At first I was hyped to see if the Dust Chip would land us something nice. Then I saw that Larry had checked out in pre-season. I don't blame MJ at all for throwing his hand in on that one.

Matt Carroll AKA "Hammer" is a fan favorite (somehow) and Najera is Mr. Wonderful in the community so I can't really complain. All we need now is some dead and/or underage strippers to pile up in Larry Brown's office and the year will be a success.

I like two things:

1. He didn't get his team in trouble during the game by becoming visibly upset and getting a T (nor did the rest of the Clippers, for which I give them props, because I've seen a ton of teams melt down over far less), and
2. He is clearly really pissed off, which means he actually cares.

Way too many players seem totally disinterested in the results of the games.

Edit: 59 free throw attempts is not just the highest of this season... it's the highest since New York got 63 in 2006.

Honestly, I'd take Sheed if he was serious. Bulls need a big body to bang with the Howards/Oneals/Bynum's of the league, otherwise they're going to get destroyed down low. He's bigger and better on his feet than Asik for sure.

Crazy stat of the week: The Bulls have been down 12pts at some point during their last 9 games. Wtf is that? Rose seemed exhausted the last two games, and who can blame him when the team depends on him as much as they do. He expends a crazy amount of energy nightly. The last two nights were less than normal for him.

I honestly thing the Bulls should just make a big move. They're not competing with the Magic/Celtics as is. While I'm not necessarily saying Noah for Melo (about ready to do it if they toss back a big body), I would start seeing what it costs to get Stephen Jackson. He could bring character problems, but the team wouldn't be hurt with another tough guy in the locker room. He might gel really with w Noah. You probably give up Taj Gibson for him and some 1st rounders, but I think MJ still has love for the Bulls and would do the trade. Might take a little while though, until the Bobcats season's definitely done. (which in the East, means trade deadline MAYBE)

The other option being tossed around is Mayo (not really a fan) and Crawford, but with Joe Johnson injured now the Hawks need him more than ever. Either way, the team needs to make a move. There's something horribly inconsistent about the team, and the SG spot is one of the glaring holes. Trading Hinrich really hurts at times like these.

Wondering what's the deal with the hate for Vince Carter this season.

He seems to be playing a lot better than his first season with Orlando. His rebounding and assists are down, but his shooting percentages (besides FT) are all higher than his career averages.

But for $17 mil a season? Definitely no. Who else would the Magic pick up to replace him once his contract is up?
