. Rockets still plan to swap with the Knicks' 1st rounder though, right? Knicks could use a high 1st this year.

We should have something for ASG Weekend.

All-Star Roster - All Star posters on NBA-GAF (get on that balloting, Crimson)

Dunk contest - Best rip on someone

3 point contest - Make 3 points about a team/player that makes for the best argument in favor of them.

ASG MVP- Best poster during the actual game

Z-Bo isn't exactly what we need. He'd be bit of an upgrade, but it's not going to help the suns long term, and the suns are not going to pay him the max money he's going to want.

Here's the counter argument, at what cost? for RoLo? no. For hakeem warrick and frye? probably. Thing is, it's not about THIS year anymore for the suns, it's about 2 years from now. And to that end, we may as well give up nash to someone, for picks & expirings obviously, but this suns team isn't winning anything at all, the best you could hope for is a first round upset, but thats a big stretch.

I don't need other teams to shit on the Knicks. The Rockets already did. On the Knicks home floor :lol

That's why I gave the tone that we didn't have anything to give for him. I'd LOVE to give them Warrick and Frye. I think ridding those contracts WOULD help us long term, hell, this term as Frye is killing us most of the time. I would like to see what a Z-bo, Gortat, and Lopez front court could do against larger teams like the Lakers. Like you said, there's no expectations at the moment and Z-Bo and VC will free up the money to go after long term prospects in the off season. Why not experiment if it doesn't cost us valuable pieces?

on a per36 post basis though thekad isn't as big a fan of AB as he pretends.

Because i'm not sure i want the suns FO to have cash to spend after last off seasons spending spree.

Also, the 2011 FA list isn't that spectacular, particularly when it looks as if melo won't make it to then.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?page=FreeAgents-10-11

Lord the 2011 FA class is average, after melo the next best player is either Afflalo or Marc Gasol (i'd love for the suns to pick up marc for the record).

So this is the Greg Oden award?

I have a right to make that joke, Warriors lost more games to injury than anyone last year

I admit, it's a highly appropriate joke. But "Yao Ming" or "Andrew Bynum" Award was also acceptable.

I'll go ahead and begin to put together my troll of the year award acceptance post. Better than Jeffrey's HoF freestyle.

Great idea but I am trying to think how to do it. It would be a great midseason placeholder, but I don't think we need to give any big awards out (save that for the end of the year).

hm, lemme brainstorm. I want to differentiate it from the end-of-the-year shenanigans but keep it interesting. Maybe some sort of mini-game we can all play?

Do we need to add another dubious award this year?

Triple L of the Year?

Crimson, thoughts?

I love it :lol

With the amount of LLLs we have this year, it'll be a tough race.

God the rookie crop this year is weak. Last year we had giri, diehard, Gondo, and benita. Thats fucking stacked. This year we have TheWayItsMeantToBe and a bunch of Triple Ls....come on...

thekad struggles when he can't go to a Kobe troll "attempt".

"Kobe doesn't play for the Trailblazers...shit! What do I do here?Uh...um..I'll post a smiley! Yeah, that's how I'll save face on this one!"

I think the Yao Ming thing is a bit much, he's a nice guy.

oh well Knicks game about to start. Maybe Miami will be hungover from Christmas hookers and blow. :(

Most of them conveniently found this thread only after July 8th, eventhough many of them been posting on the forum for years.

Does soundscream count as a rookie this year? He'd be the frontrunner for ROTY in my opinion.

Except, Bynum has actually played around 50 games each year.

Oden and Yao are in a class by themselves.

Most Baffling Performance is another one.

I don't like the Yao one cause he already showed us he can be a leader of the team and the best player at his position, but thats done with now. And for that, for the greatness we'll never get to see out of one of the few guys with a post game still, i feel the NBA is lessened. The other 2 have never been injury free long enough to really get to that stage in their career.
