I doubt they'll try and use Okafor as a consistent offensive weapon in the game. Okafor does also pick up fouls so hopefully he's not on the court much.

I want the opposite, I want the Knicks to drive and get to the line. These games they're winning, they're getting to the line 20-25 times a game. Yeah it's nice the 3 is there, but the Hornets win games on Defense. Knicks gotta use their length/size and abuse them in he paint.

Have you seen the Hornets play lately?

They're terrible. Even a Nash-less Suns team plays better than they do right now. The only reason I even think it'll be a good game is because D'Antoni doesn't ever look to play to his opponents weaknesses and his style should wake New Orleans up.

Knicks are not worldbeaters. If the opposing team has any size and Turiaf doesn't play it gets ridiculous inside. Plus there's always the chance they revert to "Fuck it I'm shooting deep" mode.

Look, I love how Knicks were running the constant PnR for the first time all season last game, but it's a new game. Plus dude, Hornets are 13-5. You can't really say they suck.

Prior to him leaving Cleveland those people didn't have much of a leg to stand on. Now it is pretty hard to like him.

The Hornet started 8-1; 5-4 since. But yeah, they're better than the Timberwolves so the Knicks don't have a chance.

PROVO -- Researchers at Brigham Young University and the University of Pennsylvania looked at data from 13 seasons of NBA basketball. They found the referees called 4 percent fewer fouls on players of their own race.

The researchers, economists Joe Price of BYU and Justin Wolfers of the University of Pennsylvania, say the point of the study wasn't to pick on NBA referees but to study unintentional biases when someone has to make a split second decision about others.

The study also found:

No single referee in the analysis stood out as being more or less biased in their calls, which strengthens the case that it happens unintentionally.
For flagrant and technical fouls - considered more subjective decisions - the racial bias manifests at about the same 4 percent rate seen with all fouls.
A coach's race also seems to subtly influence the decisions of referees, and it's about equal to the effect of one player's race.
Prompted by Price and Wolfers' NBA study, a researcher at the University of Texas at Austin looked into baseball. He found of balls and strikes called by home-plate umpires in Major League Baseball, a racial bias affected one of every 200 pitches on average.

As for New Orleans, except for the Bobcats game the problem lately has been them stinking it up in the second half. It seems the players run out of steam and play really passively after going up big early, especially CP3. It might be a conditioning issue or something... or maybe just depression because their home crowd sucks so much. That's why I was so surprised when they suddenly started blowing out the Bobcats late in the fourth quarter. Never underestimate Larry Brown, I guess.

Tier I (must watch):

Clippers @ Nuggets -- Clippers games are appointment viewing IMO, and the Nuggets are a good team. DAT GRIFFIN.

Mavericks @ Jazz -- Tiebreaker to determine second-best in the West.

Tier 2 (should be good):

Bulls @ Celtics -- Potentially the best game of the night, but it could also be a major letdown if Boozer plays like he did in Orlando.

Nets @ Bobcats -- Nets games against non-elite teams are always awesome. Yeah... I don't know if this really belongs this high but fuck it.

Knicks @ Hornets -- Like DY_nasty said above, the Hornets have been playing badly enough that this turns into an interesting matchup.

Tier 3 (tune in if it's close):

Thunder @ Raptors -- Thunder have been playing exciting games this season against bad teams, especially with Durant out. Unfortunately the Raptors are almost Raptors-bad so I doubt it will be close.

Blazers @ Wizards -- Okay this game will probably suck but the Blazers have been so bad lately that there might be BUCKHANTZ.

Rockets @ Grizzlies -- Battle of the Lakers killers: Yao vs. Gasol! Wait who the fuck is Scola

Pacers @ Suns -- This matchup looks better on paper than it will in reality I think, but if it's close after three things could get really interesting. Hibbert is turning into a beast.

Tier 4 (for fans of the teams only):
Sixers @ Hawks -- Two of the most boring teams to watch in the NBA. The only way this matchup could be made less interesting would be if you replaced the Sixers with the Pistons.

Pistons @ Magic -- Speaking of which.

Timberwolves @ Spurs -- Love and Beasley are still putting up $tats but the Spurs should be leading by 20 at the half.

Lakers @ Kings -- Not even a four game losing streak by the Lakers can make this game remotely interesting.

2010-11 NBA on TNT season up over 38% in Ratings, Total Viewers, Households and All Key Demos

TNT delivered 7,052,000 million total viewers, 4,867,000 million households and a 4.2 U.S. HH rating for one of the most anticipated regular season games of the year, as two-time NBA MVP LeBron James’ returned to Cleveland with his new team, the Miami Heat, to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers (8 p.m. ET). Locally the game, won by the Heat 118-90 behind James’ 38 points and eight assists, also delivered huge audiences in Miami (25.4 HH rating) and Cleveland (14.9 HH rating).

Overall, the NBA on TNT continues to deliver strong ratings and audiences for the network showing impressive gains in ratings, households, total viewers and all key demos. Through the first 14 games of the season the network is averaging the following over last year’s corresponding coverage.
